Hmmm, can't decide if I should force myself to play Mass Effect, or restart Dead Space. I hate to restart Dead Space since I got through half of it on the PS3 version. That was a while ago though, so it might feel somewhat fresh.

Why is the combat in Mass Effect so dang terrible?
Mass Effect as a game is dang terrible.

Play Dead Space.
Urge to kill rising...
The Conduit gets a big thumbs up from me.
Oh nice. That is good to hear. I wasn't to fond of it at E3, glad to see the retail version getting positive reviews. I'll definitely pick it up now.
Urge to kill rising...
Correct me if I'm wrong but he's not knocking the narrative ;)

The combat did feel undercooked and the copy pasta planets were plenty I think everyone can agree.

Yea, I guess you're right. But the rest of the game makes up for any negatives. And I also like the pasta planets. Every time I would traverse space and encounter one of these gargantuan cheesy planets - I'd get super hungry. My favorite planet? Fettuccine. That planet was delicious...

I'm done... Linguine cluster...

Mass Effect was the most fun I had with a shooter in a while. Beat GoW for me at least, don't know why... even though it wasnt a shooter... ????

played randomly Coded Arms Contaigon... it's pretty impressive for a PSP FPS, but the dumbass AI is what ruins it.

Some of the Achievements in ME Could have been a little easier to get. I mean they actually did do something for you in game... Also fuck the moon and it's rocket spamming robots.

I played little Steambot Chronicles today. It's going to take a little while getting used to the camera and trot mobile controls again...

Finished Dead Space.
Holy crap that game is unbelievable.
Best game of '08 (I'm not sure if I want to play Fallout 3 anymore, the first few hours did NOTHING for me) no doubt.
The
Very, very, very, very last thing to happen scared the shit out of me. Last boss was a joke though. But holy crap the last cutscene was ridiculous.

Yea, the achievements were way to ridiculous. Requires you to beat the game at least three times...

Yeah I really liked the ending ending.

On another note:

nnnnnnnnnnnnnnoooooooooooooooooooooo michael

Dead Space was scary and all...but I didn't think it was that great...like it had fun parts but...IDK. I didn't care about the characters or anything like that at all.
FPS's focus on puzzles now? :whistle2:k
You've never played Half Life? Bioshock? Cryostasis? Penumbra? Metroid Prime? There's a whole world of higher concept FPS games that use puzzles to enhance the core shooting mechanics, and that started with Half Life.

Then there's the Call of Duty, Fear, Halo style that's pure combat. Conduit is one of those.

no there isn't a whole world of them. you just have the "new PC" goggles on. The supply runs out quickly. Hell, you named the good ones. Bioshock doesn't even have proper puzzles.

I've played the first 2, Bioshock I don't remember being all that puzzly. The next 2 I've never heard of, and Metroid Prime is more adventure game than FPS IMO. I don't think there's a whole world of them.
I thought Epic cancelled the retail pack and it was only going to be available on live for $15 (but missing something else).

Yup.

Epic has now drastically revised their release plan for Dark Corners and the retail compilation, All Fronts. Dark Corners is now priced 1200 Microsoft Points, and All Fronts will now be available only on Xbox Live, and will cost 1600 Points. Both will be available on July 28th.

So now people can pay $15 for the 7 new maps and "deleted" chapter or $20 for everything out there (combustible maps, snowblind maps, flashback maps, dark corners maps, lost chapter)
Really? Thats lame....Anyone still going to get it? I guess I will get the 20$ download pack because I do not have any of the DLC.

I guess the reason I like The Conduit is because I haven't really played any of the FPS on Wii and its pretty fresh. The enemies are a bit lame, but its nice fun once you get used to it. The online is alright, too.

Resident Evil:Archives on the other hand is stinky. Anyone who pays 30 bucks for the controls remapped to the wii controller is an idiot. Just feels really clunky and out of place, I guess.

I prefer the puzzle-loaded FPS games to the Halo-types, myself. There's more out there than you might think there are. One of my favorites was Geist. I think that if the shooting parts were better done in that game, it would have probably gotten more recognition, cause the puzzle aspects of it are pretty tight.

I've gotten back into playing Nocturne again after a brief time trying out Star Ocean 3. SO3 is okay I guess. Maybe I just need to spend more time on it to appreciate it or something.

Someone name a 360 game that they really like that is like less than 6 hours long. Easy achievements are a plus, but not a necessity. I'm determined to hit 10,000 gamerscore before school starts dammit.

Earth Defense Force!

Cheesies are not easy, though.

:applause:

The Rules Of The Game is a great film.

Not sure what to start now...
Choices are:
-Fracture
-Far Cry Instincts/Predator
-Infinite Undisovery
-Infamous
-ICO
-Shadow Of The Colossus

Preferably the shortest/least difficult one :)

I heard Fracture is super short.

I remember getting the beta in my OXM and being crazy excited. Quit playing after 2 hours, using a controller on an MMO killed me.
Earth Defense Force!

I've heard some good things about that, I might have to check it out.
Try the terminator game... I hear it's super short and decent.
I know it's short, but I heard it sucked pretty hard.

I'm just queuing something up for after I finish Prototype and Ghostbusters, and when I get too scared of Dead Space.

Infamous.
The LEGO games are pretty short and easy. Kung Fu Panda is easy gamerscore too.
Nah, I wouldn't say LEGO games are good for Achievements. The amount you have to collect for the points you get is not worth it.

I'd say King Kong. It isn't horrible, it's short and you get a thousand points just for beating it.

Dude, ICO definitely. I just beat it and it was under 4-5 hours. The experience was great and it was not difficult one bit. DO IT!

Legends of Wrestlemania - I played the PS3 version, but i'm guessing the Achievements are similar. Got all of the trophies within 8 hours i'd say. (and that was with watching all the pre-match videos and such)

Just watched a video of it, and that's definitely going to be what I play when I finish up those other games. Two player co op looks tremendously fun.

What other FPS games does Wii have actually? I can't really think of any other than Red Steel I guess, and to a lesser extent, MP3.

EDIT: Ah here's one.
