Sales of Mushihime-sama will be part of decision making as to whether or not to localizae Espgaluda II 360 and other games.

:whee:
Sweet. Can you post that news in the Shmup thread please? :)

I had already pre-ordered @PA w/$7off coupon but was considering canceling it since I have so many games lined up to get (damn you amazon) already. Now I'll just keep it, even though I already have mushi on PS2.

I wish they had done that with Death Smiles, though. I wonder if it will ever get a re-release as region-free?
If anyone wants to play MUA2 on XBL let me know.
I'll do it tonight with you man if you'd like, I call gambit though! ;)

Infamous is really fun. I put it in to try it and i'm almost through the first island now. I wish it had prototype's kind of moving through the city, but everything else is excellent.

What's the deal with Planescape: Torment? I can't find it on any DDL services. The more I hear about it, the more I want to play it.
I have both a Phat and 2000. In reality, I rather just own a 3000. I plan to get a Go regardless. I dunno, I'll give it some thought. Unfortunately I don't have the original box to either of them with me, since I left my game boxes at my parents house (no way I'm making the drive back to visit for a while). I use my 2000 as my main PSP, my Phat is used for my Japanese account (most weird Japanese demos).

I am debating about selling my 20GB PS3 (with a 250GB HDD) and using the money to just buy a 2nd PS3 slim (use it in my bedroom instead of my current 20GB). But I'm not going to consider until I buy an HDTV for my bedroom (already have one in my living room).
Are your parents paying all your bills or something?
Are your parents paying all your bills or something?
No, I pay for every single bill except cell phone, only because I'm apart of a family plan my Dad gets a huge discount on (I could easily pay that if I needed to). It's just that based on what I make, I get my rent + utilities paid in a week and a half, at worst case (meaning I don't work any overtime). I can't say the exact amount of extra money I have to spend, but I usually have enough to buy a decent amount of stuff I want.

Now my sister's bills on the other hand......
Are your parents paying all your bills or something?
It's not that crazy. When I was single I lived with 2 of my friends, and with utilities and rent it was only like $300 a month. Left me with a ton of spending money. I miss those days...

That doesn't include my electric, internet/TV, and water/trash.

Wow. My friends still live in that place I used to stay, and their rent is still only $650 a month. 2 and a half bedrooms.

I only spend like $380 for rent and utilities. I have cell phone, car insurance, and school loans. After that I'm saving/spending everything else.

It helps that I'm making an extra $400-900 a month now on top of what I was.

Where the hell do you live that $380 is all you pay for rent and utilities? :whistle2:s
I'm guessing Mango is making the big bucks now that he's working as an engineer.

Glad you finally got into the real world, mang.
Technically, I'm not there yet I can say, but I'm close. The job I have does pay pretty well (although cost of living is definitely higher compared to where I'm from), and its for a great company. Although, I do work a lot and usually volunteer to work the weekends also for overtime (worked 19 days straight not long ago). I'm mostly staying tight lipped about it for various reasons. I saw rent as high as $1400 a month not including utilities, if people think my rent is bad.

When it comes to HDTVs, I'm only looking at a 32" for my bedroom. I already purchased a Queen size bed + kitchen table and other furniture for my place, but I still need a sofa and HDTV for my bedroom (using a 20" SDTV there). I'm probably going to blog about it soon, but I'm debating if I should just stick to 720p for 32", or if I should get 1080p (I rather just be cheaper and stick to 720p, already have a 1080p one in my living room). Also, I'm debating between a Samsung or LG, or I might get a Sony, Toshiba, or Panasonic. I hope to spend no more than $450 before tax.
When I had a roomate, rent was still absurd. 650 a month plus electric, eventually plus gas too.
As I mentioned when I had roommates we only paid 217 each for rent, and utilities brought it up about another 100. Was a nice place too.

I always assumed New England was one of the more expensive places to live in the country. I guess not.

My brother and I shared a 2 bedroom in seattle for about 1100 a month + internet, I would murder for rent that cheap. Granted, I'm moving into a house right now that has 3 bedrooms and one other person in it (the owner), and I'll only be paying 200 a month. Bitchin.

Oh, komrade, we have so very much to discuss...

Unfortunately, it is not a common game by any means. It's not even up on GOG.

If you should somehow get your hands on a copy, go here before you start playing. You're going to want the fix pack, restoration, etc.

Be warned: party AI and pathfinding is borderline retarded in a fight. It may be incredibly frustrating to have Dak'kon and Morte get hung up on each-other when you order them to go rescue The Nameless One from the gang of thieves that have him cornered, but Don't Panic. With very few exceptions, dying is not harmful - and in fact, can be quite beneficial.

Don't wanna give away any more than that. Remember that intellectual stats, especially Wisdom, are far more important than physical stats (with the debatable exception of Constitution, which is incredawesome). Pay damn good attention to the text - there's a lot of it - and pursue as many dialogue paths as possible.

EDIT: Also, if you're getting your ass kicked too much early on, remember that you can rest in that one tomb that connects the mortuary to the city. I totally forgot about it my first playthrough, and wasted a fair bit of money on healing items and that one inn.

EDIT2: Also also, install the scale of souls mod. Do it. Trust me.

Yeah 3 guys in a two floor 3 bedroom two and a half bath townhouse. 1100 per month. Utilities go up a bit more in the winter but we only pay around $40 per with internets in summer. So it's closer to $400 actually, i lowballed it a little.

I'm finally playing through Halo 3's campaign after being at the start of the third level for a couple years now. I'm actually having a whole lot of fun with it and am getting sucked into the Halo lore again. Feels good man.
While I think the Halo lore is good, there's never been a good story in any of the games except marathon which kinda dosnt count.
I really liked one of the books back in Junior High. I think it was called Fall of Reich? It gave a really good back story to the chief and explained what happened to all the other spartans.

I've always liked the halo story, but more about the stuff going on behind the scenes. The nitty gritty dialog and shit is pretty bad in the games. I like the basic plot of this ancient race that had to hole up and destroy everything to stave off the flood, with the ark portal going to africa explaining where the human race came from, and this religious fanatic group of aliens that want to activiate this super-weapon..

It's a real mess of other influences, but when you strip out all the HOO RAH space marine shit it's kinda good, and surely more creative/detailed than most games get with their plot.

I think Halo's story falls apart about 1/4 through 2, and becomes completely illegible halfway through 3. Also, Cortana is probably the worst designed level ever. I hate that level so much. It's so bad. Also, by that point, Bungie was kind of phoning it in (And it shows
concept art as a background with a rendered ship going into said background
)

I'm with you there.

My largest complaint though of halo is the character animations in cut scenes...?????!?!? look slike a bad cartoon.

I also like the Halo books and wish that the games had stronger narratives. I thought Halo Wars had a decent story.

I guess, but it's all just standard fare in sci-fi.

It's all about having fun. I don't worry about no continues and such unless I get really comfortable with beating the game.

So I just watched the latest FFXIII Trailer (JP PS Store). I have no idea what's going on in that trailer, but it looks fan-fucking-tastic. Also, I'm pretty sure it ends with a big ass spoiler.

My thoughts on the trailer overall:
No one should want a FFVII remake FOR A LONG TIME after playing this game

EDIT: ^^^ what the hell is that supposed to be? That's not even viewable
Congrats TFN! ;)

My PS3 and I aren't on speaking terms right now.

Here's the first leaked video for GoW Collection, first one was taken down, this is from someone's cache.

Quality is REALLY BAD.

Ooo, thanks for that. Looks fantastic. So clean.

Holy crap! Gonna be a long wait!
Hope I don't get spoiled by the earlier Japan release.

Ok, PS3 restore FINALLY worked.
Still pissed I had to delete just about everything I had on it and now have to redownload everything.

The upgraded 35 item download queue is helping though.

I'm as addicted to infamous as i was to prototype. For some reason open world games that keep dangling a carrot in front of you like that just make it impossible to stop playing..

It looks good, no doubt, but from gameplay I've seen, nothing really draws me into it. I think I'm just having my doubts because of the past RPG's I have been playing, but I'm hoping for the best.
FF13 reminds me of a FF7/FFX hybrid for some reason.

Nice perty trailer. Had no idea what was going on, but it was nice.

Nice to see the same four japanese voice actors that voice every VO in Japan are back to voice this as well.

When did it become 35? As soon as the slim came out, my restore didn't work and i re-downloaded 150+ games from the psn, and the limit was still 16 or 17 at the time.

Anyone bought NFS Shift from BB for $40, if so is it any good.

I'm tempted but I've heard some bad things even thought the review scores seem ok, might just wait for the demo on Friday.
