Why does Dead Rising have to have such shitty gun mechanics a la Resident Evil. I can't get past this first guy (in Backup for Brad) that runs around in the rafters. :bomb:
Yeah that bit sucks, as has been said I'd ignore the guns in Dead Rising, the game came alive for me once I got the mini-chainsaws and the books that make them last for ages.

Real Mega Buster FTW! I still need to go back and actually get the Good Ending of that game. But I doubt I will ever go back to it.

I actually found that the good ending is easiest to get after you have something high powered like the Mega Buster since you can just barrel through crowds and bosses go down easy.

Sweet! Lots of great songs added to Singstar today.
Especially Stone Roses - I Wanna Be Adored (my fave track)
And Lady Gaga - Poker Face (UK only)
That sucks -- I was going to say, if it was games I was interested in, maybe I'd float you what you paid for them so you could put it toward DJ Hero or whatever... but I've never heard of Sands of Destruction and I already have half of LCS.
Thanks man, that was a good idea.

I just called them now and had them remove and replace the items. Very painless which was nice.

Planescape, motherfucker.

Where zombies and skeletons are really nice people, Succubi refuse to have sex, rats are dangerous and intelligent, and the most powerful being in existence may or may not be six giant squirrels with a robe, a ring of levitation, and an illusion spell.
I'll be getting in Brutal Legend, Uncharted 2, and Cross Edge tomorrow...too many games! Still decieding if I should get Borderlands and/or Tekken 6.
Yes. I will bug the crap out of you until you do.

Hm, Amazon shipped me Brutal Legend this morning, but my Uncharted 2 order is still pending. Hasn't even gone into "Shipping Soon" status. :(

Hey dallow, Amazon stuck DJ Hero Renegade into an existing ECA order for you? What did you say to get them to do it?

Damn

TFN.

It's simply a nicer turntable (apparently) with metal parts and a storage case that doubles as table with telescoping legs.

Also has a 2CD best of from Jay and Eminem that doesn't really matter.

All ingame music is the same.

I think gamestop has some pre-order bonus that gives you two bonus mixes from those guys. Hmm. Now how do I get that.....

I liked that you could also hook up a guitar and have someone play with you. Though I'm not sure if every song works with that, but it was a feature I had no idea about.

Could you put $5 down and get the code that way, or do they only give it to you after you pick it up?

I got the Uncharted 2 code that way 'cause they just gave it to me when I put the initial deposit down.

Rodimus, I'm going out my way to avoid getting Wii games now. Too much backlog, so I'm going to concentrate on PS3 and 360 only from now on. I admit, Boy and His Blob looks interesting, but I'm going to pass unless the reviews are phenomenal and I can get a cheap deal on it. :p

I just really hate pre-ordering and cancelling. They hassle me so much about it that I won't do it anymore. It's 20 guestions everytime even though I say "No, I don't want it anymore" over and over.
Lately, I've just been buying the game, and returning it to a different gamestop.

I guess I could do that with this one too.

I think I'm upcoming on the hardest boss fight of Lost Odyssey soon (End of Disc 3). It's still a couple of hours away, though. If it's not this upcoming fight, it must've been that one about halfway through Disc 1.

Oh, and I got unstuck on Bowser's Inside Story. That game is a really slow burn so far, and I kind of don't know if the pace will pick up.

IGN gave a A Boy & His Blob a 7.6.

The review was fairly positive giving it props for nice hand-drawn art and challenging puzzles. However it got critized for bad load times and overly complex controls. Sounds fun, but I'm glad I'm renting instead of buying.

Damn dallow, what kind of smooth game did you spit to get them to change your order so seamlessly? When I tried to get them to add DJ Hero Renegade Edition for PS3, they added a whole fucking PS3 system to the order! What's worse, they put the system into shipping status so I couldn't cancel it online and had to call in again to get them to fix it. Only the second time I called, they canceled the whole order and I lost the 30% discount completely. :(

Daaaaaaamn! Ouch man.

I just told her that I wanted to add an item to a specific order number.
So I gave her the order number, and then gave her the ASIN number of the game.

That was it!

Wait, you can actually talk to the rats? I thought you were joking. I may have tried that, actually, I don't remember.
Damn it, I'm listening to some of that Person Music Live concert and now I want to play P3 and P4 again...
Link plz.
Wait, you can actually talk to the rats? I thought you were joking. I may have tried that, actually, I don't remember.
Individual rats, no. A lone rat is not smart enough to communicate, but you shouldn't worry about that, because a lone rat is not smart enough to put up much of a fight, either.

Since you said you were having a lot of trouble with the rats, I'll assume that you were close to the Many As One, the collective rat consciousness. Those are the rats that you really wanna talk to. There should be some wererats nearby that will bring you to the Many As One. You should really patch up the game, though, because that part can be kinda buggy.

Or you can skip it. Like I said, it is very possible to go through the whole game without ever killing a rat.

In fact, there are only three enemies in the game that you are required to "kill". One of them is a zombie, and the other two survive the fight. Everyone else can be run past/ignored/talked out of fighting. And you'll probably get a shitload of EXP for talking to them.
Link plz.
Just search for it on Youtube and you should find it. I wish I could get the concert on CD...without having to spend $50 on the limited edition DVD.

Dang.

Well, I sent them an email and now all is good again. >_<

I sure was sweating bricks for a moment there. I mean I love PS3 and all, but I'm not ballin' like MM and don't need 3 PS3s in my house...yet.
Mind making a list of all the patches you would recommend for the game? I think I'd like to play it if I could find a copy.
I very much recommend it. Torment is probably my favourite WRPG - no, fuck that, favourite RPG - ever. Just keep in mind that the game's combat system is not particularly well done, and you'll have to micromanage them a lot to keep things running well. And, again, don't worry about getting your ass kicked in a fight - that happens a lot early on. And, yeah, be prepared for a fuckton of reading.

Depending on which version of the game you have, you may or may not need to start with this patch.

Lucky for you, three of the most important fan-made fixes have been amalgamated into this fixpack. That one fixes a crapload of things, including some bugs relating to the Many As One. Other major changes are the fixes to Dak'kon's sword (it now changes in its strength as his morale improves/worsens, as it was originally meant to), allowing many enemies to run, and a crapload of typo fixes.

Arguably the second most important thing to install is the tweak pack. There are a lot of thing included that you can turn on or leave off if you wish. At the very least, you'll want to install the Scale of Souls and Save Nordom. The Banter Accelorator is quite nice, too - if Black Isle wanted to shell out the money to get Homer Simpson, Pinky of "Pinky and the Brain", and Bastilla Shan in a room together, then you might as well hear them talk from time to time.

Moving on, there's unfinished business. Restoring cut content seems to be a big thing when it comes to Chris Avellone games. There's a bunch of good stuff in there.

Finally, there's the UI mod for higher resolutions.

Well, screw going to TRU tomorrow - I just ordered Brutal Legend and 2 copies of Uncharted online. $115 total with tax. Going to amazon the extra copy of Uncharted, and buy a copy at GameStop tomorrow with store credit, then return the TRU copy when it gets here or exchange it for Borderlands or something.

Amazon has my U2 order in "shipping soon" status...I don't think it will go out today, but here's hoping I have to play by the weekend. In training all this week, so I won't have time to stop by a B&M store to get a copy, but it's all good as I have Demon's Souls and NBA2K10 to play.

Can somebody explain to me the ending of FFX-2?
Like if Yuna ever found Tidus.

And also, the ending story of FFX? All I remember is that
Tidus & his buddies destroyed sin, his father, therefore he became the new sin. Thats why you see him in ghost form at the end of FFX.

I've beaten FFX and half of FFX-2, its just that my memories a little bit foggy since that was 5-6 years ago.

Depends on the ending you got, but the best one has
the Fayth agreeing to "dream" him up again for awhile.

Er, no. The idea is that they
broke the "Sin" cycle by killing Yunalesca. Tidus disappears because he is a "dream of the Fayth" and with Yunalesca gone they don't need to "dream" anymore. It's really rather dense.

I actually liked the story & ending to FFX. Better than most JRPGs. When
Tidus started fading away it kinda got to me.
With that said I tought FFX-2 was garbage.

I can't even start FFX. sure it's good, but the overly j-poppy feel it has kills it for me...

i think those are the same reasons why I can't get into FFXIII.

FFX has a +1 over XIII for me due to lulu strictly.

Woot Brutal Legend and Uncharted 2 tomorrow after classes. Wonder if gamestop still has the demo of dj hero up around me. My attention has been grabbed by it as of late and want to try it first.

Off topic I didn't know they started redoing dragonball z as dragonball kai lol. I'm such a sucker for horrible things but oh well. Getting the subs of it now.

They took the original footage, cropped it then censored it to hell and back with zero new original footage minus the opening. Enjoy ;)

Wow it didn't sound that bad. I was hoping it'd be as good as the new full metal alchemist. Will have to watch a few episodes first to give my opinion on it.

Sorry, but abandon all hope of that.

Yeah figured as much on that lol. The new full metal is everything the original was but so much better. Dbz was always just okay. Was hoping if they cut the fillers and made more emphasis on the manga it'd do good but ugh sounds like they screwed up again.

Ok I have some questions. I do not buy many new games, so I would like to know a few things about game of the year editions/greatest hits on PS3.

Which ones have new content?

If you buy the original can you download the additional content for free when the GOTY is released?

Is there a list somewhere that compares the different versions of games?

TIA

Well, funimation's at least releasing the dragon box over here. Footage that hasn't been remastered by them. :D So that's nice if you need your DBZ fix.

That's great to know Maklershed.

I wish I listened to my sub conscious and purchased Professor Layton 2 instead of Scribbelnauts. I really don't like that game anymore. *sigh*
I get a warm and fuzzy feeling seeing Uncharted 2 in the number 1 spot for games on Amazon.
I think Uncharted 2's like the big Elephant in the room right now. If you get it, no one cares. If you don't get it, you're looked upon as a jackass. Oh, and not having the PS3 isn't an excuse.

Well, at least that's the feeling I get from it.
