I didn't see this mentioned anywhere, and when I mentioned it another trade thread, it sounded like no one knew about it.

Anyway, In the new May Catalog B&M, the one with Star Wars on the front, it lists:

Trade your N64 plus 6 games for $50 credit. Since they sell the used systems in-store for $17.99, this may be YMMV.

Also works for trade PSX plus 5 games for $50.

Thanks Xclaude for the scan!

Anyone know of some cheapo titles for gba? Or would it be more efficient to just get some cheap ones at GR, using credit from trading nightmare of druaga and other similar type of trades?

So you can only get credit, not cash?

I'm thinking of trading in:

Nintendo 64
Body Harvest
Quest 64
Majora's Mask
Beetle Adventure Racing
Excitebike 64
Yoshi's Story

And if I can't get cash I'll reserve Dragon Quest VIII

you cannot get cash. BUT, you could get the credit on a gift card, and sell it for close to cash value on ebay, or here on the trading forum.

Actually, I was told I could get cash for my trade in, but it would be for 20% less. (ie- $50 credit or $40 cash). Don't know if this is standard or per store basis. You might want to ask if you're looking for straight cash though.

Gamestop has some $3 GBA titles: Iridion 3D, Fire Pro Wrestling, and ESPN International Winter Sports 2002. Iridion and Fire Pro should be easy to find. The ESPN game seems scarcer.

I'll probably trade in my silver SP, since I bought it used back in the day, and I've since gotten both a Cobalt and Pearl edition. So that's three SPs, and I'm only one guy (no kids). That's crazy. How do I end up with all this stuff? Oh yeah, this damn site, that's how!

Anyway, since I'm on the cusp of getting a DS, I don't need three SPs. Hell, I don't need two, but I'm keeping them anyway. I already have Fire Pro that I paid $3 for a long time ago. So I'll probably grab an Iridion when I'm at Gamestop this week, and then throw in some other game from my collection that I don't play anymore. And then use the dough to buy some DS or PSP games.

People like you are why I've still got my N64.

Lots of games I haven't played yet, and they're all incredibly cheap because of promotions like this one.

It's amazing to think about how much was spent on these consoles and games, though, and how little you get back in return.

Anybody know if these N64 titles are POX?

Donkey kong 64
Gex 64
Diddy Kong Racing
Gover
Bomberman Hero
Namco museum64

Or if you know how I can look it up, I'd appreciate it. Thanks.

Edit: nm... took them in and they all worked.
You can't get cash if you're using promotions. at least at all the stores I've ever been to.
Same here. I'm guessing you'd only get cash if you had a stupid employee.

I have 2 64s and 2 Majora's Masks. The other games are either all beat up (from GameCrazy or EB themselves, heh) or I just don't see myself playing them.

I assure you, I am NOT trading in my good titles.

My Eb Just Said The Offer Is Over! It was that damn manager...:bomb:

I'm going to have to take a print out of the Store Offers from their site and show it to him!

And if he still says no then VINNY SMASH!!! GRRRR!!!
How big of a deal is the boxes/instructions thing? Has there been a lot of problems with that?
The employee that rang me up had to look for the deal, and he read the fine print about the games having to have boxes/instructions. I was worried for a bit until he said that corporate makes up some of the dumbest things, and then he told me"don't worry about it." I think that a lot of employees will be leniant, but there probably are some major ass holes who will enforce the rule. It would be best just to try it out. Don't ask them if it works without the box/instruction manual, because then they will look it up and say no. Just give them the games, mention the deal, and go from there.
You don't play any of the Gamecube games that require multiple GBA's?
Yeah, but mostly with people who have their own GBAs. But you make a good point. Having FF:CC justifies having at least two SPS on-hand, just in case. But I think can cut back to two SPs and a DS without feeling too deprived.

Eh I've traded in good games like Majoras Mask, Ocarina and MSG: VR Missions. I don't really care. They won't be that hard to replace if I somehow want them down the line. One of my local used stores has tons of dollar 64 games and I've managed to pick up a good deal of games there for this. Picked up a 64 at GR today that I hope to trade in Wednesday. I don't know why I'm doing this really as I can't think of $220 worth of game stuff I want since portable games aren't really my thing though I would like a PSP to read comics on... hmm.

First of all, thanks OP! I just did a couple of PSX trade-ins yesterday. Here is a
breakdown of what games worked/didn't work:

PSX valid trade-ins (scanned as non-excluded - I didn't trade all of these in):
3 Extreme
Cool Boarders 3
Frogger
Jet Moto 2
Syphon Filter
Tony Hawk Pro Skater 2
Tony Hawk Pro Skater 3
WWF Smackdown 2

PSX excluded games:
Cool Boarders 2
Dead Ball Zone
Ridge Racer
WCW vs. The World
WCW/NWO Thunder
WWF War Zone

Before the clerk rang it up correctly, I only had around $27 trade-in credit for two
PSX systems/hook-ups and 24 games. I ended up with $100 trade-in credit for
trading in both PSX systems/hook-ups and 10 games. I had multiple copies of
some sports games, so I traded those in first. Also, each trade-in needed to be
rung up separately. The system didn't give promotion credit for both trade-ins on
the same transaction.

In case any of you are wondering, here are the 'non-promo' values for the stuff
I ended up trading in:
Cool Boarders 3, Tony Hawk Pro Skater, Tony Hawk Pro Skater 2 - 10 cents each
3 Extreme, Tony Hawk Pro Skater 3 - 25 cents each
WWF Smackdown 2 - 75 cents
PSX system with controller and RF or AV cable - $10.00

I'll probably do another PSX run later on this week. :)

First of all ^^^^Your welcome!^^^^

Second, I know I saw someone post on here that they traded a psx without cables. Has anyone else done this? I just found another psone mini this weekend, but no hookups. I have checked my local EBs and they don't have any available to purchase. I need to get rid of this psone by Saturday (July 2nd end of deal). I think I will just try going in there and playing dumb. Any odds on whether this will work?

Thanks,

I've only dealt with two clerks but I had all the cables in a little bundle. If it has at least one of them bunch it up enough and I doubt they will even look. My guys just grabbed them and put them on the floor. I've got one last run to make to EB with another 64+games I got. I'm thinking of grabbing another one at GR plus some games there but I don't know if GR still has the B2G1 deal going on plus their 64 games are all priced wrong.

I did another couple of PSX trade-ins yesterday.

PSX valid trade-ins:
Destruction Derby Raw
Die Hard Trilogy
The Italian Job
NASCAR Thunder 2002
Rayman
Tekken

PSX excluded games:
Broken Helix
Newman/Haas Racing

This was a different retail store than the last one I visited. I had to show the ad
to the clerk this time.

Here are the 'non-promo' values for the games I traded in:
The Italian Job - 10 cents
Die Hard Trilogy, Gran Turismo, Madden 2001, Rayman - 25 cents each
Destruction Derby Raw, NASCAR Thunder 2002, Tekken - 50 cents each
Frogger, Metal Gear Solid - 75 cents each

I may do another PSX run before this trade-in expires. I just wish I had crappier
N64 games than the ones I have to trade in. None of the EBGames I've been to
this week have N64 games for sale. :whistle2:(

Thanks OP got $100 in credit now, had to hunt around for the second trade in (got games from Gamestop)

Was tempted to get BF2, but I think I'm going to use the credit on Xbox 360

No problem. I just wish I could find a power cord/av plugs for the other one I picked up at a Yard Sale this weekend. Still planning on trying it without the cords.

Alright well if this is any help I'm pretty sure the Dreamcast uses the same AV cords as both PS2 and PSX

I just traded my stuff in (I waited until it was the cool guy that works there)... two of my games were POX but he just said that I could pick up some of PS1 games from the shelf and trade them in. He even went out and found two $.99 PO PS1 for a total for only $2 (after EDGE and tax).

POX:
Pandemonium
Spot Goes to Hollywood

PO:
Driver
Spec Ops
Gran Turismo
Mega Man X4
Namco Museum Vol 3

I picked up Riviera and WW Twisted for ~$10 after the $50 credit and tax.:D

Thanks OP!

^Do you have any little local chains? A store here has, at most of their shops, 64s for 20 and PSXs for 15 with PSOnes at 30. I've seen PSXs that cheap at a couple of other little stores too. I'm sure there are a few little places near where you live that has some deals. The local place for me is primarily a used music store but they have games too so check out some used CD shops too. If nothing else, Gamestop has 64s for 20 I believe.
Alright well if this is any help I'm pretty sure the Dreamcast uses the same AV cords as both PS2 and PSX
Nah I tried that when I couldn't find my old PSX cords. The power cord works but the DC AV plug is a little too big. I've seen tons of RF adapters at all but my primary EB so it's worth a shot if nothing else though I think they are like six dollars.

So yeah I'm not even sure if I've really said thanks. So, thank you so much hotwls. After tommorow I will have five systems traded in with hopefully a good enough base to save for when PS3 comes out and a preorder for We Love Katamari.
Anybody know where I can find a cheap Playstation or N64 to use on this deal?
Not sure what your definition of cheap is, but you can find the original Playstation for $19.99 at GameRush or Gamestop (preplayed of course).

I did what is probably my final PSX run for this promotion yesterday, getting
another $100 in trade-in credit. BTW, Rampage World Tour is a valid PSX trade-in.

I plan on trading in at least one N64 system and games (maybe two, depending
on how lax they are about game boxes and manuals).

You shouldn't have a problem. I don't think I have seen a N64 game in the box at EB for years.

On another note, I actually found a New Tetris 64 at My local EB last night. I about SHITE myself when I saw the price $24.99, but I bought it anyway. I have been looking for this for a while. I also found a Harvest Moon 64 and a Mario Party 3. They had a couple Spiderman's but I left them.

The nice thing about this deal is not only do we get great credit, but some people are cashing in their good games. My EB has more N64 games than ever before.

I traded in my N64 with 6 games that I didnt mind getting rid of. And I used my credit to purchase another N64.

So now, my delemma is should I trade in this N64 and 6 more games (netting me another $30)? These are the games I have left to trade:

Goldeneye
Mario 64
Mario Party
PerfectDark
Top Gear Overdrive
Turok
Zelda OOT (not gold)
Zelda MM (gold but written on with marker)

So basically, I would be selling a console (with expansion pak) and 6 games for $30. Is it worth it? Not that I would ever really play these again, but on ebay it seems to go for $30-$50.

Went and traded in my 64 and the following games worked.
WWF- No mercy
Wrestlemania 2000
Vigilante 8
Blast corps
hey you pickachu
Deadly arts
Thx to you guys i now have 50$ credit;-)

i'm going to ask my brother if he gives me his ps1. does syphon filter 1 work for the trade in (i paid 6 dollars for 4 new copies in the TRU green tag)? so i can get a gamecube.

Olympic Hocket 98 for 64 doesn't work so that can come off the list. Thank God there was a Gamerush close enough by that I could run to it and get a replacement.

I totally blanked on when he mentioned getting cash the first time. He said "You want cash? So do you want the $40 now then?" and I my mind kinda froze I just said "Um no. 50 right? You can put it on a gift card can't you?". I didn't realize what he had said until I was half way to Gamerush to get a new game. I did get the cash the second time though. So that more than made up for what I've paid for to get the credit to buy the 64s and spent on the games.

I'm all out of stuff now and stuck with a Slugfest and 3 POX games. Even my only friend with a 64 left doesn't want them. $138 left in credit, $40 cash and a preorder for We Love Katamari. Whoo. Thanks again!

If I were you I would buy a few cheap n64 games at EB and not trade in the Mario Party or the Zeldas. I think you could get more for those games on ebay.

I went in last night with my last psone to trade. I found an AV cable and a power adapter at EB the day before. The power adapter wasn't the right one (I traded a mini, and the cord fit the psx/ps2) but they didn't notice.

Don't remember what did work, but these were POX:

Bottom of the 9th
Wipeout 3

I have the ad and it says offer expires on July 2nd. Does that mean July 2nd is the last day, or it's over tonight? I may be going yard saling tomorrow, so If I find some more systems, I don't want to bother with them if the deals are over.

Yesterday, I traded in a Nintendo 64 and six cart-only games:

1080 Snowboarding
Madden 2002
NBA Courtside (first one)
Star Wars: Rogue Squadron
Top Gear Rally
WWF Wrestlemania 2000

The clerk also scanned a couple of extra carts I brought:
Quest 64 - valid for trade-in
Shadowman - excluded

I picked up a few N64 games with the credit:
Iggy's Reckin' Balls - $2.69
NBA Courtside (first one) - 2 copies at $1.34 each
Pokemon Stadium - $2.69
Star Wars Episode 1: Racer - $3.59
Twisted Edge Snowboarding - $1.79

Some copies of the same game were priced differently (I left a $4.99 copy of
NBA Courtside on the shelf). The copy of Iggy's Recking Balls I bought had
three prices on it - $14.99, $7.99, and $2.99 (the price it rung up at before
discount).

I'm going to a different EBgames today. Hopefully, I'll find cheap N64 games
there. :)

that sucks because i'vebeen working on gettinga ps2 for free but my friend keeps flaking... guess i'll have to wait on another tight deal like this to trade a ps2

Hey guys, I just got back from eb and brought in 2 N64 with crappy, but non sports games and a playstation with wicked crappy games and only one had instructions....$150 bucks richer! What was awesome was one of my N64 games was POX (knockout kings) and the girl and guy there were like, "oh just buy like a dollar game to make up for it" I was like sweeeet!! Also, my N64 controllers had loose sticks and they didn't even care. I feel very lucky, so I got Area 51 and 2 Shin Megami Nocturnes NEW! I am selling one on ebay because one just sold for like $80 new. Anyway, get in there cause it's only on another couple hours!

You are all welcome! I am glad so many cags were able to take advantage of this. I hope they do this again. I turned about $45 in Yard Sale purchases to make $200 EB credit.

I traded in a couple ps1s and some crazy cheap ps1 games today for a hundred bucks credit.... very nice. Also, it should be noted that the manager told me he was pretty sure the deal was going to run another month... apparently he's being told to keep up the poster advertising this deal. I suppose we'll be able to verify this at midnight when eb updates their deals listing on their website... if they do it right away.

Holy Freaking Shite! I hope that manager is right. I may keep going to Yard Sales after all.

I hope so too. I've been working way too much lately (fixed for now) and I didn't know about the deal until like 1 in the morning and spent a good chunk of the day trying to profit from it. I hope I get some more time to take advantage.

I'm hoping this offer is extended because as far as I know I'm the only person to have used it at all in my EB.
