I'm happy with the update although I can't tell no difference with Noel at all and someone told me she was changed somewhat... ;)

I wonder why you can't tell, HMM...

Cause I'm a scrub? It seems nice to play it again. I haven't in several months and been waiting on that patch. I can tell a difference with Haku-Men though.
It's not anything special.

The hotodog was actually pretty good though. If you go get one of those.
I never thought it would be. But I have seen those commercials for the last 5-6 years on TV so I want to try it at least once.
fuck General Raam. That is all.
Are you playing on Insane/Hardcore? (I forgot the name of the highest difficulty)
Are you playing on Insane/Hardcore? (I forgot the name of the highest difficulty)
Insane. I've beat it on that before, but far as I can remember we tried it at least 4 or 5 times before we finally killed him. It wasn't that bad.

I thought Gears 2 was way harder on insane than Gears was. I did beat it on insane as well and it wasn't easy. There was several parts I remember playing over and over.

Really? I found Gears 2 on insane MUCH easier. There weren't nearly as many places that my buddy and I got stuck for a long time as in Gears 1. Gears 2 on insane was more comparable to the first one on Hardcore in our opinions.

Raam was a pain on Insane. We finally beat him when we started doing a lot of blind firing rather than aiming down the sights at him. One of us would use the torque bow or grenade to spread the Kryll, then the other would blind fire at him.

On the lower difficulties we could do that and aim at him, but on Insane we were getting killed too quickly when exposing ourselves by aiming, and just used the blind fire and wore him down.

Yea, the campaign felt incredibly easier on insane in gears 2 to me too. For Raam I think me and my friend just ran around Raam with the Torque and sniper.

Yeah, that was how we did it on normal and hardcore, but we were getting killed while trying to snipe on insane, so we switched to having the person who was sniping start blind firing instead so they could hit him without exposing themselves.
I remember the Gears 1 ending to be terrible.
Yeah, there wasn't much of an ending. But who plays shooters for the story anyway?

I dont need a story, but I need an ending that means something when I finish the game.

Well it showed, IIRC,
the lightmass bomb going off and killing a bunch of locusts, but showed that the locust queen survived and the war would be stepping up.

Nothing mindblowing, but it finished the mission you were on at the end of the game and set the stage for the sequel. Was good enough for me in any case as I don't pay much attention to plot in shooters anyway.

I saw my old roommate playing it. Looked fun with a terrible story and awful voiceacting. And not good awful voiceacting. Just awful awful voiceacting.

Speaking of my old roommate, I've been ignoring him when he calls or texts since I bailed on him. Is that weird?
I'd only say it's weird if you two had something romantic going on.
Good to know. And with that not being the case I guess I'm good.

I'm proud of you, whoknows. So very proud.

Best thing ever?

YESSSS!
Are you playing on Insane/Hardcore? (I forgot the name of the highest difficulty)
Hardcore/Medium...finally beat him, ended up hitting him with 5 torque bow shots to start, then eventually ended up circling the Troika with him. Threw grenades around the corner then blind fired the Lancer until he was dead (and I was surprised since it seemed like he took a hell of a lot more shots in my earlier unsuccessful tries)
Chapter 14 of Dead Space 2 is fucking ridic. Constant streams of enemies while always being chased by another enemy you can't kill.
Run.

Now I want to know what movie that is.
Run.
Yeah I ended up just running through the entire part. But it was still annoying, at one point I had to reload a save and backtrack to the store because it checkpointed me with less than one health segment and only a few shots for one weapon.

I'm liking LA Noire a lot. The driving is much better than GTAIV, though I can think of ways to improve it (cockpit view, GPS, etc.). I'm not a fan of the esoteric dialog for interrogations, as I'd rather have a conversation instead of picking between truth/doubt/lie and hope that I made the right pick to the information I want. I'd have liked it if it was a bit more adventure game-like, maybe in the vein of how Phoenix Wright handled it.

Definitely jumping into that next...was going to go through Gears 2 now, but I probably won't ever play 3 if I do 1 and 2 back to back. (see also: Not playing Dead Space 2 yet because I did all the run throughs to get platinum in Dead Space 1 right before it came out and burnt myself out)

If I get those games from Playstation rewards I''ll be trading them to a friend for LA Noire and Dragon Age 2. I hope they hurry up and get here.

Also, linkpwns I did not hit on your sister.
Also, linkpwns I did not hit on your sister.
It's our word against yours, specifically Josh's word against yours.

Maybe not intentionally, but "You have a pretty accent" sure sounds like it to me.

Really impressed with LA Noire so far. They really captured the style and music perfectly.

In that time frame it was called a "map". ;)

I wanted to play Portal 2 co-op but none of my friends were on and now the NBA game is on. School is ruining my life.

They should have him pull out and unfold a huge map when you need to see where you are.

Also make you find where you are by looking at nearby intersections. That would be nice and realistic. Also a minigame where you attempt to re-fold the map after looking at it.

They didn't have GPS installed on horses in the old west either but Red Dead had a GPS function with its map.

I never played RDR. I didn't have the money when it came out and then they released the zombie thing for $30 and all my friends got it but I just couldn't bring myself to do it, even though I bought the last CoD map pack and really only play the zombie map. I was just busting your monstrous raccoon testicles anyways.

I'll stop complimenting people then.

Man, I forgot how great Sly 2 was compared to the first game.
