Not really. Not only is it like the hottest time of day in this shitty factory but it also means I would pretty much only get to talk to the girlfriend on the weekend, which would be less than two days a week since she works Saturdays. Also since I have no life here at home my entire life would be Work 3pm-11pm, come home and sleep 12am-3pm, repeat and hate my entire fuckin life. Also none of the money I make will go to anything but paying college bills.

I have more of an issue with the fact that the update doesn't really add anything useful for me.

I'd say both.

Alpha Protocol more-so since it got some pretty harsh reviews but it was actually pretty fun and interesting.

Singularity is sleeper quality because it's great but seems like no-one played it.

There was an update? I haven't gotten anything. I'm in the beta though.
 
Singularity was awesome, I highly recommend it.

I still haven't played Alpha Protocol, although I've been tempted too since it's gotten so cheap (even if I think Obsidian is one of the least competent developers I can name... like Alpha Protocol was Unreal Engine 3, but it sure doesn't look like it. Goes without saying almost everything they've produced has been kind of a buggy mess).
 
I wish my 360 was affected by the bad FW... I'd love a new slim with another year of XBL.
It would certainly push me in the direction of telling Sony to go fuck themselves. :)

I've worked second shift for nearly 10 years now. It's good hours. Especially if you dont have any kids. Only thing you really miss is evening TV/news but that's what DVRs are for.

But sleep 12am-3pm? Uh. First, you're probably going to be late for work if you do that. And why would you sleep for 15 hours?
 
Well obviously not to 3pm. But until whenever I have to get up to go there. And because I won't have anything else to do. I don't have any friends or anything at home and I won't be able to talk to the girlfriend since she'll be asleep or working. And that's the main problem, she works early in the morning until 6 and then goes to sleep around midnight, so I'll basically never be able to talk to her except on weekends, when she works Saturday too and will surely have her own shit to do once her friends get back for summer.

The leak that was supposedly from somebody at MS pointed to just the new disc format and paypal as the only additions that is supposed to be released tomorrow.

Singularity is the one that was sleeper quality. But from what I've heard Alpha Protocol isn't as bad as most reviews (although still not particularly great).


Speaking of sleeper quality, I've been playing Monster Tale on DS, and it is fantastic. Honestly, it's one of my favorite DS games so far. Absolutely love the 2D sprites.

I also fell for the hype with State of Emergency, and that game sucked hippo dick.

But to be fair, their success rate is pretty good.

Never played it... remember the hype after GTA3 came out of nowhere... I don't think I know anyone who actually owned it.
 
Played some more Outland. Did a good chunk of the 4th areas. Got the launch pad power, which is the last power, so I guess I'm nearing the end. Probably a little more of this area and a boss and then onto a final area/boss is my guess. I'm about 6 hours into it.


LA Noire I never had any interest in. I hate the GTA games, didn't care much for Phoenix Wright or other adventure games where you had to look around for clues etc. Given those two dislikes, I don't see how I wouldn't hate LA Noire.

I fell for SoE, too. God, that game was an absolute piece of shit.
 
Last time I'll bother you guys about this, but me and Rolento will be meeting up Monday night to play some old-school fighters on PS2 and then head to the Barcade. This will be taking place in Brooklyn, NY.

Let me know if anyone can make it, we actually have 1 spot left in our hotel room if anyone needs it.
 
As someone who is not a Rockstar fan, I am loving LA Noire. It is not like GTA or RDR at all other than there being an open city. I can see someone finding it boring in the same way that someone would find a noir film boring, but as a big fan of that type of stuff, I'm really into LA Noire so far.
 
Man, this whole Lady Gaga and Zynga cross-promotion is crazy. If you buy a $25 Zynga card at Best Buy they'll give you her new CD for free. I think this means I'm going to go get my fiancee a Zynga card for our anniversary this month :cool:

Thanks God she plays so much Farmville.
