Get it on PS3 and I'll play with you, if it has co-op type play where you can play with friends this time.
Sure! But multiplayer looks similar to Demon's where you're just a ghost helping (or hindering) other players, as opposed to a "full" co-op experience.

That's still fine -- I think you still got souls and could trade items, which is probably most of what I'd really care about. :)

--

ROFL -- people are acting like Seth Killian potentially confirming Jin for SFxT is news. Like they'd really leave him out. I wouldn't be surprised if both HIM and DEVIL JIN made it in... :gasp:

Apparently amazon has 'delivered' a package here but there is no sign of it. It was delivered by some organization called 'prestige'. Is there anything I can do?

Is there a tracking #? Sometimes if you look that up via the courier, you'll see notes about "hid it in the bushes".

My brother and me were literally just talking about how stupid it is that they haven't shown him in a trailer considering everyone knows he's going to be in the fucking game, the same way we know Heihachi is in. We also talked about how we want to fight Dark Ryu against Devil Jin.

-------
I went and traded in some shit I literally never play at Gamestop today and got a stupid amount of credit for it on account of the 50% trade boost so I got DCUO. For anyone interested in getting a disc copy let me tell you something! Even though you have the disc it doesn't actually run the game off the thing, you still have to sit through a 16 gig download of the game to your hdd along with all the update shit. I have had this motherfucker downloading for the last 3 hours.
Ouch.
Yeah, it is some straight up bullshit. I'm getting fucking annoyed sitting here waiting for it to be done. I just hit 50% downloaded while typing this. It's even worse because it can't be a background download, too.

Ugh. After getting my first paycheck I fell 100 percent worse. It just makes me realize that even with working this job that I hate in every way, I still won't be able to afford school, so what's the point of even working when all it does is make me bitter and angry at everything. I feel so disconnected.

I just looked that up and nothing. I guess I'll check with my apartments community building and see if they got anything.
I only ever just got to right after the first boss in Demons Souls. I wish I was able to get into that game.
You had to stick with it until you beat at least two of them. I had a character at about 150 and had beat it twice already. I decided I would try and get the platinum which is damn near impossible with the glitch were the cool blacksmith would disappear.

I ended up taking a break from it and when I came back I had no idea what I was doing and sucked ass at it. A friend asked to borrow it so I gave it to him and he tried to give it back the next time I saw him but I literally made him sit down and watch me play to give him an idea of how to play. It's no fucking God of War, that's fo sho.

The worst part of that platinum was getting the pure bladestone for the final upgrade. That and getting enough cloudstone chunks... I started speed running the game because farming Manta Rays in 4-3 was not working well, because there are 3 chunks in that area every time... I think I gave up farming in my third run, and purposefully started a new run, hurrying through 1-1, 4-1, and 4-2 as fast as possible.
My dude was like 183.

So I've been playing DCUO the last couple of hours and goddamn are these servers empty! I know that 8-10 AM Friday mornings isn't peak time, but I'm in a hub area and I've only seen 2 players.
Speaking of Vita, this could be cool:

That game looks sweet.

I think I'm slowly getting a better grasp of Sakura in SSF4 AE, still not winning matches though, haha.

Also, Amazon shipped my games insane fast, I ordered yesterday with 2 day shipping and the games arrived this morning (got 3rd Birthday and Final Fantasy IV Complete because they were on sale).

We should play SSF4AE and be scrubby together.

I'm still :rofl:ing at Pachter saying Nintendo "won" E3.

Three people in Spain were arrested for involvement in PSN hacks. If they're really part of the attack... well, have fun in federal-pound-me-in-the-ass-prison, boys.

He probably said that to help out his Nintendo stock.
Anyone else excited for Shadows of the Damned, or is it just me?
Yeah -- it's a sleeper though -- not a lot of hype, but looks like it could be great from what I've seen in previews.
We should play SSF4AE and be scrubby together.
Sure, I wouldn't mind; I think you've sent me a message before when I've been on, but that is usually after I've been obliterated by uraizen for like 20 matches straight so at that point I'm usually worn out, haha. Of course sometimes after that I try and fight some random scrubs online in Ranked matches and can't beat them either, I did manage to win a single round against a mashing Oni (fairly good finish too with a short EX combo ending in Sakura's Shinku Hadouken Ultra), but he still beat me in the other rounds.

I played all of MK's story mode in one sitting last night.

It was very entertaining. ^__^

Finished the game with everyone also, now let's see if I can do all 300 challenges before this rental goes back tomorrow.

It is because you are playing on the PS3. MMO's need to stay on the PC, sad truth.

So when is the SSF4 AE party?
Color swap costumes.
That really sounds like capcom... but at the same time, doesn't seem like something worth drawing attention to via a DLC menu.
Maybe they'll have new downloadable characters for 3s Online, I'd love to have Sakura.
Will not happen.
I don't think the fans would like that
It isn't going to matter if whatever this DLC thing is pisses off some of the fans, by the time they would probably announce it all the fans will already have the game, then it's just a question of if they will buy the DLC.
Will not happen.
Alright, DLC Darkstalkers characters, can't wait for my BB Hood in 3s Online. Perfect interlude for that new Darkstalkers game they should be making.

Yeah but you're talking a new character, which isn't something you just decide if you want or not. It directly affects the game balance, and stains the game's originality. The moment you add a character is the moment you're not playing 3s anymore.

I don't know what the DLC will be beyond new stages or maybe a game mode.

So BlazBlue CS wasn't BlazBlue CS the moment they added Makoto and Valkenhayn? and BB:CS2 wasn't BB:CS2 when they added Platinum?

MvC3 wasn't MvC3 when they added Jill and Shuma-Gorath? Or for that matter when players could unlock Akuma, Task Master, Sentinel, and Hsien-Ko?

I really don't see much difference in DLC characters versus unlockable characters that all fighting games used to do (and many still do) (it's just you have to pay more money to get the characters now rather than doing something in the game).

Depends on how current the game is, I'd wager.
At this point 3S is pretty much in the books -- they didn't redraw the graphics, they just added GGPO and some extra bells and whistles so far... which is why the DLC menu that "can't be talked about" is so strange.

Sure, but this isn't SF:3S, this is SF:3S Online, just like SF4 wasn't SSF4 wasn't SSF4 AE. I don't really see why they couldn't add new characters.

DLC characters for brand new games are fairly common now and don't have the same effect as in what I'm talking about. No one has an allegiance to a new game (or shouldn't), it's a growing culture in progress.

Whereas 3s is a timeless classic, it is loved for being 3s. You don't re-release Stacraft Broodwar in HD and say "lol, new DLC race guys!" Because you've essentially ruined everything appealing about the game.

You're trolling so hard icebeast! Damn it!

This. Fans want 3S in its original form. Don't mess with the balance or add/change shit, unless you're giving me the option to enable/disable it. HDR still had original mode, for example.

Plus it's a big pain in the ass to go back and add a 2D character in a game that's been finished for over a decade.

BlazBlue is still fresh, still in development, they just updated the arcade version, after all. So it's way easier to jump in, add a character, and balance it all out.

Otomedius Excellent -- is that full retail or XBLA? I hope it's the latter, I'd buy it.

--

I was going to make an analogy like panzer, but he beat me to it.
At least I can keep it in the same genre though.

Adding a DLC character to HDR or the upcoming MKT XBLA/PSN releases would not have been good. It'd be like some MUGEN shit.
Sort of like, instead of releasing SFIV, capcom released SSF2THDR with Viper/Rufus/Abel/Fuerte. What an odd choice that would have been.

What pisses me off and makes me curious at the same time is how adamant the guy demoing the game in the video is about it.

Maybe they'll let you enable disable whether to play with new characters, seems like they already give you tons of options to screw with the game anyways, like give the player a choice and it isn't any different from the tweaks you can already make to totally change how 3S works.

And clearly they are willing to add something to this old 2D fighter, hence the DLC Store...

I don't really mind, I play it alone anyways. I just find it odd that the online community's so dead. No wonder they're cutting the game down to one PvE and one PvP server.

3s is 3s and it's done. Its been done for years, I don't think they'll be revisiting it character or balance wise. They may add stuff like the second impact stages, though.
Anyone else excited for Shadows of the Damned, or is it just me?
I'm excited for it. It's probably my second most anticipated game of the summer.

Sigh

There goes my PS3. That's 2 systems in the last week I've had to send in for repairs, and they're my 2 newest systems (PS3 and 3DS).
Usually you're only replacing one part.
Decent video cards on their own run about the same price as a console.

They had a menu like that in the DC and Anniversary editions of 3S. It was fun as hell to play around with different settings. :bouncy:

But the main point I made earlier is that they'd have to go back and balance the game around a new character, or just dump them in like a MUGEN fan project and let it be. And I know they won't want to balance new characters out, so they'd either be super weak or overpowered. I don't want either. {-(

And adding 2I stages as DLC is a slap in the face. It's just data, would take them extremely little effort to dump them in. It's to be expected from greedy ass Capcom.
