From what I've seen of Infamous 2, it seems leagues better than Infamous 1. Though I haven't downloaded the demo yet.

Never played Crackdown 2, probably never will.

I would put Infamous above Crackdown, but that isn't saying much.

As a free game, Infamous I think is a good move by US Sony.

Having played Crackdown 2, I'd put Infamous above Crackdown easily. Just having the radar makes collecting the shards way more interesting, though Just Cause 2's the best of all the sandbox games.

Collecting Shards in Famous 2 is a lot easier than it was in the first game. I just got the rest of the Shard last night thanks to one of the powers you can unlock. It makes the closet shard appear at the edge of your mini map even if you are no where near it.

The "user created" stuff in Infamous 2 sucks so far. It's the kind of stuff you would expect someone in the community to make, not something the developers would put out.

The only Sucker Punch one I ended up doing was the Disco Ball one...the rest I did were day 1 "run 10 feet to the left" missions. I imagine there would be better stuff if they were able to have the Beta.
This is very true, I went into inFamous expecting Crackdown, and it was no Crackdown. Doesn't mean it was bad though, it just wasn't great. But I have a feeling inFamous 2 is better than Crackdown 2.
Crackdown 2 was a huge letdown. It literally felt like it could have been DLC for the original.

That Disco Ball quest was fucking dumb.
I've been meaning to play Crackdown 2. Never played 1.
Don't bother. It is literally Crackdown 1.1.
Man, I suck at SF4. :(
I do, too  I picked up AE a coouple of days ago and in the time since I've played last I have gotten so rusty it's fucking ridiculous. I've been training more here and there, but I'm not recapturing that magic yet.
Infamous is a pretty mediocre game. Hank is perhaps the most reasonable GGter here, and thus I'm not surprised by his accurate viewpoint.
I agree with this. I really didn't like Infamous at all, especially Cole. Cole seemed like a test on "How bland can we make a main character and get away with it while still making lots of money?" Everything he did or said just grated on me the wrong way. It's sad, I liked Zeke a lot but I don't think I can suffer through the games for that interaction with him (even if I am getting a free copy of Infamous 2).
----------
Played some Batman: AA GOTY last night! I forgot how good the game was. I sitll remember all the Riddle locations.

Resistance.

Okay so I ordered 'preordered' infamous 2 from amazon on Monday. I received the Gold Amp preorder bonus code, but not the bonus code for the club/katana/cane skin, which I am pretty sure was also a preorder bonus. So I contact customer service and explain it to them. And they send me another code. For the gold amp. :bomb:

Amazon only had the Gold Amp as a pre-order bonus. You can unlock those other weapons skins after you finish the game.

I'm annoyed that I have to choose between an outfit or a weapon skin in Infamous 2.

Started playing Dementium II yesterday, and so far this game is really great. I can already see they fixed the main problems from the first.

Really? I could have sworn that they were preoder bonuses as well. I also can't figure out how to actually use the gold amp skin.

Yeap, There were 3-4 different retailer specific pre-order bonuses. The Kessler Skin, Gold Amp, Lightning Hook and something else I can't remember.

Go into the Option menu and go down to the skin option.
I started playing Quake 4. Now that's a highly original and great game.

GOTY
Almost, but it's no Blacksite Area 51.
Started playing Star Trek Online yesterday, and so far this game is really great. I can already see they fixed the main problems from every other MMO.
Really? Do tell, go into excruciating detail.
Almost, but it's no Blacksite Area 51.
That game was amazing. Especially the PS3 version. The framerate helped me feel like I was really there.

Still, Blacksite Area 51 is no Clive Barkers Jericho.

Man, the demo for Jericho was so awesome, but it wasn't nearly as amazing as the Hour of Victory demo. Now there's a GOTY.
I played tons of Star Trek Online yesterday and it was GOTY. Should I go into excruciating detail?
Why yes, please do.
Man, the demo for Jericho was so awesome, but it wasn't nearly as amazing as the Hour of Victory demo. Now there's a GOTY.
I'll give you taht Hour of Victory looks pretty amazing, but it's no Darkest of Days. Time travelling pretty much is the definiton of GOTY

You got me there. It's also why Timeshift was GOTY whenever it came out.
You got me there. It's also why Timeshift was GOTY whenever it came out.
Timeshift can come out whenever it wants.

Because it can time travel.
Darkest of Days is the Shadow the Hedgehog of the FPS genre. And by that I mean it's the best one of its kind, and easily one of my favorite games of all time.
It's definitely a great game, I'd say it's the Pariah of this generation. Instant classic.

You know me so well

And speaking of Pariah, I think the Walmart near me still has that for like...$30

Dude, it's backwards compatible on 360. What are you waiting for? Go get that shit! :bouncy:

Finally finished the 360 version of Splinter Cell: Double Agent. As a huge fan of the series, uggh. It's easily the worst of the series (not counting the GBA and DS games I've never played).
The bros in Gears at least have personalities. Resistance has Nathan Hale and English lady.
And the English lady is on par with if not better than Cortana. :p
Resistance > Halo 3.
Dude, it's backwards compatible on 360. What are you waiting for? Go get that shit! :bouncy:
But I can't play BC games. I dont have a HDD
The bros in Gears at least have personalities. Resistance has Nathan Hale and English lady.
You did better than me simply by remembering Nathan Hale's name.

Picked up Infamous 2 for $30 at GameStop.

Saw GameSpot's stage demo for Saint's Row 3. I like that they don't have normal animations for anything (fighting or getting into cars), but that game would be more interesting if it had grappling hook/parachute as a travel option.

If Halo Anniversary and Halo 4 come out on time, that will make it four straight years of Halo releases and that could go up to six years if the trilogy is finished on Xbox 360.
But I can't play BC games. I dont have a HDD
Well, you'd better get one. It's well worth it.

Only reason I got my 360 an HDD is to play Final Fight Streetwise.
You did better than me simply by remembering Nathan Hale's name.
Isn't he the dude that hosts the Soup on E?

I just saw the BC list and now I need to get one.

Rogue Ops is BC? I'm in.

Joel McHale. Funny white dude on Community too.

Let's see:
Nope, Cortana wins for sure.
