As for student loans, I never had any. My dad works at the college so I got to go for free. Pretty sweet deal.
Sweet indeed.
I had none for undergrad as I went in state and with cheap instate tuition and having some partial scholarships my parents had saved more than enough to cover it.
All mine were from grad school--around $55K. I didn't get an assistantship my first year so that was a big hit to cover tuition and living costs as I could only work part time. The rest was just $5k or so a year after that (6 years) to help make ends me living in a pricey metro area as the assistantship didn't cover living costs even with roommates unless you lived in the ghetto.
Oh I've done the FAFSA and get a bunch of money from that
Do you get loans, though? It also decides how much money you can get from subsidized and unsubsidized loans. You may only be getting grants.
Those were the only parts I didn't care for also, simply because of instant deaths happening when Paula caught me, or monster dudes got too close.
I just hit Paula with light shots to stop her while trying to figure out what to do. The 3rd turret part was the cheapest one, just because of the fast sneaky dudes hiding behind the barriers.
Apparently the verdict is I have loans, my mother is a cunt and I am quitting this job.
I'm sorry man, that really sucks. I hope it gets better for you.
JSP, when I was in college, we had FAFSA and TAP -- TAP was NY's tuition assistance program. Basically the state's FAFSA.
When FAFSA plus scholarships plus TAP wasn't enough, the school's "Student Administration Services" dept., which handled your "aid package" was able to find me grants and such so I could make it work. If your college has a department like this (they also dealt with adding/dropping classes and advising based on "graduation requirements"), contact them NOW, try to get someone before they all go away on vacation for the 4th of July.
Got my $200 HKD for the Hong Kong PS Store. Picked up Tail of the Sun and Flight Control HD. I have enough left to get either Dark Mist or Malicious, but I'm $2 short to get both.
It sucks that they're not doing a full TNT for Giant Bomb, just a scrub league for Pac-Man.
frisky, you're right -- for some reason, JC2 is a lot of fun, once you get going and have some stuff unlocked... flying around a heli with a truck tethered to it for the "wrecking ball" trophy is both enjoyable and aggravating.
I'm eyeballing those copies of Tetris.
Plus they had Bayou Billy WITH BOX.
Damn brah. Pick me up a copy and I'll give you cost + shipping+ a little
I used to enjoy having free time at work, but now I despise it. My previous job had a lot of downtime and I got bored as . Being busy now keeps the day passing quickly.
It's the complete opposite of my last job which I hated so that might be why I like it. I might buy FFIV for PSP and play that all night when I'm working.
Pink can be manly. I rock the pink sometime. Gotta show bitches I'm all up in this and spreadin' breast cancer awareness and shit.
A man can wear pink and still be manly, but that doesn't make pink a manly color.

Thank you, that's actually exactly what I meant to say in words that actually makes sense.

Some of the voices in DCUO are completely shitty. The civilian ones are hilarious, though! I saved one dude and while getting up he said, "Thank you for saving me, they were TEARING ME APAAAAART!" then another guy with the exact same Tommy Wiseau impersonation said he needed to go meet his friend Mark while he ran off.

The university I went to (another school in the PA state college system, so I bet that they have the exact same policies) recently went to a direct-loan program, which basically meant that a borrower could only take enough to cover tuition & other university administered fees. Essentially, it was now harder to get refund checks from your student loans because they are now administered directly from the federal government. This happened the semester after I graduated, which was great timing because I lived off student loan's for the last 2 years.
What that means for you, though, is that you will most likely have to work in order to have spending money when you are at college. I am 100% positive that you will be able to get loans to cover your tuition, room & board and a university meal plan.
I would highly recommend doing all of your own loans and financial aid, by the way. It isn't hard and it is nice for you to be the one that makes your decisions for you. Plus that way you aren't in the dark about how things are going to work or how much money you are borrowing, if / when/ how much you can expect from a refund check etc...
Read this over, apply for the Stafford, get your sanity back.

See if you can take extra for the cost of living. I've heard mixed tales from friends about their success with it. PM me if you need more info.
