I wonder if my xbox can live Long enough to complete GOW3 without dying. Because of it's extreme limited use I've been able to preserve my original xbox 360. It's gotten me through gears 1 and 2, I just want to finish the trilogy...without having to buy a new console.

Really loving Gears 3. Played through Act 2 and then played Horde until after 5 am.

I really like the tweaks to horde with earning cash to buy turrets and barricades etc. It's also a heck of a lot harder than Horde in Gears 2. Only made it up to Wave 42 on normal in all that time with a group of 5 and we'd have easily blown through all 50 waves and then some in the same time in Gears 2. Much tougher with berserkers, lambent berserkers, brumaks etc.

Played some of the multiplayer as well. I like it better as having the respawns in team death match means a lot less sitting and watching after you die. I still hate the damn shotguns though. I really wish they'd make a death match mode where shotguns were a weapon spawn on the map rather than a default weapon. Maybe then people would play it as a covered based shooter instead of running and rolling around for one hit shotgun kills.
