GGT 143 chainsawed Kudo Tsunoda, not in Gears 3 but for real
I remember when I got Britney's Dance Beat from my aunt for christmas.

BEST CHRISTMAS EVER!!!
Great weekend. Helped friend finish putting up his fence on Friday, ate some brats, watched some new shitty TV shows he had on his DVR (New Girl sucked, but bitch is hot and it has motherfucking DAMON WAYANS JUNIOR in it) while drinking screwdrivers.

Saturday we put down not one but two bottles of Kraken. I kinda forgot to eat dinner so that first one hit me pretty rough, then I ate some mac and cheese and we crushed bottle two. Then we played beer darts until 4 AM, I had about 6 skunky beers (seriously fuck regular beer, shit is disgusting), and had a big ass Bailey's mudslide shake.

Sunday we had a football party and cooked up a shit ton of chicken wings and big ass burgers, didn't drink anything all day though.

Overall, pretty sweet weekend. :bouncy:
That stupid cocksucker Cheddahz bought me Nancy Drew: Trail of the Twister.
lol
Today I am officially one year away from being old...
Bit late, but happy birthday!!
I think you just made hank cry.

Happy b-day, you almost old fart.
The only way you'd make me cry is to drink all of my booze. :nottalking:
I played Ys: The Oath in Felgana until 2AM, which makes me a weeaboo.
Weeaboo.
Totally.

fucking weeaboos.
Yeah, fucking weeaboos. :nottalking:
Shadows of the Damned is $30.98 from Amazon.

I guess now's the time to buy it.

Aaaaand done.

Bought that and the Ico/SOTC Collection for a cool $50, thanks to that Gears 3 credit.
Nice combo.
Hank sent me a text:

"Juat threw up in the neighbor s yard like a boss. Hoo boy."

So I'd say he's tanked.
Why yes, I was.
is he ever not tanked?
I'm not tanked now. Sadly.

This is how you do it.
Dinner was fucking delicious. I love just coming up with something new randomly and having it work perfectly.
Yeah, I love just tossing food together and having it work out.

Thanks for the birthday wishes! My sister watched the kids, went to Texas Roadhouse with the wife and ate a ton of food, went home and had birthday sex, then played some Gears. Good times.

I woke up at like 3 AM due to someone making a literal fuckton of racket in my backyard. I grabbed my shoes and went out there and while I didn't find anyone the gate was open and there were very odd footprints (as if someone was only walking on their heels). Going to have a stakeout tonight.

Edit: WHOA! Ico/SotC comes out tomorrow? I know I'm making a trip to GameStop.

Haven't touched multiplayer in Gears 3 yet, only did part of Act 1 on arcade co-op. Going to need people to join up with me for an arcade insane co-op run once I unlock that difficulty.

I did play 30 seconds of a round against bots because I wanted to see if the executions counted toward the achievement... couldn't tell though because I only bothered to do it with the snub pistol, which I thought I was missing, but might have already had... will have to try it for the large weapons so all I'll be missing is a cleaver execution. :\

And holy shit at the story... End of chap 3 spoiler:
Doooooooooooooooooooooooooooooommmmmm! :(

Yeah, it counts towards the execution cheev, Frosty (I'm doing the same). And I'd deffs be down for a run through Insane co-op whenever I finally finish the campaign.

I have a feeling I'll be playing arcade mode on insane for a long time.

Is there any way to get a cleaver for the cleaver execution on the multi maps?
I'd brag about my weekend too, Hank, but you already know it sucked cock.
Yeah, it sounded like a total bummer, bro. Dramafest and no bitches, great combo.

Stupid ass leaky roof woke me up. Shit was dripping on my floor tom, keeping a steady beat at least.

You can get it in Horde (Wave 5-7) or right before you jack the gas barge in campaign.

I never seem to have a cleaver nearby when a non-glowie is actually downed. :\ Shame they don't have a cleaver spawn on multi maps -- Wasn't there a shield on the trenches? I need that one too, once I deal with the heavy weapons. :)

Good luck if you didn't preorder it. My store only got 3 copies of the GoW Origins Collection on launch day and had 1 preorder for it. Same thing happened with the Sly Collection. Gamestop really doesn't stock many of these HD remakes as they'd rather sell the used copies of them. Yes, even the used copies of games that were originally on the PS2 (they still sell SotC for almost $20 used and Ico for $30 used.)

If u have a KMart nearby, you might want to try there since it has a $15 gaming coupon w/purchase, which is the only deal on the game either online or in-store.

Dark Souls.

With so many great games coming in the coming months why waste time replaying games you've already played?

Assuming you've played both that is.

Exactly. Plus Ico/Shadow of the Colossus collection will sell tons of copies and most likely become a greatest hits game. So it ain't going anywhere.

I've never played ICO, been curious about the game for years. I feel like Dark Souls will easily outsell the collection, and maybe drop faster because it's multiplat as well. DS will definitely last me the semester though...hmm

And Deus will be $5 on Steam during my winter break, so that's the only 3 games I need this season

Why would you not get both? ;)
They're the last day 1 games of the year for me.

It depends -- if you want the free CE upgrade, get DS. If you want the cheaper game, get ICO. Eventually make sure to get them both. :D

I'd be kinda surprised if the collection sold a ton of copies... or even a fair number of copies. It's two lesser-known, pretentious PS2 games. Why the fuck would you buy that when you can get the latest piece of shit, which would this week be X-Men Destiny or dat Cabelas?

You wouldn't.

You can execute with the Boom shield? Wow, that's awesome! I can't wait to do that!

I actually just preordered it! Pretty excited to replay SoTC, too! I would look into shopping at KMart but I refuse to buy from the chain after my terrible experience working there.

I never used the Boom shield in Gears 2 except to block out enemies from an area in Horde so I had no idea. I tried to use it for the exact same purpose in Gears 3, but it appears that motherfuckers can kick that shit down now.

Well, to be fair, they're probably the two best-known lesser-known, pretentious PS2 games ever.

I'd be up for that.
They could kick it down in Gears 2 as well.
Really? I never had that happen, they would walk up to the shields and get stuck every time.

Of the lesser-known, pretentious PS2 games, yes, they are better-known than some others. But they still ain't no Cabelas.

Yeah, but the thing is, they WERE lesser known PS2 games. Now everyone knows about them.

To the average gamer, Ico/SotC would be "Those old ass PS2 games." and Dark Souls would be "That shit that ain't Skyrim." Neither one is Calladuty, so therefore average gamer won't be buying either.
Pretentious?
They sure as fuck ain't no Braid.

fuck that game.
Gears is pretentious.

Jonathan Blow told me he could make a much better game of Gears, but chooses not to.
He's just mad it's already full of Goombas.

Like linkpwns.

Gears of War with Goombas and Guidos would be awesome. Guidos of War.

Space marines with slicked back hair and fake tans.

Grenades, Tans, and Lancers.

Would be amazing.

I finished Gears 2...and jeez I thought people were exaggerating when they said how shoehorned in the Maria story is. "Bro, instead of saving the world lets go down this hallway and find my wife" and then 10 minutes later you're back and Dom acts exactly the same as he did before finding her.

Take the Gears story as seriously as you take Halo's. No reason to expect anything, just enjoy shooting whatever.

A lot of people played SotC, but I don't think ICO appeals to anyone beyond the 0.32% of gamers who browse forums.

I lent SotC to a friend of mine. He got lost on reaching the first colossi, got bored, decided it was more fun to chase that hawk in the sky and shoot arrows at it.

Oh casuals, you are such a delicate market.
