So I started Alan Wake and beat the first episode. I like the premise of "open but linear survival game" but the story far isn't really compelling me. I'm guessing it's Alan Wake himself. The character is really an unlikable asshole.
Wife gets Alan a typewriter. Alan: fuck you Wife who is also half naked.
Also the general theme of 'telling me how I feel when it isn't needed.' It really breaks the tension.

The combat's...okay. I seem to have discovered a bit of a trick to not waste batteries. So far, I like it, but a lot of strings are attached right now that will probably end up with me hating it overall. The facial animations are ATROCIOUS. N64 level of facial expressions here, sheesh. I also hate the camera perspective. It feels really floaty for a camera, and that's not a good thing.

I totally get why Alan acts the way he does, she's a jerk for trying to push shit on him all the time.

Hmm, Batman DLC prices and release dates got leaked. Looks like it's going to cost around $20 for all of it. I actually expected it to be a tad more expensive.

The first time I got pretty far in the level I walked right past the 2nd bonfire without noticing it, I was pissed. I also missed a ton of loot that I want to go back for before fighting the boss, but I don't want to retraverse that shit. Also fuck that lift.

EDIT: Oh sweet, DNF Access Club gave me the new DLC for free. I have been rewarded for knowing the difference between rape and aliens laying eggs.

I also got Sonic Generations on PC for $20, the price is most certainly right.

I got the DLC for free too and I don't even own DNF.

Seems like I am gonna be buying three copies of Sonic Generations. Sega deserves $60 from me.
