I have at least 17 XBLA games.

I have MVC2, FFVII, Suikoden, and fl0w.

Every time a new PSN game comes out that everyone gets hyped for I look it up and its some arty shit, a tower defense game, or a shooter.

I love Oblivion, but I gave up on it when I was going for the rest of the achivement points and got stuck because some guy I needed to talk to for a thieves guild quest had dissapeared off the planet

And like refusedchaos said, you can't play original Xbox games online anymore on 360, which was one advertised feature on the 360.
PS2 game servers turned off as well. Doesn't really matter since they took BC out anyways.

lolllllll

And PSN's exclusives are one of the main reasons I have a PS3.

Blu-Ray > PSN titles >>>> PS3 exclusives
That's a lot of fun games you probably missed.
I'm going to guess the number of XBLA titles you have is pretty small too.
There's a bunch of interesting stuff like:
Linger in the Shadows
.detuned
LocoRoco Correcho or whatever

I'm sure there's more, but if I haven't heard tons of stuff about them or bought/played/liked them myself, I don't feel right judging solid vs. garbage...

The Last Guy
Cuboid
I didn't like Gravity Crash or whatever it is, but some people seem to rave about it.

Ah ok, yeah, less than 20 is what I was thinking.

There's close to 50, maybe more XBLA games that I'd own if I had all that were interesting to me. Only have about 30 though currently, and 15 indie.
I have about 64ish PSN games, with many more on my "to buy" list.

XBLA has been on fire lately though, beating PSN in 2010 for me.

@ FROSTY
I was talking to preston with that quote. :)

yea I know, I just used the og xbox sever as an example

Who here didn't pick up a lot of XBL shit thanks to free/cheap points off this site? :)

Hm, that reminds me, I still have 1700 Wii points burned into my console that I have no fucking clue what to spend on. :(
Notes:
SF2 Turbo? Moot, HDRemix is on both.
Braid? On both.
UNO? On both.
For some reason, one of the Catan/Carcassonne is available but not in the US store, I think?
Also, Pacman CE rumoured to be coming.
You forgot Castle Crashers, but that's also coming to PSN.

PSN:
Trine
PJ Shooter
PJ Eden
PJ Monsters
Critter Crunch
Fat Princess
Ratchet & Clank: Quest for Booty
Flower
Flow
Burn Zombie Burn
WipEout HD
Siren: Blood Curse
Soldner X
Soldner X2
Everyday Shooter
Super Stardust HD
Tekken 5: DR

I'm sure there's more, but I have no experience or feedback with them myself, so I won't comment on those.
Add these:
echochrome
High Velocity Bowling
The Last Guy
Noby Noby Boy
Astro Tripper
Comet Crash
Zen Pinball
Hustle Kings
Trash Panic
Shatter
Fat Princess
Digger HD
Gravity Crash
Mushroom Wars
Sam & Max: The Devil's Playground
Mortal Kombat 2

A number of PS2 games are still online, so the PS2 lasted longer as an online platform.

My friend got banned from Gamestop because of too much flipping....

He actually couldn't trade anything, return anything, or use his edge card to shop at any local store. wow.

Took 3 days with corporate on the phone to get it lifted

When it comes to PSN and XBLA games, I thinks it's best to say quality over quantity. I have both systems, and arcade games on both, but I just prefer PSN and the games offered on there. I do wish Castle Crashers was on PSN now though, love that game.

C'mon people, don't buy the Capcom game that has the DRM. 3 copies of the game is pretty darn reasonable. If they can't allow that then they don't deserve the sale.

Please people, don't buy it. Make them take it out. There are tons of other games out there.
Ah yes, I forgot about Cave Story. Is that out? I gave up on Wii shop a while ago. :p
I wish Nintendo didn't give up on selling codes on Amazon after day one so I could just pay for Cave Story. I guess I can get 2000 points and pick up one of the Bit.Trip games or something else like that.

That's exactly why I haven't hardly bought any Wiiware--you only have 2 options: 1) buy a card, 2) store the CC info in the Wii.

I like how PSN is, where your CC# is stored online, and you have the option of buying e-cards.
This guy in my media class gave a presentation about star wars today and he mentioned how The Force Unleashed was a revolution in gaming like A New Hope was to films
You should have raised your hand and asked him if the Star Destroyer force pull-down part was a revolution in making people break controllers.

Shit was easy until Sith Lord difficulty.

I'm writing a paper about how video games do not make children kill their parents while fucking hookers, someone here has gotta have some nice links that will help me out

Dont link me to a search engine you fuck
Sony is going to end up charging for PSN--I know they want to. I don't think they can keep this "free" shit up forever, so something's gotta give.
Next gen, guaranteed. All this gen has taught sony is that people are willing to pay for a premium service because their competitor has more of an online presence and outsold them. They left money on the fucking table, even if they only charged half of what XBL does.

That probably would have been the best thing for consumers too, because it would have driven MS to bring their cost down, vs position themselves as the premium experience.

Also, gamesharing is retarded. 5 activations and that's it is a stupid rule, and gamesharing discourages publishers from publishing PSN exclusives. Also, fuck Nintendo's DRM. It's the only reason I don't have a DSi XL.

Having it tied to your gamertag and console ID is the best solution, along with allowing license transfer. Before they allowed license transfer it was pretty shitty, but now i see no reason for anyone to complain.

I see plenty of PSN exclusives.
I also see plenty of companies moving ports to PSN. Example: Castle Crashers.

I actually own about 10 XBLA games (3 indies, too) and probably about 20-30 PSN games. I really love the XBLA's presentation of everything, but the cheap prices and ability to gameshare on PS3 wins it out for me every time.
Death to gamesharing!

Anyone playing Splinter Cell still, and want to do co-op with me when I finish the SP?
Definitely, I've played through the first three missions on realistic, and i'd love to play with someone who isn't a random person who leaves 3/4 of the way through the mission.

I tried KFC's Double Down yesterday and was completely disapointed with it.

I'd say yes if I was any good at the game. I'd be a great decoy if you're look for one.

Speaking of SC, Am I the only one who disliked the last level of the game?
hrrrrm.

my ps3 slim doesn't sit flat. the back left corner's foot pad seems to be a bit short or something.
Mine doesn't either! That's crazy, I thought mine was just off because I have a crappy and terribly made walmart display stand for it.

Speaking of which they ever announce a release date for that?

Added both of you. I'm not the greatest spy either, so don't worry. The last stage was horribly designed. single entry points and unkillable lights, it was just obnoxious.

Those lights make wonder if the game was actually finished...

I own something like 55-60 XBLA games and about 20 PSN games.

I still think you guys are being pretty damn generous on the "quality" titles lists (on both consoles.)

I own more XBLA games because it is my preferred console. It is my preferred console because I often play with real-life friends (about 75% of my online gaming is with real friends) and they all have 360s. The presentation is also nicer on XBLA, in my opinion.

The lack of an official mic really kills PSN for me. I am fairly nerdy, so I know exactly what I need to get (although I still haven't) but playing stuff on it sucks because so few people have mics. The average consumer does not own one, unlike with XBLA.

I agree on the mic part, most people don't take the initiative to go out and buy a bluetooth. It would have been nice if one was included with the system, I think it would improve online gaming.

IDK. Haven't heard from him since that big flood where most of Rhode Island washed out to sea.

Almost got my first platinum trophy in the Ultimate Genesis collection. Just gotta beat the damn Mean Bean Machine and it is mine!

What choice did you make at the end? Does it matter?

Against my better judgment I ordered one of those Final Fight press kits.

I was talking about all the invincible lights at the end of the game. I probably should have been a little more clear on that.

I have no interest in listening or talking to the average PSN/XBL user, so that's a non-factor for me.

If your having a hard time with that trophy still, let me know. I may be able to help you.

Got my 360 today, the spring bundle with forza and odst. Gotta play Reach, that pushed me over the edge.
Anyway, not going to go crazy with games since I have a backlog with the wii (actually selling a small bulk of them), and probably online going to pick up conviction, red dead 2, alan wake, l4d2 and mw2. Should last me awhile.
