I keep waiting for Forza 3 to plummet in price so I can finally play it. I was going to wait out Gran Turismo 5 but then I realized that I might be dead by 2058.
If your having a hard time with that trophy still, let me know. I may be able to help you.
Thanks but I'm really terrible at these sort of puzzle games. The Columns trophy even took me a long time to get. On Mean Bean, I'm already cheating and using the password to get to the last level. I guess I just need to practice some.

That Yatta! trophy/achievement is balls. Even if you use a password to get you to the last stage, it's no cakewalk, like most of the rest of them.
Mine doesn't either! That's crazy, I thought mine was just off because I have a crappy and terribly made walmart display stand for it.
It's very sensitive to the slightest bit of unlevel. I'm so fucking serious. I disconnected it and set it on the tile floor and the unlevel corner shifted. So I changed it's position with the 360 on the table where it sits. Now it's level. :|

Bought Afterburner Climax on PSN. Game is bad ass, IF you like Afterburner or Sega arcade games.

And I got my official Sony PS3 Bluetooth headset last year for $18 after buying the Endwar bundle and flipping Endwar. It's pretty nice.

I'll probably continue on with Splinter Cell Conviction tonight. I'm in a shooty but stealthy kind of a mood. I also want to play more JC2, 'cause hijacking airplanes and helicopters while they're in flight hasn't gotten old yet.
Big kirby fan...whats the better game, Squeak Squad or Super Star Ultra?
Squeak Squad was good, but incredibly short and lacking in extras. Super Star Ultra gives you the greatness of the SNES version in its entirety, with an extra couple of adventures to take on.
Quick question, do GameStop gift cards have a "service fee" (loses X% value after x number of months)?
I've never encountered anything like that from Gamestop. But then again, I've never held on to a gift card long enough to test that.

Maybe after a year? Should be in the fine print on the back of the card?
I had a $25 GC in my wallet for about 6 months and it was still worth that when I used it on GoW3.

yeah, taken from gaf:

It's kinda weird how dated 2005 seems in retrospect. Elijah Wood, Pimp My Ride, The Killers, the ipod classic inspired xbox, neon green everywhere...although none of this was cool at the time, because every second of this video was clearly voted on by a group of market researchers/PR people. this really is one of the worst things I've ever seen on TV. 20 minutes of chicks screaming and people getting paid to try and act interested in the system.

YEAH DAWG WORLD'S FIRST PERFECT DARK ZERO DEATHMATCH DAWG!!!

Then they basically don't show the game at all

I think that and the $400 price made me cancel my 360 pre-order. Then I got the hype bug days before the launch and waited for one in the cold like a peasant

I just watched the part where she put it on the pedestal and turned it on magically.

Wow.
I've never seen this before.

that was the worst. I remember watching that when it premiered. Shameful, shameful shit.

That MTV special was atrocious, as was most of the 360 launch lineup. If I would've got that shit day one, I would've been stuck playing Perfect Dark Zero.

Now why would y'all wanna go and dredge up embarrassing shit like that?

The sad part is that it was only five years ago.

I still have the video that came on my 20 GB 360 HDD, the one all about the making of the 360 and what they were hoping to achieve.

It's great for laughs. I'm still waiting for my community DIY DLC bullshit they were spouting.
oh god.
DON'T EVEN SAY THAT!

:'(
I bought that shit at Walmart a week after getting my 360. "$40 for the LE, it's probably a decent game, and I'm bored." Mistake. Dumped that shit to GS two weeks later for $28 credit.
Wasnt condemned a launch game
I hate that game. fucking game put my 360 in the e74 death throes and gypped me out of 'cheeses. :bomb:

Dreamcast nostalgia is almost as bad as N64 nostalgia for online forum people. I couldn't care less about both systems, but people online seem to have such strange nostalgia that is die hard beyond belief.

Bring on Jet Set Radio FITNESS for natal! Maybe a PS3 version that uses the move to spray paint! Now thats exciting!

No, subpar suggests that something has at least a few redeeming qualities. The 360's launch lineup was probably the worst one for any system ever. I think the best game was Quake IV.

Oh, that's right. I keep thinking that Condemned came out in Spring of '06, because that's when the PC version hit. Condemned was definitely better than Quake IV. But it still wasn't that great... creepy, though.

I know how much DOA4 you've played.

launch window ftw

I picked up Kameo, PDZ, COD2, and Condemned at launch. Of those, COD2 was the best, but after the "holy shit" factor of COD wore off and I felt how repetitive it was, I gave up. Don't think I finished any of them. Most of my time was spent with Hexic and Geometry Wars until DOA4 came out. The first few years of my relationship with the 360 was rocky...many buys/resells. but I'm stuck to the thing until next gen thanks to netflix, cave shmups, halo, xbla games, replaying ninja gaiden black, and whatever good shit that 3rd parties put out.

And I would have never learned how to draw penises, either.

Geometry Wars was the best 360 launch title.

PGR3 wasn't bad either, if you like that kind of thing. And CoD2 was great. So was Condemned. Quake 4, Amped 3, and Kameo were okay. They're surely worth buying now that they're like $5.

Otherwise? Trash. Garbage.
