I had the best glitch ever happen in Metro 2033.

I hit a dude in the head with a throwing knife, and he went down hard. Problem is the gas mask he was wearing didn't go down. It floated in the air where it was. Along with the throwing knife, blade first, exactly where it hit him in the head. It took me a second to realize what was going on, and then I about pissed myself. It was awesome.

my phat ps3 came back to life

to make a long story short
i took it to a new guy yesterday, he fixed the power issue (wouldn't turn on after i took it to the other place) and though it didn't have ylod, it wouldn't output video or sound no matter how much he tried (resolder, reflow, etc)

i left it on at home for hours on end, hoping to break it in or something
came home and found it off, strange

turn it on now, and it shows on on my TV!!!!!!

system is still fucked though, weird little graphical glitches like icons being distorted and the video output seems to freeze after a few minutes though i can still move the controller and hear the clicks and all that as if it's ok

shit, can i deactivate?
can i install new FW?
will i be able to transfer my fucking locked saves?

i'm staying up all night to find out
 
Wasn't "JSR" actually Jet Grind Radio on dreamcast though? I know the Xbox version was Jet Set Radio future, but I almost thought it was JGR on DC.

So what's everyone "buy" schedule in may? So many games coming out. For me, I think I am going to get Super Mario Galaxy 2 (If I ever get around to beating the first one), Red Dead 2 (I need to hear/see more info first to make sure it's a must buy), Alan Wake (Going to have to be very short or shitty for me not to get this. It looks amazing, and I love Remedy, they made Max Payne an amazing series), and to be honest I think that might be it. All the others I can wait for some used priced drops around CAG's marketplace.
 
Also am thinking of picking up conviction this week. Been wanting it for awhile, but was turned off with how short it is. Almost everyone who has it says it's amazing, so unless they are justifying their purchases, it's a really good game.

Anyone able to push me over the fence on it, either side?

When was the last time any of you played condemned? I don't think it's aged well. I think I played through in late 2009. Average at best. People bitch about next-gen games being all browns and greys, but all Condemned had was dark. Finished it, but didn't really like it. Definitely didn't enjoy it. And was absolutely pissed when it gypped me out of those 2 or3 achievements.

I also concur with your buying schedule for May. My next purchase (and seemingly last for a few months) is SSFIV on Tuesday.
 
I don't hate the Wii, it's just that Wii is more of a family counsil then an actually single-person counsil. The only game I played by myself on there was paper mario.
