That's weird, no idea why it would say no artbook like it's a separate item, as long as it's actually the LE then it's guaranteed that there's a book since it's the case...wonder why they word it like that

Have any of you gone to the Distant Worlds Final Fantasy Concert? If so, how was it? It's coming down to Miami and I'm really interested in going.

Doesn't mean it's not good though.

It's a shame the combat in 4 was as clunky as it was, because the game actually did some real cool shit. I still had a good time with 1-4. Really tried with Homecoming, but just couldn't get into it. Might have been just as much as it was the game, who knows.

It's pretty awesome, depending on the songs they play. It was also pretty expensive when it was here.

Also, time to play Silent Hill 2 because all this haterade being gulped makes me want to play it again.

I didn't get to make it last time it was kinda close to me sadly but I've heard it's amazing, If it came closer to where I live I would go in a heartbeat but it looks like I'm stuck going to the Zelda one for a second time instead :p

It's good, but not amazing.

It's cute how people act like they knew all the symbolism and junk the first time they played it and figured it out all by themselves when they really just read about it on gamefaqs.

Also Homecoming was good and Downpour was even better.

Will do! The tickets don't seem that expensive. I think the cheapest ones left are like... $55? Though that $150 package seems awesome. I would love to meet Nobuo Uematsu.

The biggest problem I have with Distant Worlds is that they concerts are too few and far between. And I am pretty sure that is so both Nobuo Uematsu and Susan Calloway (Susan Calloway #1 fan) can be there. 

When I went, they played pretty much all the flagship songs like One-Winged Angel, Suteki Da Ne, Celes Theme and the Chocobo Medley, but they also played stuff like Melodies of Life, To Zanarkand, Dancing Mad, Sunleth Waterscape and a pretty rad version of Otherworld.

Man, I have to dig out my Dear Friends program when I get home. I should have that shit on display. My roommate's playing FF6 at home now and I'm reminded every day how great the themes in that game are.

That sounds so freaking awesome. I love all those songs. It also wouldn't be a FF concert without One-Winged Angel! Did they play Vamo' Alla Flamenco by chance? I love that song.

I guess I should go then. Man, that week is going to be so damn hectic.

They did play Vamo' Alla Flamenco. They were also a few songs from FFXI and FFXII that were cool, though I never played the games so I couldn't name them.

As for game concerts...I dunno if I would ever feel the need to go to one.  In fact, as much as I love to get soundtracks as free bonuses, I rarely listen to them because I feel like I hear them in-game enough as it is.  

I think I would fall asleep at a concert of game music.  (-_-)  ZzzZZzzz

Every game concert I've gone to (FF Distant Worlds, LoZ Symphony of the Goddes and VGL x3) has been awesome. I think anybody who plays video games should at least go to once just to check it out. It's not about the music as much as it is about the celebration of video game music. It's more of a convention, really. However, I listen to a lot of video game music because most other music today is hot garbage, with the exception of metal and thrashcore. 

 
I wore a zelda shirt at half price books some older gentleman stopped me and asked If I've ever been to a concert I said nope. Its a shame he didn't take me out on a date to a zelda concert

Glad I didn't. I don't support former Capcom employees ripping off their games. First there was that one Resident Evil wanna be from that one guy and now this. Capcom should sue.
