GGT 284 celebrates the announcement of Project Diva f for the Vita

Nobody I knew got a PS4 yet, and only one person I know for sure is getting the Xbox One next week, all of my actual friends are waiting on getting the systems so I won't have people to talk to about next gen games :( I'll just have to stick to the internet!

I passed by a GS a bit ago and they had like three PS4's leftover. Interesting. In regards to the bricking - totally blows. Way to kill the "next gen."

With that said, I'm still enjoying my games from the last gen, the PS3! Can't believe we can say that now....

Have any of you played AC: Black Flag yet? I'm thinking of getting it once I get my graphics card.

So weird that I'm still playing on the 360 now, it's like still current gen since it's predecessor is not out....but at the same time it's already last gen compared to the other systems, hmmmmmm lol

Yeah that was funny seeing him try to get the controller haha, you'll see this again next week, systems have been getting smashed on launch day forever now :p

 
I play that. With Rai Rai, Indignate, and Zeki every once in a while.

I think we even had Frost in our group at one point. It's a fun game. I still like Isaac.

Finished R&C: Into the Nexus. It was a Ratchet and Clank game.

They cancelled them because of all the new X books that are coming.

Venom is just so they can have a new Spidey series.

I really enjoyed Uncharted 2, but I didn't really care for 3. 2 just had a flow to it, whereas 3 felt inconsistent and less polished in a gameplay sense overall to me. I couldn't really give a detailed explanation as to why it seemed like this to me, but something definitely felt off for whatever reason.

And the pirate shipyard part was awful. I remember uraizen and I agreeing about that at the time.

There's been a few rumors that there is going to be a spider-team book at some time in the near future. I wouldn't be surprised if something like that happened.

I really need to pick it up on there sometime, played through it a bunch with my friend on 360 locally and loved the co-op, IA was okay with the online but not nearly as good as 2017, nice to see 2025 have online as well!

 
I have spent so much money on flowers that I should be partial owner of FTD. Totally not worth it in the end. Just buy yourself something and get her food.

Man, DmC is actually almost fun whenever you play as original Dante.

Got a good chunk of time to play around more with my Wii U yesterday.  Played the demos for Wonderful 101 and Zombie U.  Will definitely get Wonderful 101 at somepoint as it's pretty clever and a lot of fun.  Doubt I'll get Zombie U as I'm just not big into survival horror games with clunky controls.  Definitely some neat uses of the gamepad though.

I wish they had more demos up on the eshop as there's some other stuff I'd like to try like Pikmin 3 (never played the first 2).

Otherwise, just played some more NSMBU.  I'm through the first 5 worlds with all secret exits found and caught Nabbit in each.  Getting a decent amount of the star coins, but not making an effort to find them all now.  Game is a blast, but definitely a bit harder than the prior NSMB games.  Apparently NSLU is even tougher...

A couple random things I've liked about the gamepad--makes it easy to switch to a TV with lower resolution.  I've got it hooked up to my old 720p TV at my fiances now, and it was snap to just go into the settings on the gamepad, even with no picture on the TV due to it being set to 1080p.  With the PS3 I have to hold down the button to reset it when I take it back and forth.  360 had it best though since it just auto adjusted.

It's also nice having the headphone jack on it so I can just mute the TV and use that if the fiancee is trying to work or sleep in the room (TV is in her bedroom now).  Will be moot when we move into our new place in a few weeks since we'll have a separate media room. But handy for now. :D

Since you seem to like exploration in games, I think you might like the Pikmin games. It's basically a series about exploring a little more each day to find things while figuring out ways around the environment with your Pikmin squad.

If you could possibly find a cheap used copy of Pikmin 1 for the Wii, that might be a good way to test the waters. The Wii version of that game makes great use of pointer since the game controls much like an RTS (although the structure of the game is very different from those), and an RTS controls better when you can actually point at things with a mouse, or in this case Wii controller.
