Ugh, GT.com gave the BEST GRAPHIC GAME of E3 to Kirby... what in the world are they thinking? It's not the most innovative art style, it's the BEST GRAPHICS. So many idiots in the media.

"Best graphics" doesn't have to mean most realistic on a technical level. It can mean the graphics that add to the game the most.
Turns out just because its 4am doenst mean you wont get modded
Indeed ;)
It's really not that exciting...though I don't see why the mod couldnt have just edited the post instead of bombing the thread
Actually, I probably should have banned you. Like I said in the PM, had it been any other mod you probably would have been. So don't push it ;).

To others, he basically ruined the thread by changing the title and first post to something offensive enough to require deletion. Yes, perhaps it would have been better to modify his first post and title to make it say that he recognized he was a complete tool, or something to that effect. It was easier just to get rid of it since the last several posts were pretty much OTT garbage stuff anyway. I figured I'd let someone else restart it and that's what happened.

How can you hate Kirby? Especially Kirby made out of string!? Your heart, it is a dark void of emptiness.

a void full of bears.

What is the best replacement X360 headset? I snapped mine in half accidentally when moving a couple weeks ago. Never realized how cheap the plastic is in them.

Same.

Got paired up to shadow the cutest girl here. :) Good thing she knows her stuff too as I am learning a lot from her.

She has the longest toes (not nails) I've ever seen.

Whattt, I love Kirby. My favorite Nintendo character and can't wait for Thread.

When you see a TV show that starts with, "this show contains Graphic violence". It does not mean it adds a lot to the show or is really creative violence. It means it is very real or is depicted in a realistic way.

Creative and unique visuals is one thing, but saying something is the BEST GRAPHICS is another. Just a pet peeve of mine. And you can still be cartoony and have good graphics, like most Pixar films but you are judging on the fidelity and realism of the content not the creative concept.

That is a completely different definition of the word graphic. In video games (and other computer-generated media), "graphics" means visuals. You wouldn't say a graphic artist or designer's job was to make only the most realistic drawings possible.

I do think game awards should include 2 categories for graphics though: most realistic graphics and best graphical style.

Agreed, but I'd term the two categories something like:

Best Art Design

Best Technical Achievement in Graphics

Reason being the best technical achievement doesn't have to be realistic, it could still be stylized, cartoony etc. but look amazing in HD etc.

Hell yeah, time to play some Uncharted 2!!!

*You must update to 1.08 to play this game*

8 updates.

this is gonna take like 78 hours even though it's a couple hundred MB. stupid sony servers

I think its hysterical that a Monster Hunter game comes to Wii, and now ReRo wants to sell it. I guess he's not interested because this one is popular?

He's not interested in it because they announced MH3P for Japan (which is actually an entirely different game; at least that's what Capcom says). He thinks 1 analog nub over 2 analog sticks is better for some reason.
Why?

S&P2, Metroid, Kirby and DKC all coming out soon.
Im sure they are all good games but I've gotten to the point where I have had a hard time even caring about nintendo games anymore. I think from now on I have decided to only buy Nintendo handhelds since I can get just as good games on their portables.

On top of that I've played every single game I wanted to on the system and don't see anything down the road that will make me keep mine.

If anyone can give better reasons to keep it, I'll strongly consider it, but I'm still leaning to selling right now.

In some ways, I know this is being cynical on your part, but essentially kinda true.

 I wish it was that easy
Man, was I really the only person here who picked up Sin & Punishment?
Mine is coming in the mail.
Rolento doesn't value artsy games like Kirby anymore?
Did I say that? Epic Yarn looks friggin epic honestly, but I need a bit more than that. I see more stuff I want on the 3DS than I do on the Wii already.

Money.

Been playing Ocarina of Time. I really hate the camera, especially when fighting and you gotta lock-on to something. Why do people love this game so much? It just makes me wish I was playing Windwaker instead.
I am sooooooo in love with Crackdown 2. The Agency Supercar is perfect.
Yeah, I can't wait for C2.

I also wish there was a deal on Transformers. Really wanna play that before the summer is over.

Multiplayer and Horde in Transformers is surprisingly good. It reminds me alot of Unreal Championship 2 for OG Xbox.

Starscream's voice sounds off though. (mostly because the original VA is dead)

It's all nostalgia. I can still play through it and like it, but I know that if I played it for the first time today I'd be bored and think the game was nothing great.

You really have to consider what it did for 3d action games, adding z-targeting really changed how all 3rd person action games were designed up until the RE4/Gears type of design came along.

The only criticism I can give it is that some of the dungeons are poorly designed, but as a first attempt at bringing zelda to 3d, it's beyond what anyone could hope for at the time.

So, I either need a wireless adapter for the 360 or need to look into a complicated wired workaround. Any opinions on the wireless N adapter? I know it's suppossed to work better than the wireless in the new slim, but is it really good enough for online play? i always hated wireless for that, but maybe I'm wrong.

Wireless N adapter was wonky for me at first on my 360. I would get disconnected from Live every few minutes.
Has since stopped, and have played online no problems with it.

Wireless is more than fast enough for gaming.

I disagree. I beat it for the first time last week and it's easily one of the best games I've ever played. I can see how the camera is a slight problem nowadays, but otherwise the game seemed to hold up really well in my opinion. The main reason I loved the game though was the overall atmosphere created through a combination of the music, settings, art direction, and characters. I know that's not what everyone is looking for in a game though, so I can see why it wouldn't be amazing for everyone. My 2 favorite games ever though are the Team Ico games, so it's probably just because I love those types of games.

Started playing Infinite Space. A game made up almost entirely of menus which is too slow, and forces you to use the touchscreen for no reason at all. I'm going crosseyed playing it; I think the 3DS might give me serious problems.

The N adapter is pretty decent, I can definitely play games online. However, don't expect the range for the 5ghz N band to not suck total balls.

There's something wrong with you. Windwaker will always be substandard when compared to OoT. How can you not like the fact that there's A VARIED OVERWORLD TO EXPLORE. And there's no monotonous sailing. And there's 8-9 well done dungeons, as opposed to 2 (well, 4-5, I guess). And the battle camera in that game should have been the standard for any game with combat remotely simliar. Having a camera like that would have fixed KH on the PS2 and made it so I didn't loathe the series.
is Killzone 2's campaign worth a play through if I find it for below $20?
No. By the last two missions/stages, it gets really tiresome. The best thing about KZ2 was the graphics and the MP.
