GGT 30 comes free with PSN+
Finally beat Ocarina of Time last night after spending a bunch of time going around and collecting the last few heart containers. Overall, it was a pretty solid Zelda title, but I never felt like there was ever much of a challenge to it. I can understand if I played it with no guide it would have been a bit more difficult, but still, I thought it was a lot easier than Windwaker, especially the dungeon puzzles.

Gonna start Killer 7 today and see if I can handle it.
Man, I'd love to have you point of view.

For me, WW was the easiest Zelda game since the series went 3D -- the only challenging dungeons were the last 2 and I still remember only 5 dungeons overall... and considering the first is always a joke and then the next two basically ramp up in difficulty, I was so excited when I hit dungeons 4/5 in WW... then I was at the end game and they forced that fishing for the triforce crap on me and the game was over. :\
Any big DS games being released this summer? (besides Dragon Quest)
Nope, or in the forseeable future, either. :(

I'm hanging out a mile down the road from where singularity was developed, lol

Think I'll get DQ9 today. I love those dragon quest games. Still going on AP. The boss battles are slightly frustrating but they just take some thinking to figure out.

I really don't get all the criticisms for this game. Even the shooting isn't bad if you just burst fire the rifles. The controls do have some problems and it needed more bug testing but I think the story and the skills and things are interesting enough to reccomend it.

ahaha, just spent an hour and a half furiously mashing X to get through all the slow dialogue in Persona 4, only to get killed as soon as I enter Rise's dungeon.

okay persona series, i've given you a million chances, but I think it's over. A fast forward button would help greatly.

I should be playing DDS2, FFXII international, or demon's souls instead.

I'm getting DQIX today, but I really don't know if I'll be playing it. P3P has seriously got it's hooks in me, and I can't stop playing. Well.....except when my hands get cramped from holding the PSP. Does this happen to anyone else? Sometime I feel like I'm only playing for an hour and my wrists start to hurt.

Btw, voting has started again! I've already move up a couple spots from yesterday :D http://casting.thetester.com/Cheska19

I still need to start Persona 3 Portable.

As for DQIX, I'm not a huge DQ fan, but I'll get it one day.

I played more Tom Clancy's HAWX (PS3) and Death Smiles today.

Yeah, thats what happens to me if I play my old PSP for too long. For some odd reason I can play the Go for longer periods of time.

You guys are killing me with all this Go talk, and now I'm seriously debating getting one today. I really wish there was a way of putting games I have on UMD on the Go, then that would make it an instant buy for me. But I don't really want to buy these games twice.

Frisky: Ok, Now I'm with you on Matt Kessler. I'm watching the DQ Quick Look and I just can't get used to the guy.
You guys are killing me with all this Go talk, and now I'm seriously debating getting one today.
As much as I like it I wouldn't recommend getting one now.

Don't. It is an abject piece of shit from a hardware perspective, and there are pretty much no good games. Let's be real here.

Sony needs to have weekly sales on PSP games, like Steam does for PC games.

Well like I said, if it was possible to play my UMD games on it, I'd say it would be worth it. Probably not at the full price, but still, it is an awful lot smaller and it would be much more convenient. But alas, I bought my MGS psp like a month ago, so I'll just stick with that for now.

What is the best way to enjoy dead rising? I've tried to get into it a couple of times, but each time I just get frustrated and give up.

Only if they are decent sales. They have done a few in the past that have been pretty bleh.
and there are pretty much no good games. Let's be real here.
The PSP never really had alot of good games. It's just alot more noticeable with the PSP Go.

Kiss:You just got a PSP? Then I definitely say avoid getting a Go for a while. Especially with the rumors of yet another PSP coming out.

It has the best screen out of all the PSPs. It's quite small and truly portable. Bluetooth support allows you to use a PS3 controller (and you can play it on a TV like a console, using a PS3 controller). Zero UMD loading noise is nice too.

Not care and play however you want to play it, whether people die or not.

Kill Zombies.
No, not sarcasm, I'm being dead serious. Don't give a damn about the story or missions, just kill zombies.

The best portable ever made is one that won't play most of its own games? Please. Hop off Jack Tretton's dick before you come back here.

Agreed. The Go has a nice ergonomic/asthetic design, but lack of UMD support is a huge dealbreaker. I refuse to re-buy all my disc-based games just to play them on that stupid thing.

Unlike a certain fanboi, I simply won't support Sony's lack of "big picture" when dealing with their own proprietary media formats. They made their bed in UMD, so they should lie in it...at least until PSP2 which I'm guessing is going to be download-only or something very similar.

No. You're the worst. Worst.

Sony is just lucky that japan likes monster hunter. It has nothing to do with the hardware. Everything else about the PSP has been a huge failure.

I'll get a Go when it's able to play my ripped UMD games.
Already get faster loading and no UMD noise with my current PSP, it's just the screen that sucks.

Shame since I love the Go design.

yep, love the concave spots for the buttons, the hand-numbing position it needs to be held in, the smaller screen, and lets not forget the real reason why it's the object of ridicule praise by pretty much everyone: full priced digitally distributed titles that only represent part of the PSP's catalog!
I'd like to punch whoever thought it was a good idea to let you talk to party members while in a dungeon in Persona 3.
Why is that?
I'd like to punch whoever thought it was a good idea to let you talk to party members while in a dungeon in Persona 3.
It actually had a purpose in the ps2 versions. You would talk to them to change their equipment or get them to heal the party. now all of that can be done from the menu screen.

I just realized that any pictures you take in DOA: Paradise are saved to your pictures folder on the PSP... I'm actually shocked that it does that.

I finally started P3P tonight. I figure I'll playthrough as the female first since that will probably be the biggest change in the game. I'll tackle the new game+ as the male.

Edit: I hate you Spellcheck....

While playing P3P I had Yukari refer to me as "him". I had to chuckle at that little mistake. I wonder how many more times thatt will happen in the game. And I was doing a little reading and found that they changed the person for the Hermit persona... I'm a little bummed about that. It could have been pretty interesting to see those event unfold from a different angle.

Just bad mouth Sony and he'll zoom in from Sony land.

I've made it to the third day of Dead Rising. I think I've had my fill of it. Its not bad safe for the terrible escort AI, cheap bosses, and poor shooting mechanic.

The way I played Dead Rising was...

First play...Focused on leveling up, having fun, killing as many bosses as I could.

Second...did a few missions, but didn't make it to the supermarket fast enough for that girl, focused on saving people after that.

Third...Only did story missions. Was able to knockout the extra day and finish the real last boss.

I don't remember exactly, but I did one main playthrough, which involved grinding on the trip back through the courtyard and dying against the inmates until I was around level 15. I then did it again and whupped their asses. I did the full playthrough on that, followed by a playthrough which involved getting the 53k+ kills... but I never went back after that. I got distracted.. :{

Excited about the sequel for DR at all that is now Canadian developed and Capcom seems to be shy about promoting?

I think I just may get Case Zero and that's it.
I'll get the full game for co-op down the line.

Because they get in the way. I went to stab a shadow and Yukari walks right in front of me so I talk to her and have to run away when the shadow notices the people behind him.

I wish I was able to find competition in Magic. I'm the best, man. Seriously though, it gets tedious winning. I want some new DLC to come out already.

I wish the multi-color decks didn't have so much fucking mana.

On the last Chapter of Red Dead finally. Definitely my favorite game so far this year.

I should probably research what the hell I'm supposed to do for high scoring in deathsmiles, too.

Damn, this fall, like every fall, is going to be crazy. What's everyone getting?

So far I'm picking up Halo, New Vegas, Fable III, DKC, Kirby, Dead Rising. Oh and if it's out, the 3DS :D

My maybe list is...Epic Mickey, CoD, Vanquish, DJ Hero 2, Rock Band 3 (Yes, maybe. Me and all my friends are so burnt out on rhythm games. Last time we played Rock Band 2, we got bored after 3 songs and stopped).

Next year is looking damn good too with Mortal Kombat, Rage and Zelda

I haven't even thought about that yet.

DKC, Kirby and Vanquish for sure. Probably Halo Reach too, but I have to finish the damn campaign of H3 first.

I'm lukewarm on Fable 3 and FO: NV, and Dead Rising 2.
