We all definitely need to play Smash again though, that was a real lot of fun, and we had people leaving and joining so it was almost always full :D

I don't feel confident 1v1 at all. In groups I can set up smashes easily and tackle through crowds with my new forward B. Get it to 1v1 and I feel heavily restricted. I'm almost always the one that makes the approach and that basically boils down to using my forward air or my neutral air and hoping it doesn't get spot dodged (and that if it gets blocked I at least push the enemy away too far to punish me). Characters like Villager and Samus get plenty of time to prepare while I lumber around, too.

EDIT: Naturally, I feel better going up against someone like 'Dorf who has a lot of the same problems. Not having a projectile or much in the way of abusable super armour kinda sucks.
Yeah that definitely makes sense, I think it's because when I've been playing online with some of my other friends they leave bots off and it makes it 1v1 sometimes, so I'm used to planning my attacks in that situation but then when I start to charger or dash, I get jumped/hit by somebody else and everything falls apart haha. I was getting back into the hang of it a little later again I felt, just have to adjust like Action said. Don't get me wrong, I was still having a blast and love playing me some Smash Brothers!

I wanted to play Smash today, but I instead played a lot of Dead Island Riptide with my little brother. Man, that game can be surprisingly fun! It actually is so good that I'm going to attempt to pick up Borderlands The Pre-Sequel this weekend so he and I can co-op that next! Here's hoping he actually likes it!
How does that compare to the first Dead Island? Much better, more of the same? It was alright but dragged on and didn't change up enough.

But do air dodges still trigger the attack? 'Cause that makes it near useless for recovery. Ike's side special just feels really bad in comparison to the space animals', in air and on ground.

Also, lots of characters have had side specials that were at least useful in recovery. I've heard Jiggly's pound no longer moves her in the air, but it's not like she really needed it. Wonder if Marth/Cina's still helps with lateral recovery?
Mario/Dr Mario's cape recovery was nerfed as well. I think just a lot of the side recoveries were nerfed.

Spent 40 minutes last night trying to get in on the MS store X1 bundle deal but gave up. Woke up this morning and had no issues.

Happy Thanksgiving everyone and to crotch, Happy Thursday. Hope you guys have a great day and spend time with people you love.

I have only been part of the GGT since April but I'm very thankful for the friends I have made. :grouphug:

Joel, are you reading Spider-Verse?  I know you're a big Ben Reilly fan so I'm curious your thoughts as to his inclusion.

I like it ten times better than the original. I can't tell if that's because of the new character or not, though. The new guy is amazing because he has lightning infused punches.

YES! I love the arc and Ben Reilly being around makes me giddy like a school girl for every issue. I loved reading Scarlet Spiders, too! I must admit though, between this and Axis: Carnage it's like Marvel found a notebook with story ideas from when I was a kid and decided to make them really happen. And I'm not joking either, I mainly collected What If? as a kid and wanted a book where all of the Spideys teamed up to fight someone, but the only thing I could think of to fight them was a team of six Sinister Sixes from the multiverse.

Late Happy Thanksgiving, guys!

I just got back from Black Friday shopping. I bought Infamous Second Son and now I'm going to buy some stuff on PSN.
