Brawl is having all sorts of network issues. Got in a decent match or two with daroga, Roufuss, and rockepidemic, then it all went to hell. Can't even get back in to add friend codes. I'll try again later, though I need to get back to the single player.

I'll be curious what kind of connection numbers this puts up. I wouldn't be shocked to see its first day equal the first week of GH3.
I was interested to see how the network would hold up. The Wii online has been a joke, and now they have an UBER popular game with online play. Not surprising the network is balking at peak hours.

The boss at the end of mission 9 in DMC4 is kicking my butt big time. I can't beat him. :whistle2:( He keeps
sucking my life, and ends up with full energy over and over again.

When he gets ready to do that move just buster over to him, and slash him until he stops. It doesn't take that many hits to knock him out of it.
Good Games Possum, and whoever we were playing with.
You kicked my ass! I gave up on that last one and was just having fun :)

Sometimes I just can't control the game at all.

ive got a busted wireless generic gamecube controller.

That guy who was olimar was getting final smashes all the time.

+1 cookie for you. I've never been good at timing and positioning in smash.

yeah, how the hell do you dodge olimar's final smash? Seems like the last part launches everyone automatically.

Played a ton of Rock Band at a friend's house. Drums are tough, but it's better than I thought. Had a good time.

I want to play brawlz with youz guys sometime.

Olimar's Final Smash ain't that hard to avoid, kinda. The first part, where all the animals eat you, and shit, THAT'S unavoidable. When the rocket comes down, if you are in its general vicinity, then you get hit by it. Otherwise, you're fine.

So who is using a wired connection for smash?

I think it could help solve alot of lag if I bought that 15 dollar thing off amazon.

The latest OTT is gaming related so I'll be merging it with this thread shortly.

Also I had a horrible Halo match yesterday. We ended up winning but dude on my team started screaming about how badly I and one other dude sucked and when I asked who he was talking about he just launched a stream of profanity for the remainder of the match. First complaint I've filed. Halo 3 is serious business I guess.

I'm sure we would get along swimmingly.

Put a bit more time into Apollo Justice and Subspace Emissary last night. Got stuck for the second time in AJ, must be missing something when examining the crime scene in Case 3.

You better be ready for the giant bitchfest that is gonna happen.

Why can't you seriously just leave the two seperate.

Its just gonna cause drama and headaches.

I also don't know why Nintendo thought that Stealth Missions in a portable zelda were a good thing.

He's kidding, y'all.

;)

Anyways, Chains of Olympus = great, not too happy it cost 40 bucks, but atleast I got it at a discount. ^__^ I think I might be gettin' a Wii today and have some shit go up on my TL such as: Contra 4, Geometry Wars Galaxies, Advance Wars: DoR, Ouendan 2, and my gold triforce DSLite. I'll let y'all know when its up!

Anyways, buy somethin' from me! http://www.cheapassgamer.com/forums/showthread.php?t=138901

I liked Chains of Olyumpus. It became way to easy once you got the gauntlet of zeus or whatever.

Just spam that ground pound attack.

I just wish it was longer then 4 hours.
Becarefull he could leave you negative feedback.

Nah, he has an active Paypal account that wasn't locked for some reason.:bomb:

Yo.

Drove through a blizzard to get to Cincinnati on Saturday. That was a blast. As a result, the only gaming I did this weekend was 10 minutes of Rock Band last night.

Mass Effect beckons.

If he does grab you Devil Trigger and he'll let go immediately. Also do as Rei said. Just jump and hit him, only takes a few hits.
I sold my Wii a year ago. I have 0 desire to pick one back up.

Brawl + Galaxy are simply not enough.
+ No More Heroes.

That is enough.

All I played on my Wii was Bowling for like 6 months. Paper Mario was enough for me to sell it off. Maybe sometime during the first price cut for it in 2009 I'll pick one up.

I'll probably still have Oblivion in my backlog at that point.
I sold my Wii a year ago. I have 0 desire to pick one back up.

I pretty much gave mine away to my girlfriend's brother and his family who were more interested in it (will probably get a small amount of cash if the decide to keep it, or sell it on craig's list of they decide they don't like it enough to keep either).

I loved Galaxy, Metroid and Zelda, but I dont' really care about Brawl, Mario Kart etc., don't like odd ball, stylized games nor beat'em ups so NMH is out, didn't like any of the mini-game stuff (not even Wii Sports), hated the lack of decent online, and hated the lack of 720p graphics and DD5.1 sound.

Once I picked up a 360 in October, I wasn't touching the Wii at all nor looking forward to playing it at all. So it was time to ditch it. More games on the 360 that interest me than I'll ever get around to playing anyway, since I'm so swamped with work and dissertation writing and social obligations.

Just wasn't the console for me, it finally kicked me of any remaining loyalty I had for Nintendo. I love Mario, Metroid and Zelda, but I'm no longer buying a console just to play those franchises. Should have learned my lesson after the N64 and GC--but then again at least those had Rare games (N64) and decent third party support (GC with RE4, eternal darkness, and lots of solid ports of multiplatform games like PoP, Beyond Good & Evil etc.).
People that don't like brawl simply don't like life.
I liked Melee, but not enough to keep a console around for just it's sequel. And that was the only announced 2008 game I was remotely interested in.

Not a big fighting game in general, and Smash Bros is really only fun playing with local friends, and I don't have many local gaming friends these days. And the ones I do have pretty much only play FPS.
Brawl has online.
Which is why I said it's pretty much only fun with local friends (i.e. playing in the same room, drinking and talking trash is what makes it fun).

It's not the type of game I play competitively. Just a silly party game to me, so not something I have a lot of interest in playing online. Especially without voice chat.
Brawl has online.

Which should be fixed....errrrrr...sometime soon.
Lag, no voice chat, 16 digit codes to type in...

I'll pass on that online.

Smash Bros. is an acquired taste I think. It took me a long while before it "stuck" for me. It's a blast right now playing the guys living in the dorm or when they come over our apartment. Not entirely sure how much play time it'll get after May, but we'll see.

You can't beat Agnus in Human mode? Holy shit dude....

Anyway he'll do two things to indicate that he is about to do that.

#1: He says your power will be mine, as soon as you hear him say that get to him and either DT next to him to break him out of it, or do aerial slashes to knock him out of it.

#2: He'll say time to die, and once he says this do the same as above to knock him out of it. As long as you do this he wont have a chance to get his life back. Be more aggressive thar.

Exactly. I agree with that. I had a blast with the N64 one withen in the dorms, and a good time with the GC one when I still had some friends around who were into that type of game.

Just doesn't do much for me in single player, and like I said the multiplayer appeal is it's randomness which is great with friends, beers and trash talking. Just wouldn't carry over to online play, especially without voice chat.

Lag is only bad at peak times.

I had matches with possum last night with no lag.

Im sorry I like Life.
Damn you tfn. Held back so long but can't resist ouendan 2 for $25. :bouncy:
