GGT #47 Hates Halo
Hmm... well I haven't seen a typo yet, so good job!

And I like the game a lot right now, though less than before I knew you had something to do with it. EULA BEAM

EDIT: Wait a minute! Genesis's house... shouldn't that be Genesis' house? Hrmm............ the Grammar Gods demand it. (Yes, I'm just trying to find petty things to complain about.)
"Genesis's" is singular possessive, "Genesis'" is plural possessive. So unless there is more than one Genesis in the house, then it's fine. =)

The Grammar God frowns upon thee.
Thou hast lost an eighth!

That reminds me. Ultima 4, what a great game. I don't think there are any other moralistic RPGs out there, it's sad how it's still innovative to this day.

Touchè.

The game is getting better at an alarming pace. It's like "hey, you remember what the game was like an hour ago. Yeah, we had you tricked, dint we? Prolly wasn't a good way to get people hooked, tho. Oh well."

I've got my PSP hooked up to my receiver for this game, so it all sounds really, really good. I would hook it up to my new speakers, but I won't have those for a couple weeks still.

Yeah, whatever happened to the old Ultima series? The last one was disappointing, and ever since Ultima Online the franchise has sorta dwindled away.

I have beaten Final Fantasy IX. I am done with all things Final Fantasy for a few months at least.
GTA IV is sooooooo good.

I can't wait to get my new headset so I can play online again.

The Duffelbag and lockbox are awesome as well.

So is the license plate and keychain, and artbook, and soundtrack.
Oh! It sounds like you really like it Inu!
They wont be awesome, just playable. Like all other GTA games.
Last time I listen to hype.

Multiplayer is garbage also.

Crackdown has better Multiplayer.
Huh?
I think this is how GTA will go.

1. Everyone is Uber Hyped for GTA4 from the reviews and media.
2. Everyone buys GTA4 and then plays it.
3. Everyone talks about how much they like it.
4. Suddenly out of nowhere people talk about how bad of a game it is, and you are stupid for liking it, and some other game is the shit.
5.???
6. PROFIT.
You predicted your own stupidity! Amazing!

Edit: ^^ Post of the year.
GTAIV gets stale, its the same kind of stupid missions over and over again. Go here, kill guys, run from cops.
Aren't KZ2 and FC2 the same thing, minus run from cops?

lulz @ chainsaw
Aren't KZ2 and FC2 the same thing, minus run from cops?
He wants games with a variety of new shit all the time.

Which is why he switched from the shitty GTAIV to the vastly superior (and repetitive on an even bigger scale) Lost Odyssey.

I hate InuFaye, but you gotta love the funny stuff he says. : )
There is a difference.

One is on PS3, one is in 360.

If KUF was on PS3, I'm sure it would be the coolest game ever. [/qupte]Yeah right, the game is terrible.

No offense, TMK, but that's just how I've seen you roll... I've seen you defend the PS3 version of GTA 4 numerous times and IIRC, you don't even own the game or want to own it (as you've stated in other threads), so I don't see how you can talk about how good it runs compared to the 360 version either.
I do not own it but does that mean I actually haven't seen it. I do have friends and a life.

But to talk shit about KUF with barely playing it, while defending tons of games with similar bad rankings just because they on the PS3... that's a little too bias, even for you.
Only bad rating games I really defended now which are in my collection isTime Crisis 4. And guess what?? It DOES have a higher review average than KUF on 360.

No, I don't even give a crap even if it was on PS3. Have I ever said ONE good thing about Lair??? Nope. I want absolutely nothing to do with the game because I always disliked Factor 5. A game doesn't have to be on PS3 for me to like it. Yes I was a big PS2 fan last generation, but I absolutely hated GTAIII.

As for KUF on 360, yes it's a terrible game IMO, and I actually like KUF: Crusaders on Xbox a lot. Didn't play the sequel though.

So what, you seem to hate almost everything on PS3 and will buy the 360 versions of games even if the PS3 version is better. Sorry but you are definitely a fanboy too Roufuss. You had your 360 break on you and were willing to go out and buy a brand new 360. You complained about the PS3 having no o

And to say I only like stuff on PS3 is just plain idiotic, because I do play my 360 a lot and I play my Wii a lot too. I like all platforms.

ROFL

Yes, I hate almost everything on PS3... wow, those 8 PS3 games I have are such shit. The fact I played through all 8 of those PS3 games to completion shows just how much I hate them.

But don't worry, I'd hate my 360 too if I was playing Project Sylpheed and Fusion Frenzy 2 on it. From the looks of your gamertag, you barely play it at all since there is a ton of games with 0 or a handful of achievements, I sure as hell don't see you playing it "a lot". Looks like aside from 3 or 4 games, you don't even play it at all.

But yea, you caught me, I'm a Microsoft fanboy! Totally.

I'm pretty sure if your PS3 broke and was out of a warranty, you'd either be paying the premium to fix it or buying a new one ASAP. Hey wait, aren't you the guy with 2 or 3 PSP's?

You guys are really some touchy bitches ;)

Fuzion Frenzy 2 is not my game. My friend brought it over and wanted me to increase my gamerscore with it. Project Sylpheed I own, and yes, I actually like it a little.

And let me see, you actually bought Mr. Driller Online, which got a 2.8 at ING.

I could dig up all your posts here and hardforum to prove it. I have an excellent memory which can even remember 6th grade schedules of everyone in my grade level.

Not a singly Sony platform has broken on me, and that's one reason I support them (compared to many by some other companies.

I will admit, I do plan to buy a 40GB PS3 sometime this year (and maybe another), so I can have a PS3 in more than one room/location. ;)

You just got touchy over the PC argument. Contradicting yourself I see.

In honesty, my 360 barely gets played. The only shit I care about on it is mostly the XBLA games and a few of the big name games. Only few reasons why I am holding on to mine is GTAIV DLC, Ninja Giaden II, and Suda 51's un-announced 360 game.

But once summer starts, like right now, I have time to play all my platforms. That's why I've been playing 360 and Wii a lot more lately, along with my PS3 (since I don't have to worry about a project).

Well, I could say early on I played a lot of XBLA games on my 360, but now it's mostly disc based games. I could say the same for my PS3 for the first year (It was like 60-70% downloads I played), but now I mostly play all disc based games (but then again, I now have around 25 disc PS3 games). With my Wii, I'll be honest that I just haven't gotten into VC much. Only bought two games and haven't really played them. I dunno, as much as I loved classic games before, I just don't feel like playing them atm.

Regardless, all platforms are very important to me. I badly need my 360 since I want Tales of Vespiria, Infinite Indiscovery, Too Human, etc. I want my Wii for ToS2, Samba DeAmigo, etc. And oh course I really want FFXIII games, Tekken 6, LBP, SCE's first party games, etc. on PS3. I just love gaming. :D

I'm looking forward to Ninja Gaiden II and Too Human, but that's it... well, and Gears of War 2, but I'll likely end up replacing that when the inevitable PC version comes out. But still, playing the original game with CAGs was good fuckin' times, so there's no way I'm missing out on that.

PS3's lineup isn't looking particularly good for the rest of the year, either... the Wii has jack shit coming out. Most of the games I want are on PC, but most of those are multiplatform, which probably explains why the PS3 and 360 look so weak...

interestingly, the PS2's still lookin' strong.

Ha, I didn't get touchy over the PC argument... I have an awesome PC, I just got sick of the bullshit on it. I wouldn't play Team Fortress 2 anywhere else, and as soon as The Witcher pops up on Steam, I'm grabbing it. I have no problem supporting the PC when, imo, the PC deserves it. Stardock gets a lot of my business, so does Valve, Blizzard, and Relic.

But the facts you laid down was that you played the 360 "a lot", and your gamercard really doesn't reflect that. Zewone plays 360 a lot, as a comparision.

You seemed to have forgotten where I praised Resistance a ton (in the GGT at that!!), loved Uncharted, loved Ratchet and Clank Future, was a big fan of Ninja Gaiden Sigma, and bought Hot Shots Golf 5 the week it came out.

But if it makes you feel better that I'm a Microsoft fanboy, that's ok, because I prefer my multiplatform games on 360 and I guess that qualifies one to be a fanboy. And yea, I rebought a 360, because the Falcon's don't have NEARLY the problems the launch units do (haven't had a problem with mine yet), which was my only problem with it. Plus the fact Ninja Gaiden 2 went exclusive, and I don't feel like waiting for a shitty Gears of War 2 PC port (port for GoW was not well done, imo, bugs and design decisions).
Lies.
My best friend Josh, in real life, he's more of a 360 fan (all he has is a 360, and he is the one who had me borrow Fuzion Frenzy 2. Also, he's the one who brought Halo 3 to my place) and I'm mostly PS3. There are a bunch of multi-platform games where he buys the 360 version while I buy the PS3 one, and sometimes we do some comparing (be brings his copy over). Outside of him and a few friends from college, I don't have many other friends in real life outside of them.

Anyway, I'm looking forward to Warhawk night tonight at CAG. I'm hosting the server and about ready to put a map rotation together. The Warhawk crew and I will probably play some Mario Kart Wii afterwards, if I don't get too tired.

Well, you do say PS3 has next to no good exclusives, and I could point out more which you do not own, but I rather just end the argument. Yeah, I know I got a bit carried away because I know you like Resistance, Ratchet, etc.

However, I do think you are a tad bias and seem like a 360 fanboy at times, but in reality, I don't care because I have friends of all console preferences, and we get along great. :D I do apologize for getting a bit carried away, but what you said Roufuss REALLY made me angry and want to go to Tampa Bay to yell at you. ;)
PS2 is lookin' strong?

Only thing I'm interested on the system is Persona 4.
Admittedly, most of that is because I import a lotta games... other than Persona 4, I'm looking forward to Beatmania IIDX 14, King of Fighters 98 Ultimate Bout, Samsho collection, etc... lotta niche-ish stuff.

SamSho Collection is coming out in the US, you know that right?

So is KoF 98 Ultimate Bout.

But I'm sure you knew that.
In all honesty, I think further judgment of platforms would be better looked at after the summer announcements.
Hell, I think all the platforms have decent games coming out, except really the Wii because Nintendo hasn't really announced shit on it.

June looks awesome.
November looks even better for both systems.

Plenty of stuff in between to keep me busy, espicially on the DS.
interestingly, the PS2's still lookin' strong.
I know how for some the PS2 lineup is pretty strong, but I've pretty much retired my PS2. I use to be a pretty big PS2 fan (anyone who remembered my old posts say me defend the PS2 big time), but now I rarely play it. Just about every game I buy for it now just gets ignored (you all know how much I was excited about Mana Khemia, and I've pretty much ignored it. DDR SuperNOVA 2 got the least playtime out of any DDR I ever bought since Ultramix 4 (but that was because my Xbox was pretty much being retired)). A lot of it is because I have a huge backlog of PS2 games, where many I may never finish. I honestly don't care about 40% of the games I own anymore, which is why I've been trying to sell many or let GS give me next to nothing for them. I use to own over 200, now down to just over 100. Since I got my HDTV, I just can't stand looking at PS2 graphics on my HDTV. The PS3 upscaling just doesn't help enough. I prefer just leaving my PS2 on an SDTV, but an SDTV is in the basement (where all my old consoles are) and just don't feel like playing them. I've also come very accustomed to having a buddy list, sending/receiving messages to friends, seeing what all my friends are playing (on PS3/360), along with HD graphics and other nice features of the PS3/360, I just have a very difficult time going back. I know Persona 3 is a good game, but I just don't have the motivation to play it and would rather play one of my 360 RPGs if I want to play an RPG (like Lost Odyssey, Eternal Sonata, etc.). I've also just preferred playing online games with my friends on PS3 now.

I mean, yeah I like RPGs and fighters and all, but I've pretty much played what I wanted to. I like King of Fighters, but I rather just wait for KoFXII next gen. The only RPGs I may still buy for PS2 is Persona 4, Ar Tonelico II (I do really like the first one), and probably Mana Khemia II (if I get around to playing the first).

But basically, what the PS3/360 provide have spoiled me too much, and have become my primary platforms. I just can't get myself to play PS2 anymore and barely care about it like I use to. Doesn't mean I hate PS2, because it's still my second favorite platform ever.
interestingly, the PS2's still lookin' strong.
seriously.

the ps2 shouldn't be dead yet. the graphics still look good to me and it's cheap.
^^^

Did anyone read that?
nope.
i saw DDR ultramix or whatever and i just skipped it.

TMK, you might be pro at EE but you gotta work on your writing =) That SO3 review you wrote a while back seemed boring, repetitive, and awfully wordy without really getting into the meat of the game.
Yeah, whatever happened to the old Ultima series? The last one was disappointing, and ever since Ultima Online the franchise has sorta dwindled away.
EA happened!
You can see the downfall starting from the middle part of Ultima 7 Part 2...

I'm counting on SNKPUSA to fuck them up, so importing it is.

I forgot Sengoku Basara X, too. That's a Capcom game, so it'll probably hit the US unscathed. And I forgot Yakuza 2 as well.

I'm gonna spend the weekend jamming on the N64 -

Got Starfox 64 for $5 the other day.

Grabbed an N64, two controllers, Mario Kart 64 for $30 off CL... MK 64 is worth almost that much on Ebay, like $15 - $20 cart only.

Grabbed Wave Race 64, Pilotwings 64, Excitebike 64, and Blast Corps at a pawn today for $23 total... most of them were blind buys, but IGN rated Wave Race 64 and Excitebike 64 pretty highly (checked when I got home) , so I'm excited to play them.

I went to this pawn shop for a $5 OoT, but it was already sold, so I got some concession prizes. Cheaper than the VC, and if I find a game I hate, I can always sell it and break even.

Finally managed to grab FF Revenant Wings for $20 at a Target too.

I just really want to play Starfox 64.
seriously.

the ps2 shouldn't be dead yet. the graphics still look good to me and it's cheap.
I actually want PS2 to just go away, with stuff moving to PS3/360. I'll admit I still kept the PS2 as my main console, until I bought my HDTV around April 2007. At that time, I wasn't really all that big of a PS3/360 fan (I actually didn't play them all that much, my PS3 was used for PS2 games mostly). Once I got the HDTV (and surround sound), I just started liking PS3/360 much more and wanted all my games for it (even if I had to pay $10-$20 more). It's like I'm glad Disgaea is on PS3 compared to PS2, and glad Katamari came to 360 compared to PS2. I just want my games running in HD (so it displays better on my TV), be able to watch my buddies sign on/off, receive messages, etc.

But that's just me, and I understand how some people don't have a lot of money to spend on games, and having a PS2 is excellent for them (good games for cheap).

I know for some people cheap games are good (and I do like to occasionally buy some cheap games), but to an extent I'm tired of them. If games are cheap, I buy too many, getting way too big of a backlog. I'll admit I took advantage of many sales buying games for $3-$10, and barely played most. When I'm buying games for near full price, I do buy less, and finish more games. ;) But at the same time, I could save the money for a date with a nice girl instead. ;)

To be honest, I'm not really into writing. I was never good at English class (I'm especially terrible at reading, with one of the lowest reading levels on earth). I'm more of a math, programming, and science guy. That's my expertise.

I know that Nintendo has lot of big Wii guns announced for E3 this year, I'm just scared they care less now about DS. it's like they neglect it now.

as for E3 nintendo, probably the big stuff they will show is the new FPS Zelda, Kida Ikarus, Red Steel 2, Disaster Report and whatnot... also, I don't care what system it's on, but please anounce Hotel Dusk 2!!!

I did do a lot of editing; however, I did write that before I learned a few new writing tricks. I knew it wasn't perfect, and I don't really care. I just put a lot of time putting a lot of words.

I think you need a journalism or English class or two, That Manga Nite.

You'll learn how to cut the unnecessary portions of your essays/posts.

I agree with kainzero. Everything.

So yea, I only read TMK's long drawn out superposts to lol at them. Sorry, but true. There's always something good in there.

Yea, work on your writing. I don't care if you don't take pride in it. lol.

Also I love fighting games, and I love video games more than you. :p

It's weird using the Tekken stick on the Dreamcast. Guess I'm just not used to enjoying CVS2 or Last Blade 2. Or Project Justice. Yeah!

I wanna get the new Hori stick for the PS3, but I don't have the moneys :(

Maybe Battle Fantasia will convince me it's worth it.

Only other English class I took was Technical writing, but that's a different story. I only know about writing technical lab reports on how electronics work.

Oh course you love games more than me (I'm more so into computer programming than gaming). ;) I don't even consider myself a hardcore gamer at all. I just play for fun usually. I don't care about beating people in video games, I just like to have fun and socialize. :D

Oh yeah, I did play the Bourne Conspiracy demo. Pretty good. I didn't know much about it, but I liked what I played. I probably won't buy since I have too many games, but it was good.

It's definitely gonna be worth it, methinks... there's soooo much good shit coming out in the genre, so it's not like I won't get much use out of it...

I guess that'll be my next thing to save for, right after my speakers ship. Gotta play that BlazBlue the right way.

CALAMITY TRIGGER

Edit: I also want to buy a PSP Slim. I'm sick of playing games on this broke-ass screen and both the d-pad and the analog nub suck. With the slim, I at least have a working D-pad and I can hook it up to my TV... that, and games take too long to load...

I say that use to like my PSP quite a bit but hated the damn d-pad. Now with it fixed I pretty much have no complaints with the PSP. Actually, 90% of why I upgraded to the slim is because of the d-pad and I say it's entirely worth it.

I even paid extra $$$ just to get the color I want (to an extent, I got tired of finger.

Overall, I'm so glad I did because I love the lighter weight, love the new D-pad, like how some games appear to load faster due to more ram, and mine doesn't have dead pixels like my previous one. I still keep my old PSP around, but really love the PSP slim in comparison. Now I can play Guilty Gear Judgment and Street Fighter Alpha 3 Max much easier. :D I'll admit I also got it to play PSP games on the HDTV, which I rarely use, but still nice to have regardless.

Chac, it's definitely worth it if the D-pad is your concern.
Sony would miss out on selling a lot of PSP's this way, but yes, that'd be awesome.

Me too. Those games plus more. I'll just pick up a PSP when they are $100, which won't be anytime soon.

I needsta get on that P3 FES action soon, but I want to play Lost Odyssey first.
