It took me a little while to get into it also, a lotta cutscenes :/
Graphics look pretty chill though :D
Old Xbox Counter Strike is so fun. I used to play the shit out of this game back in 2003ish, and people STILL play it.
I could NOT stand Counter Strike on the Xbox, it felt so....weird. CS should've just stayed on the PC.

CS Source is my forte, does any of you's peoples play any CS Source? Only one I've seen on is Pookymeister.

I used to play CSS, but I got sick of the fact that it is the ultimate Boy Scout Simulator. Because the primary tactic is camping.

And yeah, I'm not giving up on Crisis Core yet since A) It's Final Fantasy VII... the style is sooo cool that I feel motivated to give it a fair shake and B) An hour ain't too much time in RPG land.
Inufaye, did you ever play Kingdom Under Fire: Circle of Doom?

It reminded me a lot of PSO, put a lot of hours into that.
Nah, ill check it out when it gets a tad cheaper.
Well I will agree that Battle Fantasia is great. I think people will be very satisfied with it when it comes out here. It's pretty vast for a fighting game. Lots of stuff to do.
It looks awesome.
I don't know how people are complaining about the screens? They haven't seen it in motion/played it yet. It's not even out in arcades in Japan yet. There is a location test coming up soon in Japan, and there MIGHT be one in the US. But it will be invite only I think.

Oh btw, if you didn't know. Arcsystemworks = Aksys Games. That is the name of the US division, same company.

You mean, Guilty Gear Overture? That game is garbage, I tried the final version already lol. It's fun if you like the mythos/style of the genre though. Just not that 'good' of a game IMO.

But you didn't hear that from me.

EDIT: BTW, I bet you guys didn't know that Blaz Blue, KOF XII, and Battle Fantasia all run off 3D game engines... the animation quality is just so good you won't be able to notice the beautiful layers over the polygon model blocks for each character.

Ahh man, people who camp nowadays are heckled for it and usually end up getting trampled anyways, unless the whole team pitches tent, then it's usually "do unto others what they do to you" unless your team is decent enough and gung-ho about runnin' in and rippin' it up, which I love to do ;)

One RPG I had to do that with was FFIII for the DS, then I thought it was decent enough to go through and finish. I think having to go through the whole mail system with other "friends" just to allow you to do some secret dungeon/boss and onion class or w/e is some BS

Can't wait for FFIV though, which I think is the one with Cain and Cecil, that was my fav :D

Zombie Mod is pretty fun, but I find myself playing GunGame mod a lot, since you don't really have to rely on your team, but if they all blow, then your SOL. I got banned from some Zombie Mod servers b/c I went into glitch areas just because other people went there and I wondered what all the fuss was about. Now they want me to go on some forum and appeal my ban, but f*** it, they're all dicks anyways :D
Fixed for you. ;) I was a big fan of Kain myself, so I remembered.

Killzone 2 looks really good graphically and I can't wait. Not the biggest FPS fan, but I really want it.

Shini and I use to play Resistance together back in the day. :) Hopefully I play Rock Band w/ you someday.

Ahh yes, Kain, everytime I hear that name, I think Cain and Abel.

When Resistance 2 comes out, you know where I'll be ;)
I'd be on Rock Band already but my bro had taken my drum sticks last week and ended up losing one >.>
They're already turning green/black so I gotta pick up a couple pairs from the Guitar Center anyways. Gotta drop by there for another reason, gotta change the tuners on my guitar.

Btw, Lebron needs to step up, he's gotta lead the Cavs and he's screwing up big time! S'all good, Lakers will be holding up the NBA Trophy at the end :D

I've always been a big fan of 4 , but I like 6 better. The biggest thing I'm hoping for out the of DS remake of 4 is higher difficulty. When I replayed the game on the PS1 I couldn't believe how easy it seemed. And when I played the game last year on the GBA it was even easier.

I remember playing it on the SNES, that was pretty hard, especially with the Wall Boss, I died so many times (Shurikens are your best friend)

Honestly, I have never played 6 :whistle2:#

Can you buy PS1 games from PSN without owning a PS3? Because I wants that suikoden.

In other news, Inufaye sees through my clever ruse of disliking Killzone because it's on PS3, and not because it's from a shitty developer that's only made 2 shitty games to date, and the only thing anyone really knows is that all the videos shown of it until now were lies. AWESOME! GET HYPED
Don't play KOF:Circle of Doom, its a disgrace to the previous 2 on xbox. Seriously.
Wrong.

It wasn't supposed to a Dynasty Warriors clone like the last two (although they are making a DW clone - KUF for the 360).

It's just a side shot that's exactly like PSO.

Dungeon crawling, making new/better weapons, level/grinding, 4 player online co-op.

I know that its supposed to be different, but whats the point if the combat that is the focus of this one is 5 times worse than the combat systems in the other 2? I really wanted to like it but I couldn't even finish the demo.

There are so many weapon types per the 7 characters, about 6 and they all handle different. so that's 42 different combat systems in the game. The demo is limited, you probably tried 2-3 max.

Yeah I will admit that back in the day the wall boss sucked. Honestly though , I can't imagine how easy the SNES version would be for me compared to the other two now since it was the "easy mode" version.

Also , you need to play 6 ASAP. I would love to see a well done re-make in 3D for it on the DS or PSP.
FF 4 is awesome, but too bad we'll never see the sequel.
You mean "The After"? Yeah , why are all these companies putting out prequels/sequels to major series on cell phones? FF7 Before Crisis, FF4 The After , The new Mega Man Legends , the new Parasite Eve. Couldn't they at least port them to the DS or something? I mean even in nintendo power the other month they asked if "The After" might be included in the DS version for the US or if it might be released seperatly over here and they basically said , no we want it to stay as a cell phone game.

Yea, I gotta try out 6 sometime.

I have no idea why they put these types of games on cell phones, I mean seriously, who buys a phone to play games on it ?:/
Do they really get that lazy with the game?

I just ordered this awesome shirt from http://shirt.woot.com/ ! $10!

Alpha_Battledo2Detail.png

N is Ninja Gaiden, I had to look it up on the woot page, they did a shitty job on that one.

Not a bad shirt at all for $10.
FFIV is beyond awesome.
I agree. I actually prefer it to VI, but part of the reason is it was the first RPG I played and still have a lot of special memories playing it. I really liked the characters and beat it several times (possibly more than any other FF). It was my favorite RPG ever until the FF you dislike came around (well, Secret of Mana was also up there high). ;) Shockingly, I did not play Chrono Trigger until the early PS1 years.

Anyway, played Mario Kart Wii online last night with StarKnightX and metaly. :D Definitely fun, although I sucked early on. :whistle2:(

Cool shirt; however, I have way too many T-Shirts right now and don't need another.

Have you watched the latest gameplay videos that came out this week?

Killzone Liberation was awesome.

Killzone 1 would have been better if it ran at more then 20fps, but since you game on a console you are used to it by now.

Just don't say anything Jer, it just proves what an ass you really are.
I already gave it to n8nmonster, sorry :(

But yea, I had no use for it, so I gave it to him to test with all the musical stuffs.

The review has been updated BTW, now reflects music games.

Check it out everyone, http://sdtekken.com !
Nice review! I'll probably order one soon since it sounds like it works well. Only thing I'm wondering is if it supports ps3 games that use ds3 with a ds2 controller plugged into that. If not, its still not a deal breaker to me.

Hmm. . . . what to play today.

once I finally buy a 360 :bomb:
KUF: Circle of Doom is atrocious. It has a 56% average on Game Rankings (not really trying to prove my point). I played the demo and had a short chance to play the full version, and it is very bad. It plays nothing like PSO. Tries to be like DW in some way, but an action RPG.

Back the double standard bus back a bit.

What's the difference between you complaining about KUF based on the demo (and "short chance" with the retail game - which I'm doubting you actually did play by the way) and when Mark Man complained about Haze based on the demo?

Oh wait. There is no difference.

Zew is right. It's like PSO, more specifically it's like PSU. It was a little slow for my taste.

There is a difference.

One is on PS3, one is in 360.

If KUF was on PS3, I'm sure it would be the coolest game ever. No offense, TMK, but that's just how I've seen you roll... I've seen you defend the PS3 version of GTA 4 numerous times and IIRC, you don't even own the game or want to own it (as you've stated in other threads), so I don't see how you can talk about how good it runs compared to the 360 version either. But to talk shit about KUF with barely playing it, while defending tons of games with similar bad rankings just because they on the PS3... that's a little too bias, even for you.

i bought some AF1 2007s for $50, yay. finally got my pair of nice white shoes.

oh uh, yea games... i started GTA4. pretty cool game but the control is still awful on foot.

i like how they make you feel like crap though. =X

Got GTA IV two days ago. Had to change the controller to classic for driving...I was like...wait a minute this isn't how I remember driving before...kept pressing A to go. So then was thankful I could change it...I'm so not used to using the top buttons to drive

AF1s ;)

Man, I stopped buying honey bunches of shoes awhile ago. But recently I've been getting that itch to buy a new pair. Theres only 1 AF1 I like, even if it is a fashion abomination. It's the PS ones. ;)

who gives a shit about PC?

I shall have to try this PC playstation store. I usually don't even pay attention to Sony's Digital Distro stuff because I had heard you needed a PS3 to get at it.

People that like the Superior Versions of almost every console game.
Thats who, and people who know better then to pay for maps, weapons, unlocks and stupid shit that console owners have been eating up.

Yea, if by superior you mean "It comes months later and is full of DRM". By the time Burnout Paradise comes out for the PC, there will be another 3 or 4 console games that PC people will be wanting and hoping it gets ported. And the game will only have mod's if people buy it and spend time making mod's.

And believe me, once they find out how to charge people for maps on the PC, they will do it, or they simply just won't bring them to the PC, like CoD 4.

I remember a time when the PC was good because it had awesome games that could only be done on a PC, not awesome because "It does these console games marginally better". The 90's were the best for PC gaming, when shit like Half Life was king, and the consoles got it much later but it wasn't ever the same. When you had stuff like Warcraft, Baldur's Gate, Civilization, Deus Ex, just tons and tons of great stuff that trickled down to the consoles in due time.

I never thought getting a superior version of Burnout Paradise would be this great victory for the PC as a platform, and it's a little saddening... imo, people should concentrate more on the games that only the PC does best (like Sins of a Solar Empire) instead of hoping for marginally optimized console ports. Getting a superior version of Burnout Paradise isn't really this huge strike against the consoles.

But I doubt PC will ever be what it once was.
