I dont see the need for fancy presentations. You should be too busy dodging things
Mmm, but shooting shit just wasn't all that satisfying in the one I played. I believe it was Imperishable Night. I mean, the patterns were cool and all, but it just felt like it was missing that layer of polish that separates a good game from a great one.
All that stuff is done by like one guy. I thing some cutting of slack is necessary.
As a game developed by one guy, yeah, it's impressive, but the dev. team's size doesn't really change how I look at a game's quality...
I'm wondering just how much more difficult it is, because I really didn't think The Journey was difficult at all... at least, not by SMT standards. By FF standards, it was tough...
The Journey was a breeze. The Answer is more on track with other SMT games.

Yea it's all one guy.

Music can be catchy sometimes, and I've played mostly Embodiment Of Scarlet Devil and Perfect Cherry Blossom

Not exactly the best example, but dodging all this stuff can get pretty tedious, at least the hitbox is visible and pretty damn small.

Interesting. It's been a long time since I've played a difficult SMT game (Devil Summoner was a joke), so this should be fun.

Got this stuff today...

The Ant Commandos PS2 to PS3 converter. Works great with PS2 guitars on PS3 Rock Band and Guitar Hero 3. But is not as good as the Pelican converter (best one out there for PS1/PS2 arcade sticks on PS3) for fighting games. So after the sad testing session was done, I went to GameStop randomly... where I saw...

Holy crap, NEW for $9.99!? Don't mind if I do. I almost did a triple take. If you're familiar with these, you should know how much they go for on eBay. Yikes.

Anyways...

Here is a link to my review of the TAC PS2 to PS3 converter:

Top article.

NOTE: This review only pertains to the converter and it's use with fighting games. Our guitar compatibility portion of the review is still being written. Should be up sometime soon.

I should try my GT pS2 wheel with the Pelican on my PS3 and see how it is with GT5p.

So when you say FES The Answer is hard...do you mean it's grinding levels hard, or figuring out enemy/boss tactics hard? Yeah, I haven't played any SMT games yet.

It's both.
how much do pelicans go for on ebay? be honest with me. I have one sitting around and could use the extra cash.
Replied in FGT. GO RR!

well, capcom does have rights to it. sadly I'd rather see God Hand... which reminds me I need to go back and beat it... the entire thing reminds me of chacrana for no reason.

Why it works just fine without an adapter.
More than anything, I hope the Persona game rumored to hit the PSP is a compilation of Persona 2 Innocent Sin and Eternal Punishment. Could they make something better than that for the PSP? No.
Just got around to reading EGM where the rumors claim there will be all new Personas for PSP and PS3. I would def. buy a 2xP2 port though.I'm actually not looking forward to getting to the Answer. Bosses with Dodge Element for their weakness is just a kick, straight from Atlus to your nuts.

Input needed: I got GTAIV for my birthday... the PS3 version. I need the 360 version for DLC. I have no 360 yet. And no time to play it yet since I have a lot of Persona 3 left.

 • Return the PS3 version and exchange for 360, and play it eventually?
 • Play PS3 now, and buy the 360 version in 6 months if the DLC is any good?
 • Return it and buy... I dunno, BOOM BLOX? I really can't decide.

I played some Hot Shots Golf: OoB w/ an OTT/CAG member. First game he beat me, the 2nd game I beat him, but we had fun.

As for shmups, I like them. Mostly, I played them a lot of Dreamcast with my friend. Right now, I'm just playing a lot of the Konami collection ones on PSP (Gradius Collection, Twinbee Portable, and Salamander Portable rock, I just need Parodius Portable).

I played some more Bully last night, then tried a mission on Blazing Angels 2 but I kept messing it up, I think I was too tired.

Question for the old folks out there. I completed Ghostbusters on a C64 emulator running on my GP2X (well I didn't complete it, I used a trainer to skip to the end ;)) and after I got through the Marshmallow Mans legs it just skipped to a scene at the top of the building with the two guys crossing the streams and ending the game (I had no control over that). My question is this, I'm sure I've seen screen shots with a little white Zuul character flying around at the top of the building, am I making stuff up or is that on a different version of Ghostbusters?

Bah, you young whipper-snappers are probably all too young to remember C64's and Ghostbusters :D

Just play it now. There's rumored to be PS3 DLC too, but we don't know what it will be yet. Also, the game does run great on PS3.

What day was your birthday exactly, because I wanted to wish you a Happy Birthday on that day. I try remembering many CAG members birthdays.

I'm pretty sure I never got that far, but that version of the game is around in one way or another on a ton of different variations, isn't it? (NES, SMS, etc.) Could've been a screen shot from a different version.

I remember thinking that game was awesome, but I've replayed it and it's really not, is it? Oh well.

Anyone know how long the second disc of MGS1 is (with the cut scenes / codecs being watched)? I think that's where I left off and I'd like to finish some game sometime soon, and that's probably the one I'm the closest on.

You really should just play it now. The DLC isn't going to be out for a while, and I prefer the Dual Shock 3 over the 360 controller, assuming you have one.

If they put a "II" in the title, I'm there dood! Still, great news for fans of the franchise!

Is it really a "forfeit" if the other side never really accepted said challenge? Semantically that doesn't seem to follow.
I was hoping it was the Suikoden I and II thing on the PSP, not some downloadable nonsense.
I rather pay $10 for a download that can be played on PSP AND PS3 (using my old Suikoden I game save) than paying $40 for a disc I have to start all over again with (that can only be played on PSP).

I cannot play since my friend never talked to me, so no borrowing the game. :whistle2:(

u guys need to step your headspin game up.

you're all getting owned by sum 7 year old boy:

Good to see, Mana. I've never played any of that series, but I'm looking forward to it.

Just got a few sidequests to finish up in Final Fantasy IX before I head into Memoria for the final battle. Hopefully I'll get it done by tomorrow. Kinda getting tired of all things Final Fantasy. Its taken me about 15 months to play thru FF 1-9. My goal was to do them all within a year, but I took several lengthy breaks inbetween some of the them which prolonged it. I don't think I 100% completed any of them as far as all sidequests etc etc, but I did good enough for my own satisfaction.

But with that done, I'm gonna take a long break before moving on to FF X and beyond. I've got a lot of other games to catch up on the PS3 when I get that in about a month from now.

Yep. It sure is!

And thanks for all the congrats. I knew you GGTers would lose gracefully.

Us OTTers are terrible winners though.
The OTT claims glorious victory over the GGT in the Halo 3 match via forfeit.

OTT! OTT! OTT!
I thought the match was going to be played on the 13th ?

If by 'killing' you meant, that you losing without even winning one match out of ten. Then yes, I agree.

Also, looks like I need to start selling my 3 copies of Suikoden I and 3 copies of Suikoden II (Yes it is coming out on PSN/PSP as well).
I thought the match was going to be played on the 13th ?
There weren't enough GGTers that wanted to play and could make game time. (Actually only one GGTer had said they'd be there.) So we opened it up to all of CAG to hopefully get enough for a OTT vs. X match.

Yeah but I was about to start a "Rocky training montage" like push to improve my Halo skills in time to claim the victory on game day, you're robbing me of that Wubb.

Ah well, I guess I'm as "X" as anyone else.
