If your site doesn't want to keep it, I'd be willing to make a donation in exchange for your TAC adapter :D

And for the person who asked how much the Pelican's go for, I sold one about 2 months ago for about $50. I didn't know they were going high either until I saw a few auctions, then decided to give mine up.

Need to start playing that Haze demo now.

Need to start playing that Haze demo now.
I just downloaded it (already had the U.K. one, but replacing it with the U.S.). Looking forward to co-op w/ PSN friends. :)
Haze sucks. So sloppy.
I thought the demo was pretty good, but not great. Better than Halo for sure. :p

Free Radical games are a like it or hate it though.
Amazing review
I concur.

Haze felt like like a boring crysis.

I hated the suit things.

I hate most FPS though.

I already gave it to n8nmonster, sorry :(

But yea, I had no use for it, so I gave it to him to test with all the musical stuffs.

The review has been updated BTW, now reflects music games.

Check it out everyone, http://sdtekken.com !

There's no super-deformed Tekken characters! Color me disappointed.

Just kidding. However, super-deformation was the first thing I thought of when I saw that URL.

Chalk it up to false advertising :) I'll make sure my next update includes SD (Super Deformed) tekken art...

Yea Haze is... wack.

lol.

Is this a Sony Defense Force mechanism? Where sucky/sub par games = pretty good... and when pretty good games = BEST EVAR!?

;)

People honestly expected Haze to be good? Free Radical has always been shitty.

Also, how long is Persona 2 compared to Persona 3? I'm tempted to finally play through that.

SDF did.

I knew it would be mediocre from the get go.

I gave it a shot, hoping it would be fun with 4 player co-op, but it isn't.

;)
I wasn't saying Haze was OMG great, it was solid, but that is coming from the U.K. demo. Playing co-op is actually a lot of fun in it. I'll admit the graphics weren't great, but the game is fun. Will I be buying it? Nope. Btw, I've played the demo four times, more than you even played it. ;) And yes, I have many friends who love the Haze demo and will be buying on release.

People just love to crap on Haze because it's PS3 exclusive, that's all (what I call the anti-Sony defense force).

Quiet Zew, it's not Magna or whatever you say.
Mana Knight and... that's it.
Quiet you.

Timesplitters is good. You say Star Ocean 3 is terrible and the game rocks. You have very questionable tastes.

TMK? You think you've played it more than me? When did you play it? When it was on the UK PSN? I don't need to play a game demo 4 times to decide it's meh. I have better foresight than that. I have the sword of omens in my pants man.

Mr. SDF, how come you didn't DL it when it went up on the debug PSN servers? Oh what you don't have a test/debug PS3? What's up with that?

How does Haze look on your Sony Bravia 1080p TV? Please let me know.

---

Chacrana, from what I remember, Persona 2 took me awhile longer than P3. My memory is super hazy on that game. For some reason I have trouble remembering a lot of 1998-2000... lol.

Demo != final product.

And yes, I have a 1080p TV too and it looks fine, but not OMG great looking like Uncharted.

Forza on Xbox had a beyond terrible demo, but the full game turned out to be one of the best racing games ever. Rallisport Challenge 1 and 2 were the same way, because the demo was old. Sega Superstars Tennis demo got a lot of negative impressions, but those who bought the full game and compared it would say it's much better. I've seen many games that looked better in the final version when compared to the demo. If I would have judged the full version based on their old demos, I would have missed out on awesome games.

However, like I said, I will not get Haze anyway since I really don't like buying many FPS and the only other one I will buy this year is Resistance 2 (and Killzone 2 next years), and that's all I'll buy the rest of the generation. I just greatly prefer 3rd person shooters anyway.

And please stop calling me Mr. SDF.

Hrm... if it's that long, maybe I'll hold off on it...

I'm going to start Crisis Core tonight... finally.

And Star Ocean 3 really is terrible. It's not that my tastes are questionable, it's that the game has AI-controlled allies who kill themselves by casting spells over and over, even when it's not necessary.
So, you gettin' Gears 2 than, eh That Magna Nite?
Probably not, I didn't like the first Gears.

However, there's a good chance I'll be buying Two Human, but that game is quite different. ;)

I normally just controlled most all the characters myself. It's still one of my favorite battle systems yet and I still really like the victory fanfare theme.

Inufaye, did you ever play Kingdom Under Fire: Circle of Doom?

It reminded me a lot of PSO, put a lot of hours into that.
Which is good cuz PSO> All.
PSO rocks. I really liked it. Unfortunately, my game save is now removed since I sold my Dreamcast VMU card with my datasave on it. :whistle2:(

Sorry Ms. SDF... my apologies. I'm just voicing my opinion here. But even if you think that demo may not represent the final product, I'm telling you otherwise, that it will. Just my two centabos...

Sorry if I got under your skin, I know you like to pop up every now and then someone mentions something about anything related to Sony :)

But that's all good.

*goes back to playing Haze*

And in my opinion I like it. Just got done playing the demo again. The story gives me some kind of special feeling, whenever I play it. However, I enjoyed other Free Radical games and once I got use to the controls, had some fun with Haze.

But like I said, I probably will not get it unless my PSN friends put the pressure on me to buy it (they got me to buy CoD4). I much rather buy something like a Battle Fantasia, since that's more of a game for me (Now that's a demo I play way too much). ;) But on the day Haze comes out, I'll be buying SingStar, a game I really cannot wait for. :D

Well, let's just say I was getting worked up a bit, kind of like the stuff my H.S. friends use to do to me to get my riled up.

Well I will agree that Battle Fantasia is great. I think people will be very satisfied with it when it comes out here. It's pretty vast for a fighting game. Lots of stuff to do.
Well I will agree that Battle Fantasia is great. I think people will be very satisfied with it when it comes out here. It's pretty vast for a fighting game. Lots of stuff to do.
Well, I am a big time Guilty Gear fan. ;) I really wish I could try out more of the characters, but I really liked what I played. I'm even willing to pay $60 for if it comes stateside. :p

Anyway, I played the GRID demo before Haze again. There does seem to be a lot of tearing (could be mostly fixed in the final version), but it's fun. I like it; however, not as much as I liked DiRT during the demo stage, but it could be because I'm more of a rally racing fan and haven't really gotten use to way it plays yet (I didn't really play the Pro Race Driver games). I'll still give the demo a few more shots, but I probably won't get since I'm loaded with racers atm.
MM, you got any "estimates" of when we can expect to see Battle Fantasia hit the Gringo Colony?
I don't know, but I'm going to watch Speed Racer tonight at midnight and before hand I'm going to hit up my friend's house and play the US version of Battle Fantasia, I'll see how far along the build is (which should be complete gameplay wise at least), and play some BLAZ BLUE!

I know, I know, you're jealous :)

BLAZ BLUE graphics >>>> anything else Arcsystemworks has put out to date...

I really want BLAZ BLUE. Although some at GAF were reporting the graphics were a bit jaggy in 720p? I don't really know, but I still want to play it. :)

As for Battle Fantasia, my guess is the U.S. publisher is Aksys Games, since they've brought over most all Arc System games as of late (they are bringing Guilty Gear Warriors (well, Guilty Gear 2: Overture, which I like to call GG Warriors after playing the demo)). I may actually buy that since I'm a GG fanboy and love DW type games.

I don't know how people are complaining about the screens? They haven't seen it in motion/played it yet. It's not even out in arcades in Japan yet. There is a location test coming up soon in Japan, and there MIGHT be one in the US. But it will be invite only I think.

Oh btw, if you didn't know. Arcsystemworks = Aksys Games. That is the name of the US division, same company.

You mean, Guilty Gear Overture? That game is garbage, I tried the final version already lol. It's fun if you like the mythos/style of the genre though. Just not that 'good' of a game IMO.

But you didn't hear that from me.

EDIT: BTW, I bet you guys didn't know that Blaz Blue, KOF XII, and Battle Fantasia all run off 3D game engines... the animation quality is just so good you won't be able to notice the beautiful layers over the polygon model blocks for each character.

Why did haze ever look good to anyone? Bargain basement C level shit on par with Turning Point, Turok, and all those other mediocre shit shooters that developers crank out. I think the only people expecting much were PS3 fanboys who shit themselves over anything that comes out only on PS3. Just like Killzone 2.

The era of the FPS is coming to an end and Killzone 2 is going to be about 14 months too late to the party.

I might just go buy Boom Blox. I have been playing the SD game lately, lots of Wii, PS2, and PSP.

Like you said, I'm jealous.

Had a decent run today.

Picked up Starfox 64 at a pawn for $5 (I never played it, and I've had awesome things about it.. $5 cheaper than the VC copy to boot), and the real score of the day, Baldur's Gate: Dark Alliance 2 for $7.50.

Also grabbed a copy of Contact for $10 at a K-Mart... it's a game I always wanted to play, then forgot all about it, then it disappeared.

I passed on Goldeneye for $5, because I don't think it will hold up well at all. Now I just have to dig out my N64!

I'd enjoy those fighting games if anyone else I knew was as nerdy as me and appreciated 2D fighting mechanics. Unfortunately people who do are more and more rare.

New Killzone 2 trailer is hilarious. The more they show of the game, the closer it gets to looking like "real gameplay" and the more it looks very run of the mill and not impressive at all.

Old Xbox Counter Strike is so fun. I used to play the shit out of this game back in 2003ish, and people STILL play it.

I'm looking forward to all dem "3D" fightin' games: Blaz Blue, Battle Fantasia, KOFXII!

Kotaku mentioned that Suikoden for PSN was on the newest ESRB ratings reg list. Nice. Gonna hold out for Suikoden II.
Question for the old folks out there. I completed Ghostbusters on a C64 emulator running on my GP2X (well I didn't complete it, I used a trainer to skip to the end ;)) and after I got through the Marshmallow Mans legs it just skipped to a scene at the top of the building with the two guys crossing the streams and ending the game (I had no control over that). My question is this, I'm sure I've seen screen shots with a little white Zuul character flying around at the top of the building, am I making stuff up or is that on a different version of Ghostbusters?

Bah, you young whipper-snappers are probably all too young to remember C64's and Ghostbusters :D
C64 Ghostbusters was my first favorite game ever. I only beat it once, but I don't remember anything flying around at the top of the tower. You're not thinking of the NES are you?

Played about an hour of Crisis Core... not really feelin' it yet. But then, EGM said that the game really, really improves and that the initial segment is kinda slow, and I'm also tired as shit, so that might affect things.
