GGT #52 welcomes the glorious return of Clay Fighter on DSiware
Anyone here getting Hot Pursuit next week?

I'm not huge into racing games, but it looks so good.
Got it preordered for release date delivery. I'm excited, even if I've been a NFS fan for ages (even liked NFS games most hated such as Carbon).

Anyone ever try Magna Carta 2 on 360? I've been considering the game for a while at $23 at GameStop.

I'll have it preordered for RR Delivery once amazon gets my trades and gives me credit.

Can't decide if I want it for 360 or PS3. Leaning towards PS3 in case my roommate gets it so he can play online with me, but unsure.

PS3 version is a guarantee. I gotta keep the NFS series on PlayStation, since I've been playing them on PS since 1997. Criterion normally does a great job with the PS3 version, so I expect good things. I COULD see myself buying the game on both PS3 and 360 if I like it more than expected and plenty of friends get it on both consoles.
I used to take my little brothers, but once they hit 10 they got stuck in that "I'm too coo for this shit" phase.
Maybe you should be cooler so they'd go with you anyways.
True. Except unlike TMK she's not on my PSN or Live friends list. Hurtful
Do you even play anything on the PS3?
Wait wait wait. People go to the movies by themselves?

fuck that's depressing.
I've almost gone to every movie I've ever been to alone.

C'mon man, that's what women are for.

I've only been actively dating the last 5 years and I've been engaged for almost 3 of those, and we don't go to movies often :(

Finally bought Guwange. Didn't actually get to play it yet... that's tomorrow. Fortunately, I'm also getting my new monitor stand tomorrow, so I can flip my monitor sideways without a hassle. What good timing!

Guwange is awesome, I play that shit all the time. Great post. Thanks.

I've only gone to one movie alone and it was such a creepy experience because there was nobody to be entertained with.

My favorite movie experience was watching Snakes on a Plane with a friend when there was nobody else in the theater, so we got to talk about what was going on without ruining things for anybody else. That and going to the dollar theater after school with another friend for most of the school year to see month old releases for $0.50 since matinee started at about 3 PM most days. We probably saw about 40-50 movies that year and spent about $25 at most.

My favorite movie experience was having a friend drag me and two other friends to see Chicken Run at the dollar theater. We bailed on his ass about 1 minute into it and theater hopped into Gone in 60 Seconds and ended up being the only ones in there. We tore that movie apart and had a blast.

My most memorable movie experience was seeing Kill Bill 2. My friends were trying to hype me up for it, but I hadn't even seen the first one by that point. So we all sat down and watched the first one and left just in time to catch the second.

That's awesome. When I was playing Ikaruka I wished I had a monitor that could do that. Laying sidewise on the couch doesn't really work out.
why the fuck am i still logged on to work?

time to play some games while I wait for shit to finish so I don't fall asleep.
What do you do for a living? Sounds like you do some testering yourself.

MC2 starts off slow as hell (I mean most RPGs do but man it took a while for it to get going). That said you will like it because once it picks up the game is quite fun.

System Verification Test for a software product developed by a large company.

So yes, testering it is.

My most memorable movie going experience was probably right after a very hard mid-term in college rushing to the theater (since we pre-bought our tickets) to see High School Musical 3 on opening night. Everything about that entire situation was enjoyably funny (for instance my two roommates who were going to get fairly drunk before seeing the movie didn't have time to so they were forced to suffer through it sober, also even though we all thought we didn't do very well on that mid-term we all got A's). High School Musical 3 actually isn't a bad movie, and I own it on Blu-Ray now because watching it reminds me of all the hilarious times in college.

A runner up is seeing Dragonball Evolution with my roommates in college in a totally empty theater and joking that movie hardcore.

I've never minded going alone. I don't do it often, but I've never found it creepy or felt weird. I usually go with my girlfriend and we're not talking during the movie anyway, so the experience isn't much different.

It's more fun going with your significant other or friends and getting food and drinks before and/or after etc. and making a night of it. But otherwise, I'm going to watch the movie, and that part is the same with or without company.

Same for me. While I prefer going with people sometimes due to scheduling it just doesn't work out. So I've gone to a few movies by myself. It's not that bad at all. I'm there to watch the movie and that doesn't change if someone is or isn't there.

Exactly. I'm not going to miss seeing something because I can't work out schedules with my girlfriend or friends. All of us work a lot (including nights and weekends etc.) so it's a pain to find a time that works for everyone this day. Add in friends that have gotten married and have kids etc. and it's further complicated.

That depends on the movie, DragonBall Evolution would have been awful alone, but was fun with friends.

I never have many problems. I tend to either go late on a week night, or a morning/afternoon weekday showing or weekend morning, so there's not much of a crowd.

Ticket prices are high, but I don't mind $10 or so to see a good movie on the big screen. I never get anything from the concession stand, so I don't have to deal with those prices.
