GGT #52 welcomes the glorious return of Clay Fighter on DSiware

GGT turned into GMT?

I'm liking Fable III so far. I really like the Spell Weaving--the results are pretty cool.
I go to the movie theater like twice a year.
Man I hate people. Movie theater people. And prices.
Same. Shit's pretty pricey anymore, most movies I just wait for a home release if I care, and I hate dealing with people there.

The last two movies I saw in the theater were Inception and Dark Knight, and both were in IMAX. fuck 3D.

The only movies I saw in theater this year were

Kick-ass
Toy Story 3, twice
Scott Pilgrim vs the World
Harry Potter & the Deathly Hallows Pt 1 (upcoming)

I've not seen much this year myself--but just due to being busy and spending more free time on games and other things than in past years.

Off the top of my head I've seen: Iron Man 2, Inception, A Prophet, and I think a couple more that I can't recall at the moment. Hoping to find time to see The Girl Who Kicked the Hornet's Nest this weekend.

I've seen 4 movies(Toy Story 3, expendables, Iron Man 2 and Scott Pilgrim) this years.... thats the most I have seen in years.

I usually go to the theaters in the morning so the prices aren't too bad. There is one theater around where I live that is pretty cheap all day long but I avoid that place that the plague. And it drives me nuts that my friends always want to see movies there...
This year I saw:

Iron Man 2
Prince of Persia
Kick-Ass
Toy Story 3
Inception
I saw all those in the theater as well.

I also like the guns in Fable III, just 'cause I like range combat in games, not necessarily Fable III's implementation of the mechanic.

I just picked up the Landowner perk, so now I'm going to start buying up real estate. I enjoyed that part of the previous game and looking forward to amassing a new fortune in the current one.

Been to quite a bit this year, Inception, Expendables, RE Afterlife, Iron Man 2 and some others I can't remember. Missed Scott Pilgrim unfortunately. We've found a nice cinema which is a short scenic drive away and isn't ever that busy. I find it gets me out of the house if nothing else.

I see movies in theaters all the time. I just like going. I'll probably be seeing Skyline and Unstoppable this weekend. Not sure if I'll see Deathly Hallows in theaters though. The last two HP movies were so incredibly boring.

Also never been to a movie alone. I can almost always find someone to go.

Now I feel like making a list of what I've seen in theaters just to know how much money I've spent. Anyone know where a list of movies that have hit theaters so far this year is?

I've seen

Alice in Wonderland
The A-Team
Inception
Kick Ass
Scott Pilgrim
Killers
Hot Tub Time Machine
Date Night

My friend works at AMC so I get to see movies free, if it's just me and him or 1/4 to 1/2 off depending on how many people go with us. My favorites were Scott Pilgrim and Inception. Only one on that list I wouldn't really recommend is Killers. I've never seen the original A-Team so I don't know if they "raped" the characters.

Also, Tester Episode 2 sucked. Now it's just a normal reality show, but the prize at the end is different. I likes the first episode and it's game related challenge...guess I was in the minority.

Traded in New Vegas today (burned myself out on it, though it's great) along with NGS1 and MGS4...picked up these:
Vanquish
Dead Rising 2
Red Dead Redemption

with a B2G1 coupon. Not too shabby, though I wanted NBA 2K11 in place of RDR.

also got a GT5 Prologue share last night and played for a while...I think I'll play that Subway copy of GT5 if it doesn't get here in time to sell for massive early profit.

No, I have a feeling most people would agree that the first episode was better due to the fact that the challenge was actually video game related. But I also think that most of us expected and knew it was going to go to totally unrelated shit anyways so it wasn't a huge shocker that we needed to talk about.

Here's the list of movies I saw in a theater this year:

-----------------------------------------

It was awesome, an experience I'll never forget. Though, to be honest, I hate going to a theater for many reasons already listed.

I didn't expect it to be TOTALLY unrelated shit. I mean even that Ultimate Gamer one on SyFy(stupid name...) had unrelated shit, but then you could redeem yourself by owning in some actual game challenge. I just figured Tester skipped that first episode because it had to introduce people.

Only reason I watched Tester was because I heard a CAG was in there, and surprise surprise the CAG(Cheska) was the one with the most game knowledge. Though I suppose a CAG would know the most since you browse video game box art all day when looking for deals, lol.

I go to the movies all the time. Some movies just aren't the same if you don't see them in the theater (or even good, like Snakes on a Plane. It was awesome in the theater because of the experience, with people throwing fake snakes and cheering for Samuel L, but the film itself was terrible.)

I probably average about 2 movies a month. I don't mind missing a drama in the theater, but big action flicks or comedies just aren't the same to me at home.

Know what does shock me about that show? People who don't even own a PS3 are on it. I mean, c'mon, really?

It helps when you don't care about movies at all.

I see what you mean, ya it would be nice if they actually played some competitive video games, though to be honest that skill set doesn't have a whole lot to do with the skills that are required to test games. Like even if you have to test a multiplayer bug it isn't like you would actually be playing the game you would just create a setup to reproduce the bug and then see if the bug occurs. But, with that said it isn't like the stuff they are doing on the show is any more relevant to testing games.
Does Gamestop match their online prices in-store? I'd love to not pay $55 for a USED copy of Red Dead Redemption.
In my experience ... no.

I saw two movies:
Scott Pilgrim
Avatar (3D)

SP was awesome. Avatar was ok. Thought about Easy A, Inception, Toy Story 3, and Social Network, but ended up working the weekends instead. I'll see them all eventually on blu-ray or DVD.

Played more Def Jam Rapstar for trophies today.

The best you can do, I think, is order online for in store pickup.
Not sure if it works with used games.

You want to try to get some coop in tomorrow?

Hmm... I got my monitor stand, and it feels really, really solid. However, I can't figure out how to remove the current stand from the monitor. I might just have to break it off. Cuz liek, with the stand in place, I can't remove the screws that I need to get to.
I wanted to see Inception and Social Network but time+money just didn't work out.
I still don't understand why anyone would want to see a fucking movie about facebook.

Inception was good though.

God damn, it takes awhile to get monies in RE5.

You're dumb. People say "lol it's about facebook" as if the entire movie is two hours of a teenage girl sitting at her computer getting status updates.

I was against it, but eventually saw it was kinda good.

Well, to each his own. We knew going into this competition that we weren't really going to be playing actual games. Regardless, the show is entertaining, and you should still continue to watch. Especially next episode, that one is a real fun one :)

I watched Episode 2. Some people on that show are annoying, namely Tripplethreat since she thinks she's not ugly and that fat guy who thinks he's all that.

You're so alternative and different, you wanna go watch an obscure indy film and then masturbate to anime, ITS NOT FOR KIDS MAN ITS MATURE.

I'd be just as likely to shit on a movie about anything else I find ordinary and mundane. I go to movies to enjoy being told a story. And I couldn't really care less about the story of facebook. Just like I don't need to see a movie about Bill Gates developing DOS in his parents basement, a movie about Linus Torvalds and Linux, or a movie about Napster.

Watch out for the sequel: 2 hours about how facebook leaks your private information and people's addiction to social games. :bouncy:

Yeah, to buy everything you pretty much have to spam the one U shaped hallway with the Lickers in Chapter 5-2...you get 2500 dollar treasures out of some of them, save and quit, then reload the game and you'll keep the money and start right outside that room again.
Playing ODST with my fiancee. She sucks at it even on Easy and is being a biiiitch.
My girlfriend is terrrriibblle at first person games. Not good with spacial recognition or something. She's good at the lego games though.
