Trust me TMK... just wait, it's not that they aren't allowing it... it's that they're 'reviewing' the changes that improved upon the Japanese version.

If you catch what I'm saying... Oh well, it's on you if you wanna get the short end of the version stick... the differences between US/JPN will be very noticeable.
 
I have never played MGO... I should since I went through the trouble of signing up for it.

Edit: I need to grow up some more. I found myself chuckling at Meryl special skills.

If I create a new Xbox Live Gamertag and set my birthdate to something that makes me 18+ years old, it will start out as an adult account, right?

They better hope that Lips doesn't have that boxart. Yeesh. Talk about ugly. The mic...yeah...too sparkly for my taste. Especially for a Karaoke game, it'll distract ya, and it might burn ya.

Played a bit of Devil May Cry 4 again. Beat Level 3 on SOS, actually died. I didn't use my Gold Orb because I want to get the full item accomplishment. I'm very far away on that one. But once I get to Mission 7, I might be able to farm a bit more on that one.

Yes. I got tired of my primary account not being able to download M-Rated Demos, so I just made a Silver Account that was over 18 and download the demos with that account.

Played some MGO and saw Markman on! He's pretty good and after every round, I always hoped you were on my team because I'd rather not have to fight against you.
 
Zone of Enders continues to get awesome. There's something very satisfying about picking up your enemy, hurling them at another enemy and destroying them both.

I am trying to figure out what I want to buy from play-asia.com

I got both Hellboy animated movies and a decent sized Hellboy figure for $23. It makes me want to play Hellboy of War on my 360.
 
forgot to mention a few hours ago I came back from Hellboy 2. Don't take anything in it seriously and it's a very fun movie. plus if you're a fan of the characters from the book, it's worth it.

on a side note it's weird seeing Seth McFarlane (aka Stewie from Family Guy) do the voice of my favorite character in the universe.
 
So Godfather Wii and WarioWare Smooth Moves could be had for $14 at Circuit City through tomorrow.

I played a good 10 hours or so of Godfather and really enjoyed the controls, but I'm not really a big fan of sandbox games - is there anything remotely unique to Godfather that I wouldn't have seen early on that would ultimately make me want to finish it unlike every other game in the genre?

WarioWare is fun for groups, I imagine, can't see how it would be full of fun for me and my wife (but mostly just me) alone.
 
yeah, wario ware smooth moves is the worst in the series. it's the one that feels the least complete and most shallow and not fun. I had it for a month and got rid of it. This is coming from a guy who owns all the portable versions and played them to death. if you have yet to get twisted, that still stands as the best in the series.
 
I might get some PS3 games this weekend with the new coupon.. Not really sure yet what. Maybe Ridge Racer 7 and Burnout Paradise? (My roomate wants the 360 copy I bought) and Civ Rev whenever my reward zone certificates come through. I'm really excited to get it, but I'm strictly waiting until those $15 come through!

I thought about uncharted but I have it from Gamefly, and it's likely to get a $30 price drop soon, along with Ratchet and Resistance whenever Sony does their greatest hits lineup.

Maybe Grid if I can find it used.. Did Lair ever get any better after they added normal controls?

One last Edit: I'm adding some of you guys who play MGO to my PSN list, so don't be confused when DioMustaine comes knocking. I love MGO- Just need to get my password/konami ID/whatever the fuck retrieved because I forgot it.

only PS3 game I want that's a retail game out now is Uncharted... but I'm just waiting till it gets a trophy update anyway... everything else is just PSN or XBLA stuff.
 
Heavenly Sword is a decent rental game with an awful final boss. Motorstorm is stupid and reptitive but really fun, especially for listening to podcasts while playing/not thinking.

UT3 is worth it too, if more people were playing.
 
yeah, I want UT3 too, but I'm in no hurry.


Just tried out Phantasy Star Portable... it's actually alot better than the console version even though they are nearly the same. The fact that it's impossible to get lost (unlike the console version) makes it a million times better... plus the limited controls improve the game alot like how the one analog stick actually made Monster Hunter better on PSP.

it's another PSP game I can sink 100s of hours into like monster hunter, and I really like that. If it gets a stateside release I'll be getting it day 1 (please announce it at E3 sega!).... I'll be posting impressions in my blog in a bit.

Kewl, Tales DS is looking pretty good. The battle sequences look a bit GBA-ish, but I'm still somewhat hype for it

I'm almost thru DMC4 on Human. I'm on the last stage. Still haven't died once, so when I up the difficulty level, I'm hopeful that I can make it thru without too much trouble. Took me awhile to get used to Dante, and he's really a much better swordsman than Nero, but I still love the hell out of that Devil Bringer arm.
 
I still have to play the Dante parts in DMC4. Good idea--I might pick it up again tonight.

I got so used to using Devil Bringer, that it felt awkward not having it.
 
Yeah, it was awkward at first. The sucky part is they throw him at you and then give you a time-limited stage to get used to him, which I thought was bad design, IMO.

I need to play more MGO.

Bayonetta? (or whichever the PS3/360 action game by Platinum Games is...)

I hope it's that good as well. Both DMC and NG failed on some level (or several levels in NG's case) this gen...bring on a new hardcore action IP to milk into the ground PLX.
