... Really? For some reason I was under the impression that they were indie.
Gameloft and Ubisoft aren't the same company they are separate companies but are owned by the same group. And ya, I wouldn't consider Gameloft indie in the slightest.
... Really? For some reason I was under the impression that they were indie.
Yep. They're Ubisoft's mobile wing, founded and run by two of Ubisoft's founders, and make games from most Ubisoft properties on the iPhone along with some original stuff.
If I can do it, you can do it.

I really had it done in about 2 hours, cause I was nervous. However, my chip hadn't been fully programmed for the dual strike board, so I ended up exchanging it. The exchanged board had a fried chip. :( After a ton of troubleshooting, the guy who makes TEasy boards sent me more chips for the dual strike... I changed that out and my stick works great.

Phreakazoid and bencao were supposedly making an all in one board. Not sure if they finished it or not yet.
I looked at the instructions and they seem pretty damn straightforward. Only 'difficult' piece looks like the disconnect/stripping of the usb cable.

Hmm... I see, so you're working for one of the big boys then? Huh, oh well, I don't really know much about companies who generally produce mobile games. Man, I need to get myself a job at one of those places to get some real experience.

On another note... 3s online is going to be fun.

If any of you fuckers pick chun-li, I will go berserk on your ass.

Sometimes I pick Chun-Li, though I've not really played her in 3s.
3S looks awesome! When does that come out? Got dibbies on Bison!
No Bison in 3s, only "classic" chars are Ryu, Ken, Akuma and Chun-li. No release time frame yet.
Sometimes I pick Chun-Li, though I've not really played her in 3s.
Pick Chun and you die!

In 3s I played Akuma, but the only version of 3s I played was the one in Street Fighter Anniversary for the PS2, and I didn't have very many people to play fighters with. Maybe I'll try one of the other non low-tier characters when it comes out.

The PS2 version is the one that was used at EVO, so that one's legit. Akuma's actually not bad, I'd love an Akuma to fight. Here's the tier list for anybody who cares:

S+ - Chun-Li
S - Yun
A+ - Ken, Dudley
A - Makoto, Yang
A- - Urien, Akuma, Ryu, Oro
B+ - Hugo
B - Elena, Ibuki, Alex
C - Necro, Twelve, Remy, Q
D - Sean

Fair warning, 3s is a lot different from HDR or SFIV. I'm assuming most of you played at least one of those. I'm still learning stuff about 3s. @_@
I'd play as the worst character. Just to show how awesome I am
And have an excuse for losing

You could also ask for help, I'm sure me or hank would be willing to tell you what we know.

Oh yeah, totally, bro. I will teach you how to mash with Elena and win. Top tier pro skillz.

GGPO 3S is tons of fun, so hopefully 3S Online has similar netcode. PLEASE NO BACKBONE :bomb:

I'll then follow up with a lesson on how to consistently win using only normals.

Hopefully 3s online has the same netcode, just less ghetto. They better not fuck this one up in any way.

I might just do that...if I get the game.

I could have sworn it was a mandatory purchase for everybody on PSN and XBL.

Well you know I'm not really a street fighter fan...I prefer stuff like GG and BB or Mortal Kombat...

Is there a release date for it yet?

That sucks! I love my Bison! Guess I'll play Dudley, then.

You also said you've never played 3s before, this one isn't like SF2 or the SF2 wannabe (SFIV). No release date yet.
That sucks! I love my Bison! Guess I'll play Dudley, then.
Oh hell no, I'm the one playing Dudley! I play him in both this game and SSFIV!
Personally I thought a fair amount of new characters for 3s were fairly stupid, and the ones that had interesting visual design all sucked, like Q and Twelve. Of the other new ones I liked Elena, Makoto, and Ibuki; most of the others just seemed horribly generic looking or just stupid looking.
Say what now? I can see how you'd find some of them stupid looking, I do too, but generic?

That is true. And since you speak of it so highly I'm probably willing to give it a shot.
Say what now? I can see how you'd find some of them stupid looking, I do too, but generic?
Yun and Yang seemed really generic to me, as did Remy save for the hair color, and Alex and Sean were also fairly generic.

If you thought I loved BBCS...

3s >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> BBCS

Meh, to each their own I suppose. It's just when you compare them to past SF chars, they're very unique, lol.

I'm intrigued...yet suspicious

And it turns out if my PS3 was working I could have played BBCS with you. My roommate has it and I never noticed..
Meh, to each their own I suppose. It's just when you compare them to past SF chars, they're very unique, lol.
I mean the only other SF chars that are older are SF2 (let's just ignore the original), and in that game each character felt for the most part like they were representative of their country. In SF3 it feels like they are about the same simplicity in design (for the most part) but not really focused on representing their country (and/or just totally weird).
Either the combat sucks in Castlevania or I suck at the combat. Either way, I had to move it to :baby: mode.
I thought the combat was pretty good. There were a few enemies that were annoying though, so can't blame you. I played it about halfway through on hard then switched to normal when i started getting annoyed.

There was no SF before SF2 ... 'kay? LOL! Yea, SF2 went more for the stereotypical character design, which I would categorize under generic imo. While I do agree that 3s has a generic design or two, it's nothing really noteworthy imo. I'd pick out maybe Elena and Shaun as the generic ones, the others seem fairly unique. Their fighting styles are definitely unique at least, even if some of them feel more like "spiritual successors" to older characters.

Remember, in SF2, every person from the US is either blond hair blue eye Aryan power or greedy and ghetto as fuck black power. ^__^

That being said, I like the 3S roster just because it's not the same dudes over again. SFIV said "Let's take the Super Turbo roster and just add some more stereotypes."

Bah, i think my old PSP is on it's way out. I have to play around with the cord to get it to charge. Maybe I'll hold off and see if they make any more PSP bundles....or just grab that Peacewalker Bundle(I really like that color for some reason).

I was just about to start Alpha Protocol since I have a few days off. But my copy of Ghost trick just arrived so I think I'll go play that for now.

I'll give you Sean, since he's just an urban Shoto, but Elena is actually great for a Japanese made game. She's just a tall ass Kenyan Capoeira user, but the fact that she doesn't have a watermelon eating win pose or chucks spears as projectiles is definitely something special, considering how off Japan can be with African characters.

SFIV was like SF2 + some SF3 + some SF:Alpha series + a couple new dudes.

Fixed. Remember SFIV? Super Turbo + new dudes, no Alpha or 3S until SSFIV.

Sakura, Rose, and Dan were in SFIV, all from Alpha. I'll admit the original had no 3s.

Oh yeah, Console characters. I forgot. ^___^

:grouphug:

They barely counted though, since they were pretty weak. Except Dan because he's top tier.
