Frost, Where do I buy the TEasy and Dual Strike boards shown in this guide The whole fighting game community is a wee bit new to me.
TEasy thread:

Dual Strike thread:

Ordering TEasy:

Ordering Dual Strike:
http://arcadeforge.de/

You can also use ChImp board, instead of Dual Strike:
http://www.lizardlick.com/Toodles-ChimpSMD_p_584.html

Currently looks like TEasy is out of stock.
Clayton was talking to me about possibly combining forces with Jochen and making an all in one TEasy/DS board... it says an announcement is coming soon on phreakmods.com, so you'd probably do well to wait for the announcement; especially since the chimp SMD board is out of stock at lizardlick as well.
Then it sounds like I should wait and get it for less than $20.99...
Yes.

Awesome, thanks frosty. I'll hold off for now since the TEasy boards are out of stock.

BS, if you get Dead Nation, I'll run co-op with you sometime.
The reasons I get annoyed with it are pretty trivial, but FYI:
(1) I'm playing on Grim and thus all zombies do a good fucking deal of damage. Since everything is dark as fuck, I'll be walking along and a zombie will sneak up on me out of the darkness and then i'm either dead or mostly dead.
(2) The standard rifle, which has infinite ammo, has no auto-fire function, like the other guns, and since it's my primary weapon, I get tired of jamming on r1 to fire.
(3) They're slick about hiding treasure. I get irritated when I think I've gotten all of it and I find out I missed a ton. Also, I get pissy when I'm shooting off in the distance and all the sudden a car is on fire and ready to explode before I can loot it.

But overall, I'm having a good time with it. I need to use my flamethrower more; it's almost max power now.

Anyone who's played the game -- what should I be using my cash to upgrade? I find that I'm an item whore and I like the items more than most of the alt weapons. I think I have the smg/shotgun/flamethrower. Standard rifle is maxed, flamethrower is almost maxed, SMG and shotgun have a few upgrades, but aren't even halfway complete in any category. I've got all items at max capacity for inventory but I'm not maxed on their stats entirely.

I've just finished mission 4.

Tomorrow's gonna be awesome! Going to celebrate my brother's birthday at Chili's and the head to Hastings for some great $1 comics! :D

Man, looking through all the characters in MvC3, I'm really hoping that they'll add Bison through DLC.

Played some more Dragon age. I'm like 28 hours in now. On the part in the Dwarven city now. Did several side quests there, and a few of the main quest parts.

I've already done the Redcliffe part and the elves parts, and a shit ton of side quests, and I think all the DLCs that are done within the main game.

I'm digging it a lot, though it hasn't grabbed me like some other WRPGs like Mass Effect, Oblivion, Fallout etc. did in the sense that I just play a night or two a week where as those games sucked me in and ate up all my free time.

The Dwarven ordeal drags on for EVER.
Not as bad as the fade, but definitely my second least favorite ordeal in that game.

It did last forever. Everytime I thought I was done there was something else. Made me use my not amused face.

Yeah, I've already had 2 or 3 times I thought it was probably done. Hasn't annoyed me yet though as I don't mind these kind of quests. The fade part was annoyed as it was a lot of wandering back and forth and figuring out where to go, what order to go to the different segments etc. At least this has been clear about what needs done.

I didn't mind the Dwarf part of Dragon Age too much, it was a little long, but I liked how parts of it really immersed you in the Dwarven society.

I can honestly say I'm not at all interested in over half of the Capcom side, my favorites out of everyone right now though are: Magneto (probably one of my favorite Marvel characters), Phoenix, She-Hulk, Arthur, Zero, and Tron Bonne. If Hsien-Ko gets announced I'd probably consider her too. Not sure how good of a team I'll be able to make with that group (and hopefully there will be minimal characters that require holds for specials because I never really learned how to not make that blatantly obvious).

I hope they announce B.B. Hood as future DLC (even though if Hsien-Ko is in they already have a lot of Dark Stalkers). Psylocke would be awesome too.

I'm not too interested in the Capcom side aside from Dante, Joe, and Haggar. My favorites in the game so far are probably Dante, Thor, Magneto, Wolverine, Zero, Jill, Wesker, and Spidey.

I'm with you on Psylocke, I'd even buy her if they released her for DLC. I wish they'd beefed up the Capcom side, though, I'd love if they released Bison, Strider, Leon Kennedy, and Captain Commando as DLC. Nero, too, but I'm doubtful of that.

All I know is, I want Dormammu on my team. Dude looks like he knows how to control space really well. For characters I'd love to see just because I'm a fan... I'd want Phoenix Wright or Edgeworth.

Also, I wouldn't mind seeing Ryu or Nina from one of the Breath of Fire games, or Fou-Lu from Breath of Fire IV.

I didn't mind the deep roads. I love the dwarven society in the game, so it was good times for me. The reason I hated the fade is due to how it's structured. I don't mind if a section is long as long as I'm still enjoying it.

You know Capcom put Dreads Nathan Spencer in the game rather than blonde Spencer just so that they can charge me money for that costume when it comes out. Knowing me, Ill buy it too.

You guys say Capcom side is lacking, I think Marvel side is lacking some depth (except Super SKRULL!). Hawkeye (and ultimate version too!), Black Bolt (would be cool to see him in action since his voice is his power), Emma Frost, and Mystique would have sealed the deal.

Viewtiful Joe, Arthur and Dante makes the Capcom side scream fan service. Only one that needs to go is Zero. Who the fuck cars about Zero? I would have taken MegaMan Network Battle over Zero. Phoenix Wright needs to be in this game.

Upgrade your explosives, Frosty. You can get more stock for them, more damage, and the mines will be able to last for a few explosions, which can help for crowd control.

Can't wait for the PSP2 reveal at the end of the month.
Sweet handheld goodness.

I just want to see what kind of graphics it's capable of more than the actual design really.

love my PSP so I'm looking forward to 27th.

Anything in terms of portable gaming is what I'll love... I still don't know my reasons other than my first personal console being a gameboy.

I always question why people would want Emma Frost in a fighting game...she's not exactly a fighter and telepathy doesn't lend itself to specials.

The only thing I could think of for her is spending super bars to go into diamond form, where she can't use specials, but gets increased strength and defense.

They could definitely come up with unique ways for her to use her telepathy as well as her diamond form. I'd take her over quite a few of the characters they have in there now.

(1) I didn't really like all the back and forth and having to continually talk to people in the political struggle. Once that was over and you hit the deep roads, it was better and I liked the potential resolutions from the choice you have to make.

(2) I'm with you. Out of the Capcom characters, including rumoured, the only one who I realllly like is Dante. I can say I have a half interest in Zero, Amaterasu, and Viper/Chun-Li, and Dormammu. The rest... well, those I don't outright hate are pretty "eh" to me. Currently my team is: Dante, xxx, xxx -- I don't like anyone else enough to pick them yet, including the Marvel side.

(3) I think Talbain will be the first on the list of Darkstalkers, as Niitsuma said he was pretty much next on the list of DS characters but they decided they didn't quite have room for him. He's pretty high up in most of the fan DLC polls too.

Strider and Nero would be awesome. Bison I can take or leave... and I'd assume that Leon would be too similar to Chris and Captain Commando is probably out because of Viper being in, since she has a lot of similar specials/assists potentially.

I love Dormammu's look and his moveset seems cool, but doesn't seem to mesh with my play style. He seems too big and slow and hard to be aggressive with... though I may just slot him in as potential team member #2 and if he's too Blackheart-ish for me (another tall/big character that seemed to move slow), I'll have to give up on him. :|

(2) I'd love to see Hawkeye. Ms. Marvel, Nightcrawler, Venom, Green Goblin -- they all seem like they would have been awesome to see as well.

(3) I like Zero. Once he showed up in the X games, I always wanted to play as him instead of X.

I noticed that. I think I have max inventory on all explosives/items... I have 4 stars on probably all of the upgradeable stats for them too, except flare duration may be maxed.

Also, anyone have armor recommendations? I should probably learn what the 3 different stats do for me...

You've probably got a decent shot at the first 2. Well, that is if Jin's licensing doesn't get in the way (much the same could be said about me and my hope for Strider). CapCom -- he's probably less likely thanks to Viper.

While I'm not a Marvel guy... I mean I like comics, I'm just not as huge a comic geek as I am a game nerd ()... That said, I don't remember much of the difference in the stories... I just think I liked the good appearance/powers better than the evil ones from what I remember.

I really wish we'd get an inkling about the MvC3 DLC plans in terms on # of characters and costs before it releases.

I'd hate to buy the game only to have the DLC characters push the price to over $100.

It's bad enough we need to buy the SE to get the complete roster on 2/15.

What makes buying MvC3 stuff over the next year even more painful is the inevitable Super MvC3 GOTY edition that will release in 2012 for $40. :bomb:

2 and 3 I totally agree with! I totally forgot I wanted Ms. Marvel in the game! I'd much rather play as her than She-Hulk.

And why is everyone thinking they won't release CapCom as DLC? This is Capcom we're talking about, don't you think they'd release a similarly playing character just to make money? Because I know that I'd definitely buy him.

Sony's saying PSP2 as powerful as PS3?!?

It's possible but dubious. PSP =/= PS2 and they were released 5 years apart, so we may get PS3-ish games on it.

Yeah, none the less pretty good though. I like how Kessler is trying to form you up to what you need to be throughout both stories, how he's disappointed in me afterwards and I say i'm going to rip him limb from limb, almost at the ending, just need about 20% more of the historic district before I finish up.

At least with Strider, he's jointly owned.
"Strider Hiryu (ストライダー飛竜?) is a fictional character jointly owned by Capcom and Moto Kikaku."
For some reason, I thought Jin Saotome was the same way.

Also, if you get the SE, most indication is that you don't get the complete roster early, you still have to wait 4 weeks to download Jill/Shuma.

The worst part of platinuming that game was (1) the blast shards and (2) doing all the stunts. There's one stunt that's a fucking pain in the ass to get and if you miss your chance, you need to keep circling this one building and reloading and hoping the 3 dudes reappear. :(

Yeah I didn't care at all about he political crap with the Dwarves. I sided with the Prince solely because his representative was the first one I ran into.

The going back and forth is a bit tedious--but that's the norm in this game and pretty much all WRPGs. Go do a quest/side quest, return to the care giver. Only difference here is you keep going back to the same person thinking you're done and get another task.

One difference here, vs. Mass Effect, is I don't care that much about being consistent with my dialogue and decisions. They don't seem to have as much impact, and at the least, it's not as obvious without having a paragon/renegade type of tracking system.

Are they adding something like that to DA2?

Really?

The only thing I liked better about MW2's campaign is they got rid of the infinite spawning enemy sections (which Treyarch unforutnately brought back for Black Ops :bomb:).

Other than that MW1's campaign and story were quite a bit better I though. Though I though MW2 was very good as well, and got too much crap in reviews and forum impressions.
