Holy shit, seriously not kidding about how awesome Spiderman: WoS is. Maybe it's because I never played the highly praised Spiderman 2, but I really feel like WoS is the best Spiderman game. Controls are so fluid, beating up thugs, collecting spider emblems and swinging around New York is so mindless and enjoyable. My only gripe with it so far is Spidey's voice, really wish I could replace it with Neil Patrick Harris's voice from Shattered Dimensions

Oh I remember when I played that.
Wolverines fight was probably the best, and the evil ending is the way to go

Jump cancels, how fun! You're holding down too long if you get a spinning bird kick.

WoS is the first spiderman game with decent combat as far as I'm concerned and is still the best one solely because of that.

So yea, I booted up the bulletstorm demo for both systems to see which I should get it for. It crashed on the 360 then wouldn't play sound the next time. Damn, this made it really easy for me to decide. Hell, I even re-downloaded the er since last time.

I liked WoS better than Shattered Dimensions as well. The controls just felt better to me. In Shattered Dimensions I was always flying around willy nilly. Combat is way better too.

I know nothing of WoS, but that's probably because I lost interest after hating Spiderman 2.
And how do I hold down for less time? I'm pushing down when I hit the first L and only holding it until I transfer to hold up forward after the H when I hit the L. It's 98% SBK.
I tried tapping down with each crouching input but that's so ing annoying and not practical at all for real match play.
In all seriousness, sounds like your 360 is gonna bite the dust.
Considering this is the only demo/game it has ever done this with so far, I'd doubt it. It eventually will, but no way in hell it'll happen this soon. After some looking around it looks like I wasn't the only one having problems with it.

Odd, I don't find myself holding down long enough to get a spinning bird kick. Probably has nothing to do with it but are you canceling the attack with the jump and pressing light at the same time?

I really love WoS too, but I thought the voice acting added to it because it made a lot of scenes hilariously corny. The combat was really fun even if the game was overall fairly easy.

Actually, I think it's Ultimate Spider-Man>Web of Shadows>Spidey 2 when it comes to the web swinging. If you haven't played Ultimate and get a hankering for an older game, you should play it I agree though, the voice was really the only big problem I had with Web of Shadows.

A game about symbiotes and nothing BUT symbiotes and you're saying it's a spoiler that you fight Venom? And I just said Black Cat parts, you meet her super early on.
The last part you were totally right about, though. I meant to spoiler that part.
Edit: took out the spoilers. Venom's on the cover.

I can do cr.H > j.L > j.M > j.M > j.H and then drop the SRK.H. However, I didn't see the point in continuing the jump cancel practice if I couldn't hit the opening to the combo into it (from a mission mode standpoint).
Spiderman's number 4 is probably the most ridiculous mission under the number 6. Chun-Li's jump cancel is #2 for me. Though I finally got the Spidey one.

Remind me when I get home to try it, there's probably a trick to it that I forgot about.
I finished Young Avengers and it was also awesome just like you said Joel. It also fit in really well with the other comics I've been reading since it occurs right around House of M, and they mentioned Runaways in one panel.
I love Young Avengers Hawkeye she is so bad ass.
I'm was also really happy about the Wiccan and Hulkling love story, the coming out scene with the parents was so great; I wish all parents could be that accepting.
Although the original plan of having Hulkling being genderless (i.e. a male in Hulkling form but a female in human form, plus I mean he can shapeshift anyways), and Wiccan coming to terms with his own sexuality sounded really interesting too; kind of sad they didn't go with that.

I really like Hawkeye, too. She has a really good mechanic with Patriot. As for the whole Hulkling thing, I think it's better they didn't do that, because if they did it would've been too much like Xavin from Runaways to me (I know it'd make sense because they're Skrulls, though) since Hulkling wasn't raised as a Skrull, having a female form while he's human would probably be kind of weird for him. There are more Young Avengers books, too! And they're trying to get an ongoing series up and running right now, so there's still a chance they could do some more character growth with Wiccan and Hulkling.

I didn't get to that in Runaways I should really read more of that, I've only read the Volume 1 hardcover, but I can't find hardcovers or complete trade paperbacks online for regular price and I really don't want to read those tiny little readers digest books. I might check some local comic shops and see if any of them have them before I spend the money for the jacked up prices online. Actually, it seems like I can probably still get it as individual comics online from Midtown Comics for not too bad a price so I might go that route.

Oh seriously? That's awesome then! You really hit the nail on the head with EXACTLY what happens with this Skrull in the Runaways, it's a girl in human form and a guy when in battle form.
If you find that you really enjoy the other Runaways stuff then you should check out the Young Avengers/Runaways crossovers for Civil War and Secret Invasion, they are FANTASTIC. Especially the Secret Invasion one.
Web of Shadows had some crazy bad framerate issues for me.
PS3 or 360? Well... both had a bad framerate, but they were still fun.
Web of Shadows had some crazy bad framerate issues for me.
I don't remember a bad framerate of what I played on the PS3, but I don't really think I was paying much attention because I actually got Web of Shadows by accident when insurance was replacing stuff that got stolen when my apartment was broken into a couple years ago (lost my laptop, my PS3, my PSP, some PC games that were in my laptop case, and Disgaea because it was in my PSP and Spider-Man 3 because it was in the PS3), basically they were supposed to give me Spider-Man 3 which I won when Activision came to talk about career opportunities at our school and that game sucked so I wasn't going to argue with the insurance company when they sent Web of Shadows instead. And since I had been playing Spider-Man 3 I didn't really expect much from Web of Shadows, but I was actually blown away because the game was good.
EDIT: Kind of funny the police did finally call me (well actually they called one of my other roommates first who gave them my new number) about half a year ago to let me know that they had finally found part of my computer, just the power supply and they thought the rest was probably shipped out of the country to Mexico apparently so it was probably unrecoverable. And they wanted to know if I wanted the power supply, but I told them that insurance had already covered everything and I didn't really need just the power supply to a laptop so I told them they were free to do whatever they wanted with it.
Also ihadFG your jumping Clover gif is mesmerizing.
That sucks. Slowdown is super depressing to me. Probably because I've played PC all my life and whenever you see your frames drop it's like a shot to your pride.

I demand a PC version from Capcom. They already have MT Framework running on PCs, port that bitch!
360 version's actually worse, it has slowdown AND tearing. #
I knew the game had tearing (I've seen it myself while playing), didn't know about the slowdown. I thought Capcom knew what they were doing. Apparently not.

My mom found this store in Miami that is owned by a church, they get stuff from stores that doesn't sell right away or overstocks, and sell it for 50-75% off.
She also got (all sealed for 10$) Brutal Legend, Dark Void, KUF: circle of doom, Eternal Sonata (PS3), and then WCP: All In, and some coach football game for 5$... there could be more but that's all i can remember off hand.. i posted them in the flea market thread cuz there isn't really a "Church store" thread lol
also I was really bummed out because my mom got there late and they had already sold a bunch, like halo reach, halo 3, gears 2, and some others.. i would have bought just to trade in lol
I got that combo, uraizen. Thanks for the pointers. Currently fighting with the qcb.2attack > air combo with legs mission. ^_^
Listed my 2 SE codes for Marvel SE on eBay for $30 or best offer (considering they retail for $20 plus tax, I can hope to at least get what they're worth). Hope it sells.
And I can confirm that if you try to put the code in prior to 3/15 it currently says the code is not valid.

Good, good.
I have received my MvC3 guide and it kicks major ass. I checked Jill's infinite and it's easy as hell to hit confirm into, but it doesn't work on two characters.
What was that amazing Mickey Mouse game from a long time ago? I only have faint memories of watching it, I remember Mickey jumping on flying books or something.
