budge: if you've never played it, look into Chrono Trigger on the DS when it hits in November. It's a JRPG, but one the doesn't have you grind and has an interesting story.
In fact, Chrono Trigger is setup the way every JRPG should be setup (no random battles, no grinding, good characters, some interesting plot devices,
tripple-techs), alas, they continue to make games not tailor-made to my specific tastes.
Started Yakuza 2 last night and spent an hour in the first chapter watching the recap and such. I'm enjoying it. About how much gameplay time should I budget inbetween saves for that? I'm assuming the first chapter was uncommonly filled with cinema and lacking in gameplay. What was there was awesome though. The sound effects make that all so satisfying.
And for Yakuza 2 (or other PS2 games with 16x9), playing on a 20 GB system, is the best bet to set the game to widescreen and then set the PS3 to play in fullscreen? That's still not true 16x9, but I guess it's close.
I might be in for Wipeout sharing, although a few IRL buds might be interested too, so I might have a break-away group!
Kendal, hit me up some time with what I owe you!
