GH:WT plus TWO Wireless Guitars for $110 at Sam's Club

CAG Veteran
Sam's Club has the guitar and game set PLUS the Gibson wireless guitar from GH III for $110. I'm still kicking myself for buying the regular set at Gamestop on Sunday. Oh well. I saw this set for XBOX 360 and PS3.

Wait, I kinda need more info here. What version is it? Is it only in stores and YMMV or store wide? Where was this located? Without this info, it doesn't do the rest of us CAGs any good! :D
Oh its just the gibson? i thought it came with two new guitar hero 4 guitars.
If I've read correctly, GHWT isn't GH4 and GH4 is still planned.

So when Rock Band 1 came out i bought it day one I didn't mind because well it was the first game in the states to include mic, guitar and drums. But then it dropped like 40$ shortly after (the economy wasn't even going down the shitter then). I didn't care because I played the shit out of RB. But now Guitar Hero has drums too (and The Mars Volta on the setlist). And Now 1up is saying the drums are superb on Guitar Hero. So I don't know if I should get GH or RB or neither and wait till th price drops. :bomb:

Definitely get RB2. I've tried out the drums on GH which I thought were the only better option than RB, but they're terrible as well. On the few sets I've played the orange cymbal rarely hit and you had to slam it to get it to register those few times. Also, when you're going for rolls those cymbals sometimes get in the way. Plus, RB has a more solid base of DLC and the songs on GH are almost all already done on RB. I just miss Beat It and Hotel California.

Just wait awhile. Just like RB1, give them a month or so and both games should have better quality drumsets and guitars flowing out. Plus, the two games will probably force each other to drop prices (and Black Friday is coming up)

I just verified this at the Fargo ND Sam's Club. I currently have 2 wired xplorer guitars and a RB1 wired guitar. I was thinking about picking up the regular game/guitar set for $100 just so I could have a wireless guitar. 2 wireless guitars for $10 more sealed the deal for me. I should be able to offload my 3 wired guitars, xplorer guitar bag, and a sealed copy of GH2 on ebay and recoup a portion of the cost. Can't beat that!

BTW, this seems to be a savings of about $10, as I also found this deal at regular Wal Mart, for $120. The wal mart version comes with 20 song downloads from wal mart's mp3 store (not guitar hero dlc).

I also jumped on this deal to get some wireless guitars. The living room is so much nicer now that I have the new RB2 wireless drums and a pair of wireless axes.

FYI: Just came back from Sams...both guitars are GHWT guitars...one has a black faceplate, and the other has the sunburst one. Not the GHIII guitar as the OP states.

ok, because the box CLEARLY shows 1 GHWT guitar and and 1 GHIII guitar, so i guess maybe they changed their mind after the graphic on the box was already drawn up...
GHWT is most certainly GT4.
No, it's not. GHIII is actually the 4th one released, so GH:WT is definitely not. Just like GTA:VC isn't GTA4.

Not sure if your store has a different bundle, but the one I got has a GHWT guitar and a GH3 guitar. The GH3 guitar doesn't have the touchpad.

If it is 2 GHWT guitars, I might just have to do it. I had been assuming that it was 1 GHWT guitar and 1 GHIII guitar, like the bundles I saw on RedOctane's site. That just isn't worth it to me. Did you buy it? Can you post pics with both GHWT guitars? Thanks.
Now I wonder if I overlooked it...I should have payed more attention or taken a pic.
lol i did the same thing with the gh3 bundles

I only seen ones with extra gh3 guitars unfortunately the lost the 360 bundles so none for me
One broken guitar and one awesome guitar!
What guitar could you possibly be talking about? The new GH guitar is getting rave reviews and my GHIII guitar is my current guitar of choice.

i went to Walmart today, and i can say (for a fact) that you get 1 GHWT guitar and 1 GHIII guitar, not 2 GHWT guitars...

and the same thing goes for the Wii dual guitar packs, you get 1 black GHWT guitar and 1 white GHIII guitar...

and i wouldn't say the GHWT guitar is getting RAVE reviews. basically, if you have a GHIII guitar and don't need a new one, than don't get it. if you're really brutal on your equipment, than get the dual guitar pack, because spending an extra $60 for 2 good guitars now is better than spending more for the same thing later on...

I have RB 1, and was planning on getting the GH:WT band kit as well. However, after reading about the drum issues and seeing this post, I'm wondering if I should get this instead and then in a few months when they fix the issues with the drums, just buy the drum kit seperately. If the drums are reasonably priced then it seems like this Sam's club deal + drum kit will cost less than buying a regular band kit. Plus you get the extra guitar.

I bought this at sam's club as well. I plan to pick the drums up later. Even if getting them now it would be $200 for 2 guitars, game and drum kit. If you really actually use the mic pick one up cheap. Only reason to buy the drum bundle would be if you already have a gh guitar.
