i'm probably only going to get one of these...which are you guys getting and why?

EDIT: i might just buy GR2:SS at launch and just wait for a price drop on lockdown...
 
I'll buy RainbowSixLockdown on release since I loved RS3 and Black Arrow. I've never played a Ghost Recon game (I seriously used to ONLY play RainbowSix3) so I'll at the very least rent this Ghost Recon game.

Im getting this game at launch date, and have updated the GR2 clan thread to include the expansion pack :)
 
So.. i'm hearing now that Summit Strike actually ships today and comes out tomorrow.. which sucks because I was about to go get it.. Anyone seen it yet in stores?

isn't that what usually happens? ships on release date, then you can buy it a day after?

yes, but it was originally supposed to ship on 8/1, hence "in stores 8/2".

I'm gonna get Summit Strike, as I never got to play Ghost Recon 2 and because it's cheaper...
 
I just got the Live-enabled RS4 demo in the September OXM, so I'll give you my impressions when I get a chance to play it.
 
It's gotten pretty good reviews from a few sites. Gamespot gave it an 8.2 and Team Xbox gave it an 8.6. Oh, and Yahoo gave it an 8.

I might have to buy this month's issue, as Lockdown is one of the games I look forward to the most this year.

I think GR2 and Summit Strike are both the same price now (at EB atleast) but this one seems to be the better one to get just because it's new. I haven't played any Ghost Recon games, but I think I'll go ahead and buy this in a few days.

i just bought my copy last night...

EDIT: i have now played the game..a little single player and a lot of co-op online

all i have to say is...WOW...i would have paid 40 for this... :D

the online co-op is kickass...probably the best co-op i have played online ever...

you can play the single player missions on live :D

The demo sucks.I do hope they fix the game.Because the speed of this game is making Halo look slow.Its seriously near UTC 2 speed wise
 
Bought a copy today. I'll probably be on it tomorrow night after work.
 
I'm gonna stop by GameRush and pick this up tomorrow. Hopefully this can get me off of Halo 2, and hold me over until RainbowSix Lockdown comes out.
 
I started the training, as I never played the original Ghost Recon(s). Wow. I got a lot to learn...

just to "sway" your decision more...it seems that most of the gr2 players are switching over to summit strike since it costs only 30 bucks

bigc, are you talking about the rainbow six lockdown demo? cuz i heard that sucks too...even on the rainbow 6 boards haha :lol:
 
Yes i was referring to RS4 lockdown.I havent played GR3 im not a big TPS fan so I dont really mess with GR
 
Well, just played the R6 Lockdown demo from OXM and it pretty much sucked. Felt more like an arcade game then a traditional R6 or GR game. Obvious answer right now is GR SS. Having a blast with it so far.

I'm a little stunned by the "errors". The first time I played it, I didn't recieve the infamous "red X" error. But, today, I had the error twice (which is what virtually everyone else has seen).

Also, when swetooth9 and sj41 would send me party invites, I'd either get the "red X" or it would send me to the multiplayer sign in screen.

I gave up on it for the night...

I wouldn't mind doing some Co-Op...but I always end up with people who sit there and goof off the entire time which makes the game suck. But yeah, if you want to play seriously, then I'll hop on board..just talk to me in the Raw chat tonight if you're up for it.
 
I just picked up Summit Strike it rules! I also have GR2 I thought that game ROCKED HARD! So summit strike being only $29 was a no brainer! Dude they both rule. GO UBI SOFT!:cool: :applause:
