Ghost Recon: AW Reviews & Discussion
That's the crap I've been getting. Appearently you have to change your NAT settings from Moderate or Strict to Open or get a compatible router. They are listed on xbox.com
Well, we tried about six more times and it finally let us play. It was very odd.

Thats cool.

I've been playing around with my settings for a couple days. I'll check again tonight to see how it turns out.

It takes a while for me to get a good game to play but when I do, it's fucking awesome, I can't stress how fun the multi is! I can't wait to get paid in a week to buy some XBL Gold FINALLY

I love the singleplayer mode, multi is horrible. takes forever to find the game then takes another 5 min for the game to end then with my shitty luck i get boot out of the server then all over again, i hope they improve multiplayer with some patching to make connection and serching go faster. probably pc version going to be way better!!!

Anyone know what stats have the most effect on the points system in SP? I only noticed it the other day in "Statistics" and I was down to -200 at one point. Probably didn't help that I'd restart some missions to replay cinemas and moments.

Other than that though I tend to do the whole leapfrog system with my squadmates, but I don't just lay back and let them take care of the enemies. I peek around a corner to look for exposed rebels and when it's clear send them to a corner and I follow. I'd just like to get an understanding of the points system and if it even has an effect on anything.

Get a cool group of people to play with and this is probably one of the best games on Live. If you want add me to your friends list. I have a pretty decent sized group that likes to get together and play co-op and versus. When I host connection issues aren't a problem.

hell yeahzzz
No. The grenade launcher was a secondary ammo for the gun. I still had a handgun as well.
Thats in SP, in MP you don't get the handgun.

Yeah. I never said I had one in multiplayer. I was playing single player.

Haha, I know. That is what the guy who replied to you was referring to.

Finished the game yesterday on normal................now it's time to finish it on Hard. I haven't played too much MP just yet but I hope to.

Fantastic game. I never played any of the other Ghost Recon games so I bought it blind based on the footage I had seen and partially the hype around it, and I'm not at all let down. I really didn't want to burn through this game but I couldn't help it. Played the single player twice now and finished all of the co-op missions (I can't wait until they release the inevitable co-op chapter 2) so now I'm diving into the other MP types. Deathmatch really makes me ache for a keyboard and mouse (It just feels right damn it) but otherwise I have no real complaints with this game.

I love how the game auto saved me with the lowest possible health and has basically made the next segment impossible. I'm fuckin pissed.

You could just restart the mission. Is that the Chapultapek mission right after you have to do the helo part? The first time I did that I got hit twice and it made the mission nearly impossible. I just restarted and the next time I finished the helo part I had full health.

Yeah it's the one where your hud gets screwy in the forest, I really don't feel like doing all the same stuff again, I just used the code for health it was damn near impossible to do.

Finished the single player on normal earlier. I was a little disappointed in the final battle. I was hoping there'd be one more level like in GR2 where you have to hold off a huge mass of enemies. And the squadmates just become dumb towards the end. Just plain fucking dumb.

That said, I'm gonna go through in Hard again. Really loved the urban stuff. Anyone else wishing they'd do a Black Hawk Down game like this? Only without the squad controls. I'd love some missions in that sort of environment.

LOLS the AI is so stupid, U tell them to go behind a wall one will always stick his stupid ass out and when u order attack instead of attacking from cover they run into the open and stay there. however............

the ghost arent essential except for taking out armor if u dont have a grenade launcher so it realy isnt too big a deal.

ERRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR but yeah ONline browser still slooooooooooowwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww
slow slow
LOLS the AI is so stupid, U tell them to go behind a wall one will always stick his stupid ass out and when u order attack instead of attacking from cover they run into the open and stay there. however............
Indeed. Was hoping they'd be smarter closer to the corner tactics you see in FSW.

The last mission can be a pain in the ass if you try to actually use them. There's a part when you have to get up on top of a roof and hold off enemies with the help of a BlackHawk. You get to a roof surrounded by snipers, but instead of taking cover as you instruct them, they stand in the middle of the roof away from cover and get shot up. Dumb motherfuckers.

I never had a major problem with the AI of my team. One would occasionally stand out in plain sight but that was when I had them on Assault and not Recon. They actually helped me alot in the last misson by keeping the fire steady to give me a chance and take the snipers and soldiers out in the buildings across from us.

That mission you mention being on the roof Steve, I didn't even use my team on that one. First I went to the end of the map by a building and I noticed a Helo and is turned red so I told them to shoot it, boom one objective down. So when I got to the roof I just stayed on the steps and pointed out the other helo to the Apache, done!. Then I just finished the remaining snipers and soldiers with the Apache as well.

The AI on my team is INCREDIBLY dumb. I'm playing the tank mission and I had my guys on Recon, and they run out in front of two m50's, a tank and three other soldiers....just out in the open. LA DE DA! All three of em got killed and I had to heal them. DUMB!

Yeah, after having my teammates get killed due to their own stupidity in that mission, I just left them on the steps and had the BlackHawk shoot everyone as I stayed in cover. At least the chopper support is pretty smart.

I like when I tell my teammates to heal a downed partner and they decide to run forward, take cover and fire at nothing.

yeah ai in graw isnt the best but if they were lil bit too smart game would be too easy, i think they are called ghost cuz they are buncha nobodies except jeff michell haha. but i still love this game.

This was a funny looking glitch, I would have taken better pictures, but it was one of those levels where your HUD gets the distorted and the building I was in was about to blow up. I barely got out of there with 1 second to spare because of these pictures:
Here I am on the 3rd floor.
You notice just a head on the floor right?

Here's the rest of his body on the 2nd floor:

I had the whole level fall up from underneath me....................so I actually was underneath everything. Nothing really cool since I couldn't move but you could see most of the map and still throw grenades. If you just dropped a grenade it would zip across the floor.

I feel llike a fool not realizing you could turn off all the diamonds off in single player by just holding X down and hightlighting the diamond that pops up. I definitely recommend doing this for things like the helicopter fights and some of the slower points with sniping, makes the game much more enjoyable.

I have a problem that is bugging the hell out of me and I hope you guys can help.

I have been playing through the game again on hard and have reached, I think,"Clear the Way" the level where you are on the rooftops and have to destroy the roadblocks from the roofs. I can go through the level easy enough but that stupid 3rd tank isn't moving and doesn't reach the last objective location. So I can't finish the mission. What am I doing wrong and is there a way to individually get that one tank to move?? It happened to me once while playing it on normal but I restarted the mission and it made it on it's own. I have restarted and played through this mission so many times now I can't stand it, just to find out I can't finish it.

Are you killing all the enemy soldiers along the way? It's the obvious answer, but it happened to me. The tank couldn't kill one soldier so it just sat there.

I killed everybody and blew up the trucks myself. I would get the end of the level but the grey area wouldn't turn red so I couldn't go to the end of the mission.

Fortunately, I let the game and system rest overnight and I passed it this morning. I didn't even move the tanks to the end of the mission this time and that 3rd one still didn't move, but when the final objective appeared on the map I stopped the tanks where they were and just went on myself. It worked so I'm happy.

looks like my controller ports or receivers just blew. I have 2 wireless controllers and neither send/receive a signal to/from the 360. Wierd thing is that when I press the :360: button the system turns on but after that...........nothing. Has anybody had this problem and/or know how to fix it?? Or am I screwed and have to send it in?

I jumped online today for a quick game, and was instantly reminded why I hate playing XBL games with strangers. I get into a Solo Elimination game, and I'm on an elevated path, and 2 guys are shooting at me, one from behind, and one from the front. The front man is a moderate distance away, so I go into a full on Superman dive, hit the deck, and take him out. I then get to the crouch position and quickly wheel around and take out the other dude, who apparently, cannot aim to save his life. And what do I get for all this? Why, they boot me off the server, of course!

Are there any GRAW plays on CAG who play regular matches I can jump into. I'm not super competitve, so I wouldn't wanna join the clan though. My tag is Pierre LaFoon.

thread is getting pretty long... but anyways..

Is there any way to get third person view when playing two players co-op (on the same xbox 360) ... ? Even if I toggle the setting it puts both players in first person mode.....

I'm guessing to save processing power.. one might not be able to have two players on the same screen in third person ?

Nope. This is good for smaller screen though, because your body would block alot.

I finished the single player campaign last night....it was damn fun. I'll jump on LIVE and play more or I will move on to my backlog of games.

I finished the single player today. It was pretty good, but I guess I was a bit disappointed that it wasn't longer as I clocked in at 9 1/2 hours. I'm not entirely crazy about the multiplayer so I'm not really sure how much replay value I'm going to get out of this one...

ok, if this has been asked point me in the way

but i'm having a heckuva time with the training...yes the training...when it tells me to stick to the wall, switch sides, peek over, and shoot, I do all of that. And it just keeps telling me to peek over and shoot. Now I'm shooting those 2 ammo boxes. I've tried this like 10 times and 2 times the guy in the chopper came on and told me to go on. The rest of the time it just keeps telling me to peek over and shoot.

Am I doing this wrong? Anyone else?

I believe that you have to destroy all boxes. Keep an eye out for them and see if there are anymore. I havent played the training in a while. I'll see if I can try it again later and I'll let you know if you havent gotten it yet.

Question on obtaining the "Co-Op achievement Level 1-1 PERFECT"

How do you get it. I understand that you have to complete primary and secondary objectives. This is what I've done so far.

Protected the area where the helicopter gets blown to bits, kill everyone there

Next I go to the marketplace and help/save the people in there, kill everyone there

Then I go to the park, kill everyone there

Last I go to the tunnels - I believe thats what they call it, kill everyone there including the 2 tanks and mission ends. I didnt get perfect. What did I miss.

Sorry if its been posted, thread is pretty long.

I only see 2 boxes, and I blast them until they move all the way back to the wall. Did anyone else have this problem? It's startingto get frustrating when Training's giving me problems.

are you sure you're doing everything they are instructing you to do? Like hold your breath, or zoom in or crouch or something extra you may be missing.

Actually, it's not Level 1-1 the achievement is for a Perfect Chapter 1-1 that means you have to finish all the primary and secondaty objectives in all four missions to get that one achievement.

Yes, and it just KEEPS telling me to pull the right trigger to "quick aim" or whatever, and when i shoot it tells me to peek out, and vice versa.

Oh, I see. That makes sense. Thanks. Does it have to be on default settings? Does it matter?

I don't know if it has to be default since I never hosted the missions, I just joined X's game and unlocked it that way.

WHen it asks you to quick aim, it may mean to hold the left trigger- not the right trigger and then shoot, then move over to the other side of the wall and do the same again. I think, I may be wrong.

Good enough. Thanks for the info Santurio. I'll see what happens after I get around finishing co-op.
