I just noticed this, i ordered it for $15 yesterday, any chance Amazon will change it for me, or should i just be lucky i got one? :)
You could try going to the order page and seeing if the promo codes would work, I guess?

Nope, only gift cards can be applied post-order.

Got in for $10, thanks again!

Yea, well-
I stupidly canceled the other preorder I had with the first coupon when I saw this.

I may get it at BBy or Target (I have a GC for both and I would like BBy rewards for it)

Anyone have experience with canceling part of the order? I ordered $25 worth of stuff (not realizing FSSS would be based on pre-coupon price), and should probably take some of the items out of the order. Anyone know if this will screw up my FSSS if I keep it over the original $25 based amount? IE, does it still calculate the FSSS this way after the fact.

I've seen some times in the past that knocking the total price of the order below $25 regardless of the starting point removed FSSS pricing from the order. Recently, I think that's not an issue and you should still be OK.
I was able to contact Amazon CS and have them honor the $9.99 price. Just letting everyone know it's possible.
which coupon code did you use first?

Um . . . Check your orders. I just looked at mine on the site, and it appears that they removed one of the coupons. When I placed the order, the total was $20.98 (and I have the email order confirmation to prove it), now suddenly it's $25.48 (it appears that the CD that I added as filler for free shipping went down by 50 cents) and there's only one coupon listed.

fuck. Debating now whether to contact them and complain, or just cancel the order and take my business to Best Buy.

My order still says 9.99 with x2 5 buck promo applied.

I believe I had SONYPIC3 entered or SONYPIC5...I'm almost positive it was the first one though...and it still took off $5.
Me too :bouncy:
Weird. So either I'm, um, special somehow, or they just haven't gotten around to everyone yet. I guess I'm going to send them a message and complain, though I don't expect much since the coupons probably weren't supposed to be stackable in the first place. If they won't fix it, though, fuck 'em -- I'm going to just cancel the order and use the coupon from the newspaper in Best Buy next week.

OMG I cant believe this is out on Blu Ray!. Good times and thx

Update: Ok, I emailed them, and they fixed it back to $20.98 without argument -- by lowering the listed price on the Ghostbusters blu-ray to $15.49 instead of $19.99, rather than by putting the coupon back. Still showing only one $5 promo, rather than two like it was earlier. Means I'm really only getting $9.50 off instead of $10, since they factored out the price drop on the CD, but good enough, I guess.

What gets to me is that they removed the one coupon with no notification or explanation at all. If I hadn't actually logged in, looked at my order status, and noticed the change, apparently they would have just billed me at the higher price. Whether stacking the coupons is valid or not, I'm surprised they could do that.

Anyway, you all might want to keep a close watch on your orders up until they ship, to make sure that they don't try to pull it on you as well.
Why you gotta scare people?

I think yours was just an anomaly.
Haha, sorry. Hopefully it was an anomaly, but like I said, probably still best to check in on your orders just to be safe.

fuck it wont let me stack

heres what i got from amazon

Thank you for writing to Amazon.com.

The discounts we offer on items on our website do vary from time to time. I've checked your order, and found that we currently offer a greater discount on "Ghostbusters" than at the time you placed your order.

Since this item has not yet shipped, I have adjusted the price to reflect the current discounted price, $9.99. This is the price you will be charged when the order ships.

On the date of shipment, you should receive an e-mail message confirming the date, contents, and method of your shipment.

Thanks again for shopping at Amazon.com.

Please let us know if this e-mail resolved your question:

My order for Ghostbusters and Dr. Strangelove still shows one $10 discount and one $5 discount.

Guess I'll be checking on that daily until they ship out.

Damn, I changed my payment method within my already placed order and it cancelled one of the coupon codes. That's some BS since I had already placed it.

Yeah, I realized what I think happened with mine to cause one of the coupon codes to get dropped -- the price changed on my filler item (which was also a pre-order, and went down by 50 cents), and when they did the price adjustment on that, it reviewed the whole order and dropped the second coupon. Apparently any change in the order will trigger it (at least we know what to watch for now, I guess).

I contacted them, and they changed it back to the original total without any argument or explanation of why it had been changed. I didn't even mention the two coupons, I just said that when I placed the order the total had been $x, and now it was $x+5, and that I wanted them to fix it. So you might try that.
Here's a review...looks like the PQ and AQ are top notch quality...can't wait :bouncy:

http://bluray.highdefdigest.com/1674/ghostbusters.html
I wouldn't say that the PQ is top-notch quality from that review, though it sounds reasonably good for a 25-year old movie with a spotty past of a bad DVD video release. Also worth the upgrade from the DVD, from that review. Plus, at the price of $15 or $10, it's hardly worth turning down on BR.

That's a lesson for the kids out there:

Pictures are NOT the same as words.

When reading a review, READ the text, don't just gloss over it and look at star ratings.

They took off one of the $5 coupons from my order.

*EDIT* No, they took off BOTH coupons.

I went from $28.07 to $35.07, only because my Ghostbusters game dropped $3.

I'm pissed.

I had to make two separate phone calls to Amazon. The first woman was either ignorant or just a fucking moron. I kept telling her that I was missing two promotional codes on my order. And she kept saying "But there is still a $20 promotional code on the order." NO fuckING SHIT, THAT WAS A GOD DAMNED DIFFERENT CODE. YOU fuckING MORON. I had THREE promo codes on that order, now it only shows ONE. THAT is what I'm trying to fix! Yet she kept saying "But the promotional code is on there and your order total is $35.07" No, it's supposed to be $25.07, because my original order total was $28.07 and with the Ghostbuster video game dropping $3, that should mean my order is now $25.07, but it's not you dumbass!

After going around in circles with this woman for 15 minutes, I hung up. I just called back and got another woman who had enough common sense to understand my problem the first time. So she just took $10 off the price for the Ghostbusters video game which brought my total back to the right price of $10. I then thanked her for being a competent Amazon employee.

Althought under 20 bucks is a good deal, me wonders if I should wait til they release the GB1/GB2 box set?

I hate GB2, but GB feels naked without GB2 :(

Checked on my order again (GB & Dr. Strangelove), and it's still showing -$10 (SONYBLU5 x2, one per movie) and -$5 (GHOSTBLU), so it's showing the correct amount.

Hopefully, it'll still hold until it ships out on Monday, as it's showing delivery by the 18th.

My (3x Ghostbusters) order is still showing -$10 (Gift Certificate), -$15 (SONYPIC5) & -$15 (GHOSTBLU). Estimated date is June 18th, but hasn't shipped.

I think the problem with my order was that the price for the Ghostbusters video game dropped three bucks and in processed caused the two $5 codes to be kicked off since they are no longer valid.

damn - i applied a gift cert to my order after the fact and it kicked off one of the $5 codes.

Emailed support to have them fix it.

Even if your order is fixed, make sure to check it again.
i got in on another preorder deal for $25 a month or so ago. It's since gone up to $50.

They've fixed the problem 3 times, and each time it goes back up the next day. I'm just going to wait until it ships then complain one more time.
