Who the hell actually likes this lame ass game. IGN gave it a 9.5. WTF this game sucks my ass hole.

I sigh as I think of how many people have said this before. Why if I had a quarter for every time someone has said this then... well, I wouldn't be very rich at all would I?
Shenmue obviously isn't a game for everyone. It's more for patient gamers who have time to kill or for slackers who like to pretend that it's real so that they can feel like they're not lazy. After all, what other game simulates forklift operation as a job? Besides, if you're talking about the original Shenmue on DC (which I assume you are) then you have to look at the time period. Voice-acting was a relatively new thing and the graphics were nothing short of gorgeous for a simple in-game engine. The plot is mildly intriguing and it wasn't a game you just rented and beat. It had all those things going for it, however the PS2 was not far behind the DC (which is a real shame because I still say the DC is the greatest system) and when all of this new potential came forth (voice-acting for EVERY game, the new CG cutscenes, and the superior graphics) on the PS2, games like this were shot down. Now I'm sure you're not only recently emerging from the 8/16-bit era, so I have no doubt that you have played current-gen titles. What with all of the current advancements around today, it's not surprising that you would say that. Why play Shenmue when you could play God of War or Resident Evil 4, eh? However like I said, it's simply not a game for everyone and if you didn't enjoy it, then don't dare to pick up the sequel (unless a leather-clad babe paying you to move boxes with someone with a negative I.Q. is your thing).
Now, either all of what I have just said is true, or you are an idiot, and I'd rather assume the latter.
