God of War Collection PS3 (+FREE GOWIII DEMO!) 36.99 FSS + ECA DISC at Amazon
I'm not sure what happened but I just got the GOW collection for $27.74. Is there a glitch that allows you to double up on a code if you had already put one during a previous session?
$27.74? Wow, that's pretty good.

Yeah, if you double-dip and get it in your gold box, it's 30% off total. Pretty slick.
No GoW Collection in my Gold Box...but I did finally get Uncharted 2 Pre-Order in there. $54.14...after ECA it comes to $48.44. Should I bite on that price?
I give up. Nearly two weeks on trying to manipulate the Gold Box and nothing but crap for me. Not one decent game yet. Bunch of PS2 trash. I don't even own a PS2. Glad some of you are getting something. Wish I could.
Showed up in my GB Today. $31.44 after Eca+GB Discounts.
Need this to show up in my goldbox, don't want to pay much than this for PS2 re releases but i've always wanted to give the series a real shot.

How? I thought you got 5% (-$1.85) off for goldbox, and then 10% off of that reduced price (-$3.51) with an ECA code, but that only brings it down to $31.64. Or is the goldbox discount for this now higher? I'd definitely like to get it for $27 if I can!

Its a ECA exploit.

ECA exploit? as in Apply an ECA %10 discount twice?

Don't know if its been fixed or not, but the exploit didn't work for me today. I already had a ECA discount code in my shopping cart. Today, GOW collection was in my gold box, placed in cart AND tried to add an additional new ECA code i just generated today, and it did not add the discount twice.

Maybe the exploit was "patched" up. Im not complaining do.

You needed to have a code from two waves ago in order to stack it, so I don't think it was fixed.

Played the original when I had a working PS2 and absolutely loved it. I killed my PS2 before the second came out, so I never had the chance to play it. I will definitely be picking this up.

So, that's the glitch... but nah, that's a bit too much, it's not part of the agreement, so i'm happy with what i got, gold box saving and just one 10% coupon.

Define 'killed your PS2'. If you're just talking about the common Disc Read Error, all that usually took to fix was cleaning the lens with a q-tip or replacing it(which costs less to do than even sending it into Sony).:D

I swear, with all of the PS2 systems I fixed for friends I could've made a killing. I took apart so many of them I could take them down to where I had nearly everything stripped down to base components. Actually, I never did take all of the chips off of the boards, so maybe not down that far, but taken apart enough that most people would've never been able to put it all back together.

I'm tempted to get this even though I still own both games and have a fully backwards compatible PS3. Trophy support? Yes please :)

Hmm, I think I know what to tell the wife what would make a great 8th year anniversary gift as it is also Nov 10th.

Hmm, 8th year is "bronze/pottery", yup, this would have that included...technically.

Coming this fall, we are happy to announce to fans that God of War Collection will include the long-awaited God of War III E3 2009 Demo. Each copy of God of War Collection will include a voucher code that can be redeemed through PlayStation Network on the day of purchase. This is your chance to experience God of War III before it hits store shelves March 2010.

......

If anyone generated a bunch of ECA codes from the old batch, can you please message me one? I would like to double stack the codes because I'm a true cheap ass gamer so every discount means a lot to me! Thanks

Yeah, same here.

Thanks.

I wanna get those so bad, but I have a feeling I'd never play them. I bought LBP and MGS4 and even ordered MGS1-3... and I've yet to play any of them. But great deal.
Keep in mind this is only a voucher for when the demo is released on PSN, so it may or may not be available right when the game releases.
The PS Blog says "Each copy of God of War Collection will include a voucher code that can be redeemed through PlayStation Network on the day of purchase." That is kinda tricky wording, but it seems that the demo will be available the day of release.

Including a voucher instead of putting the demo on the disc? Very smart move by Sony -- this makes it so that it encourages more people to buy it new, than used.

Yes, it comes with the demo, sweet! I don't care if it a code or on the disc... but yeah, if on the disc, you don't have to download it...

Jeez, this comes out the end of the year and they are giving us a 1/2 year old demo?
Shocked that Gamestop didn't get their hooks on this promo first.

I'm torn I actually own both of these games but haven't finished either. I got it my gold box today but I really need to see screen shots of the improvements before I basically re buy this.

Yeah, it's just surprising because they originally said there's no way it would be ready in time for a holiday release. I'm still skeptical, since the code may be ready for use even if no demo DL is available yet.

After I thought about why they would release it on PSN, I came to the same conclusion.
im semi-dumb...what is this gold box discount that everyone talks about?
My sig you seek. Take you to it, I will. \/

So I've never pre-ordered a game from Amazon, so how does it work? Am I going to get the game on the day its getting released or do I have to wait until 3-5 days for shipping?? How does it work??

Depends on the shipping method you choose upon checkout. Standard shipping is generally 3-5 days and around $5 for a $50-60 game. Many upcoming games give you a Release Date Delivery that is guaranteed to be at your house the day it comes out. It's usually a $1-2 more.

Or you can get the free shipping, but I stopped using it personally because I've had items ship to me 2 or so weeks after I placed an order that was in stock.

I've preordered about two games with no problem, all with the Release Date Delivery. Amazon's customer service is quite good too if you ever have a problem.

Hahaah i think its weird that they call it a "collection" when its just 2 games...What ever. Sill gonna get it since i never got around to playing any of them on PS2. Only the psp version.

Wow, this game actually popped up in my gold box today, so with ECA I had to jump on it! First time something actually appeared in my gold box that I wanted to buy and was ready to buy.

Played the PSP game and loved it - really really excited about this :bouncy:

gah okay im gonna get flamed for being a CAG noob but how does this godl box thing work. i have eca and really want this game mostly for the demo ahaha

The answer to your question is just several posts up. Not hard to find.

You guys and your Gold Box shenanigans. From reading Jodou's link, it seems like a lot of hassle to save $1.85 (in this game's case).

For one game it might be. It also sounds a bit tougher than it is. Once you do the initial clean up of recommendations, it's fairly simple and quick. I've gotten roughly 20 games in my Quick Picks, so I've saved at least $50 due to Quick Picks. Definitely worth it if you have a few games in which you're interested.

Finally! GoW Collection finally appeared on my Gold Box for the second time. I popped up a couple weeks or so ago...but I only noticed it did just a couple hours before it expired. I was hesitant as I didn't know about the GoW III demo or even trophies. So I pruned my recommendations again...and POW! Again at last!

Came out to $31.44 after GB and ECA discounts. :)
