GOG Deals Thread

I already had a little over 225, and now I have 14 more courtesy of this sale. I'm surprised by how many older titles they've brought out that I didn't already have.

And to think that I ignored GOG until they had Gobliiins marked down once upon a time in 2010...

GOG is the definition of backlog, wasted money, and nostalgia for me. 

I mean, I do think the concept is great, but I just like DL the game, start it for five minutes, think "I remember this game" then think "Even the shittiest game from this generation is still better" and then x out of dosbox and play nothing.  Every time.  

 
So uh.. don't do what I did. I left a tab open overnight with an old Insomnia deal in checkout.. and paid through paypal. Payment was successful, and price was correct, but it directed me to a 404 page on GOG, so no game for me. Contacted them just now, I should at the very least get a refund, but yeah.. don't do that. Holding a tab for an hour or so might be fine, but not for 10+ hours.

Silly spoder.

I almost got free Real Texas just now. 40 copies, Clicked super fast. Still only got the teddy bear holding the world.

I find it hard to believe multiple CAGs can get better games for free on fb, but like none of us can get even one of these shitty games for free over the course of a day.

 
I added about 20 games during this sale, and miraculously I managed to get one of the free entries (Real Texas) without the bear giving me a middle finger.

Okay, Rise of the Triad has been up 3 times, and it says in little orange letters under it "Last chance".

Maybe I have one more shot at Nverwinter after all :)
 
"Last Chance" sales are popping up now.   This is the 3rd time for Rise of the Triad, guess that means everything will rotate through again...assuming they don't throw up 500 copies of Jack Keane 2

I have never heard of this game before but managed to grab a copy too. I had to buy SOMETHING during this sale since they refuse to let me have anything for free.

Just you watch, they'll make Jack Keane 2 the last product of the sale and we won't notice that literally everything else has passed by already.

Or they'll do me a solid and put it back up during my pizza delivery shift.

ROTT has only burned through about a third of its allotment - I figured this was a good time for a shower, looks like I can run off to tend to my teeth as well.

To be fair, I've found it to be a rather enjoyable "action-romp"***. Lots of the good ol' '90s ultra-violence!
That said, I was a huge fan of the original. I may be slightly biased.

*** - Note that i do NOT like how enemies blend into the backgrounds and it's nigh impossible to find them before getting shot up all to hell. (Which seems to be a common complaint for this version as it is)

System Shock 2 was free. 80 of them. Already have it though.

Blood (One Whole Unit) is only $1.50 now. Personally, I think the 2.5D era never should have happened, but I'd imagine some people would be interested.
