GOG Deals Thread

Race the Sun looks pretty decent, can't quite get myself to pull the trigger on it today, but be interested in checking it out some time if it goes on sale again (or gets bundled).

Did the same with looking through what I had, surprised to see I'd bought one of the Myst remakes and didn't realized I'd bought Syberia on GOG as well, oh and had The Last Express.

I rarely actually post here, I only started posting more frequently because I know how much you love my patented brand of sarcastic belittlement.
To be honest with you here—seeing as we have a very similar sense of humour (at least regarding facetiousness)—as a matter of fact, I genuinely do enjoy when you do this sort of thing, even though I know I shouldn't... :whee:

I dunno, a couple minutes in and it's 150 down already. I'd say it'll be roughly ten, maybe even less.

Never heard about that game (blade of darkness)
It's a FANTASTIC game! If you ever played any of the Sierra city-builders (Zeus, Caesar, Pharoah, etc.), it was done in the same vein. In fact, Tilted Mill was founded by some of the developers of Impression Games, whom created the original Sierra city-building series.

Tilted Mill also has a new game, called "Medieval Mayor", that has been in dev limbo since late year (due to funding issues). I've been trying to convince the development team (a few of them were former coworkers/industry peers) to run a Kickstarter campaign, but they are hesitant to do so, for whatever reason.

Nobody's perfect.
Not even toasters like me.

Also, @MysterD, care to explain the "cashew" part of your tagline? I do, in fact, understand the Cylon part (I've never seen the recent BG series, but I'm an avid fan of the original and the 1980 continuation), so no explanation is necessary for that...

Funny part - I actually never watched BattleStar Gallactica.

A joke about me being a Cylon kinda caught on, around here.

"Cashew" = another word for NUT.

I'm calling myself a DRM-Nut.

If there's something I speak about a lot on these boards, it's DRM.

This is quite true, although probably unlikely (at least for those who have posted in the GOG thread over the last few days). I say this because if memory serves correctly, you were the only one in here wanting Race the Sun; unfortunately, you may have to wait a while to offload that key, @simpsonps121. :whistle2:(

Hopefully, though, that won't be the case... ;)
Unlikely? You get a Steam key and the game is never that cheap. You could probably sell it for $3 in the Steam thread within a week, or dump it off at cost and get your money back even quicker.

Hold up a second, here. :whistle2:k

You are a regular poster here in the GOG thread, but you have only purchased one game from them? That doesn't really make that much sense from my perspective... but hey, "to each his own," I guess.
MNS just posts everywhere all the time.

Ugh... this one will not go fast either... 10 minutes!!
10 minutes, he says...

Well, we're already approaching 40 minutes, and EXACTLY 2/3 of the keys are remaining (50, as of a few seconds ago).

So, let me do the math here... *carry the one, multiply by the remainder, divide by e, multiply again by the inverse, estimate the derivative* ...I'm guessing another 20 minutes, and we'll be on to the next game.

Would have thought 150 copies, even if it isn't a good game, wouldn't take that long to get rid of. Unrelated but I've been wondering if they are just finding time wasters til it gets later in Europe to unleash some of the "bigger," games?

Eh, my two cents is that considering it's the third round already, I highly doubt they're considering that as a factor (maybe during the first round, but not so likely during the final one).

Still looking for the Sierra Adventure games except Kings Quest.  I have that one.
Also, Heretic Kingdoms Inquisition, 11th Hour,  and Jake Kean.

Thanks!
