GOG Deals Thread

Don't know why, but Myst never catched me back then. Only played one from the series and didn't liked the style. Tried Lighthouse too, and same thing. Graphics were great, the music, the plot... but the gameplay... I'm not too fan of puzzles (but love point and click adventures)

I still have Myst to play, it didn't catch one with me when I first played it. I was also probably 8 at the oldest so can't take much away from that. Though still not big on heavily puzzle based adventure games.

SiN was really a good game. I even remember it had a atrocious load times... Patched later. BUT, after the patch your saved games became invalid and had to play it all again.

I was never a fan of Myst or Myst type games. I preferred adventure games with some characters and an ok story. Those are mainly instead about exploring and figuring out mysteries which was OK (esp with the cool journal in the PC version which I used), but still kind of bored me. Riven was a bit better though imho, though I never played Uru.

I got SiN onto Steam (for FREE), back when I bought SiN Episodes: Episode 1 - Emergence...

...which feels like centuries ago.

EDIT:

Hmmm - Wages of SiN isn't in the Steam-version.

And GoG doesn't sound like it has copyright/censorship issues.

Interesting.

Sin: Gold needs to get cheaper on GOG then...heh.

Groan... I am stuck... Can not get out, can not use the computer for long... Looks like the goal is 10PM for me...
Oi! Stop complaining about petty things, like getting sufficient sleep to stay healthy!

I'm stuck with actual problems here: The internet is down for us right now (not a hardware problem, so DON'T suggest that, even if you mean well), which means we're stuck with our phones' shoddy Verizon network for the moment. Oh, wait! It gets *even better*, because we have a shared family plan for data, and my daughter just used up about 85% of what was left of it watching a Twitch stream on her damned iPad...

Which means that the entire Rock clan only has about 200 MB left until we're cut off from the rest of the planet. *sigh*

Read my last post; also I was too busy typing that up on my bloody iPhone keyboard to notice the new sale go up... >:–(

EDIT: Also, did the YCS formatting show up for you folks on my last post? It doesn't look right for me on my iPhone (but then again, YCS usually formats on my Arsepull-brand phone as some strange script font).

looked fine on my phone, but I'm not using tapatalk (had log in issues). Tapatalk I usually, since the last update anyways see just script on there

I meant YCS, not, "YLS", as I originally posted...

Also, I have never used the Tapatalk app, as I prefer the desktop-formatted version of CAG (or, any site for that matter) if I have the choice. In fact, I can't stand mobile-formatted websites SO MUCH, that I've frequently been known to not even bother with a website if they don't offer a full/desktop version of it to mobile users.

I usually use the mobile site or tapatalk (Being its free on WP8) but one of the nice things of WP8 is being able in setting to choose a preference for desktop or mobile sites. Been nice for those websites like you mentioned that will not let you use the desktop version on a mobile phone. Ran into too many places that will have a specials or deals page, but on the mobile site it is impossible to find.

It's still pretty good, but that's 1000 too many copies.

Wait, I guess that means I can go cook dinner!

In better worse news, it looks like Theme Park might sell through half its supply in less than one hour, twenty minutes.

With all the people going to bed, that should mean it'll finish out within the next three hours!

You jinxed it now it's moving slower than molasses!

I'm back, and gone again.

If Space Quest hits sometime overnight, I'd still like it if someone can grab a copy.

That said, I may just be able to catch the end of Theme Park tomorrow morning over coffee.

-sigh- What a horrible piece of content. I refuse to acknowledge this abomination as a game.
