Guys if youre thinking of buying those new lucas games DON'T I bought a few things in that insomnia sale and I STILL haven't gotten my steam keys for Nox and Vampire the Masquerade: Redemption. In fact I just looked and those games AREN'T EVEN ON STEAM somebody should sue gog for fraud i want my drm AND I WANT IT NOW

You can get it DRM-free for free, but a few things are only contained in the paid version, whether on the dev's site, steam or, I assume, GOG.

You mean the games that used to be free downloads on their site for years (Well as Amiga Roms but ain't no thang to get the emulator) but that they suddenly yanked from the site once they realized people would pay for their old shit and then gave a bunch of BS excuses last year about updating the site yadda yadda and oh the free rom downloads will be back etc that never actually happened?

Ha, Interesting.

Frankly, at a buck fiddy each...I'll just grab the Cinemaware collection from Steam when it hits 75% off to get my +1 and 6 or so other games that I'll never play with a heapin' helpin' of good ol' Steam DRM.

Yeah, I downloaded the ROMs for several of the classic games a while ago when I got Amiga Forever. Apparently this is exactly what happened: Cinemaware created their own emulator-wrapper for the games and decided to start selling them on various stores (some of the games are available on iOS and Android) not coinkidentally at the same time that the ROMs were removed from the site and the same time that the remastered version of Wings! was released (after a couple of failed Kickstarters).

It's a bummer - I always thought it was really cool of Cinemaware to make these games available now that they weren't a saleable item anymore (i.e., no one has Amiga computers), but I guess they were only going to do that until they could figure out a way to monetize them in the 21st century. I really enjoyed the original Wings! and It Came From the Desert on my Amiga 1000. I also played that Sinbad game but it was pretty annoying.

 
Since I'm such a nice guy, and GOG codes aren't worth anything to anyone, I'll go ahead and dispose of any unwanted Witcher 3 codes for free.

I'll even throw in Steam copies of Gun Monkeys to ease the pain.
 
I forgive you Neuro. I know you just want the steam key because it'll probably let you register for a free copy on GOG at some point.

GOG codes are worth plenty to me!

I so would take The Witcher 3 (GOG key) for FREE!

Too bad I missed out on this 970 deal. :(

Would've loved to have this card for this price - especially so I could run TW3, ACU, and The Evil Within properly.

B/c TW3 keys from Nvidia cards are for GOG only.

I bet your Dragon Age Inquisition key for Origin just didn't work on Steam, right?

EDIT:

It would be nice if one key for a certain PC game activated it up on multiple services - that'd certainly be a Toaster's Dream.

Yeah thats where whole toaster thing came about too...robots can't understand sarcasm so....

Toaster was just a derogatory term they used for the robots (Cylons) in battle star galactica I think he was initially called a cylon and then toaster ....and D turned that into an actual toaster...go figure.

No, it's just that we get more of rcsample pooping on GOG and Drabe pooping on you than anything else in this thread these days.

Even during the sales, strangely enough. They really step up their game accordingly. It's impressive.

Actually, I think I did change the line for my B-day to something else for a day, then changed it back.

I never noted what I did change it to on my B-day.

And never noted I switched it back.

You can now redeem the retail keys for "select" games on GOG. It says that it only works on retail Boxed copies, but I managed to redeem the Steam CD keys for Stalker: Call Of Pripyat & Clear Sky. There's no CD key for Shadow Of Chernobyl on steam, so out of luck there.

Mount & Blade Fire & Sword gave me an invalid code message though. So I guess they ain't kidding about it only working with Retail Boxed copies for that. I don't own the other games, so i couldn't try them.

Oh and there's also some deals on a few games in honor of GOG introducing Russian language support.

I got my Clear Sky Steam key to redeem, but CoP, SoC and M&B:F&S Steam keys gave me invalid code.

At the bottom of the page it says the non-stalker games work on the Russian versions. That might be the issue with that.

Oh, but there IS a key!

Guys i found steam cd key for Stalker Shadow of Chernobyl. The game needs to be installed. Wehn you start the game, go to multiplayer and in the top right corner it will say serial or something like that.Hover over with the mouse and whoola. ''Goes downloading Stalker SoC form GOG''

So you have to install the game and copy the multiplayer key. Nifty! And yeah the other games only support Russian versions, which is pretty nice for them.

ETA: Apparently it can also be found in the registry. http://www.gog.com/forum/general/breclaim_your_gamesb_drmfree_1ee9a/post125 (I haven't tested this.)
