Good Local multiplayer games.

Hey there does anyone know of any games for the 360 that are good for pickup play, with friends?
Like as 4 player hack and slash or anything in those terms, any multilayer games that are local and does not require online or another 360.

The Lego Series, both of the Star Wars games and Indiana Jones allow at least 2 people to play on the same screen, maybe more but I'm not sure. They're also quite fun.

Dynasty Warriors games are always fun for you and a friend. If they suck, you can just give them a character you maxed out and got the strongest weapon for that way they can still bust ass.

If you like RPG's, Tales of Vesperia is playable with up to 4 players. It takes a few hours into the game though before you get 4 characters in your party.

WHAT!~?>
Tales of Vesperia is 4 players?!
wait wait..
how soo..
like only in combat or what?
i was planning on getting that game.

Yes in combat only. Player 1 controls you running around outside of fights, but in battle each person controls a character.
Castle Crashers is a must have 4 player hack and slash on XBLA. $15. Can't go wrong. But it does require online access just to buy it.
Agreed, game is off the hook.

I'm probably in the minority here, but I find the Lego games to be some of the worst co-op experiences out there. It's an exercise in patience and nonsense with long-ass boring levels with little to no variety. My wife and I tried a nice little bout on Lego Star Wars and we were yelling and swearing at each other within ten minutes.

That being said, I think there are a ton of arcade games that are really good like Bomberman, Schizoid, Robotron, Castle Crashers, and my favorite of all Geometry Wars 2.

Not a hack and slash, but Perfect Dark Zero is a lot of fun with 4 people and then 12 bots...

I also second the Dynasty Warriors series.

This. I played the Indiana Jones demo with my father and we thought it was great. We rented the whole game, and at the end of the second level, I hated him and never wanted to play that game with him again.

Do NOT play Lego games unless you want a reason to dislike the people you are playing with. Thank God I didn't play it with my girlfriend.
