I just bought a 360 yesterday, the premium edition. Me and my bro paid half. I personally dont like first person shooters, i like non fps action games, rpgs, strategy, and sports games. I'm looking through game profiles on ign and every 360 game coming is a fps. I'm starting to think i made a mistake purchasing a 360. I bought dead or alive 4 its pretty good. i want to know any other action games that are out already or coming out that i should be looking at. And does anybody know if soul caliber 4 is coming out for 360?

for rpgs I would say oblivion, for action/adventure Dead Rising, for sports Madden 07, strategy I would say LOTR BfME2, but still my favorite game is CoD 2

If you like racing games you should get Burnout. I would also recommend Dead Rising ONLY if you have an HDTV setup. I rented the game and cannot read any on the onscreen text because I have a standard tv. I would suggest just downloading all the demos on the Xbox Live Marketplace. I personally expect good things out of Lost Planet (it's a third person shooter). You might want to try Ninety Nine Knights too.

Dead Rising is the best exclusive on the system so definitely get that. Apart from that, Ridge Racer 6 and Project Gotham Racing 3 were really good from what I played... and I normally find racing games to be pretty bland and uninteresting.

Oblivion, Battle for Middle Earth II, Dead Rising (can't stop playing ), and you might like Condemned: Criminal Origions. It's not really a firts person shooter, it's more of a first person beat the shit out of things.

For right now try GRAW, Hitman, LotR: Battle for Middle Earth 2, Top spin 2, Dead Rising, Ninty-nine nights, Tomb Raider, and even Blazing Angels. That's on top of all the sports and racing titles out there. Also in the next 3 months or so look for: Enchanted Arms, Lego Star Wars 2, Splinter CellDoublt agent, Phantasy Star universe, Samurai Warriors 2, and Test Drive Unlimited. Again on top of the sports titles... I agree that the 360 has a large portion of FPS games, I'll be the first to say it, but there's a little somehting for everyone out now and more to come I'm sure over the next half a year or so, espeically if you enjoy sports/racing games at all.

If you don't like first person view(which I don't)I dont recommend Oblivion.

There is a RPG coming out the end of this month called Enchanted Arms. It looked pretty damn good to me. Do a search and see if it's something you would like.

I will have my review up of this in a day or less so you can judge for yourself. I haven't finished the game yet but I think you'll get a pretty good idea of it from it.
I'm putting it up at www.got-next.com/ hopefully.

Oblivion is good if you like RPG's. I got a bit bored with it though.

Madden 07 for sports....and NBA 2K6 (or wait a month or two for 07).

Dead Rising is great also...Burnout is a good racing game.

Top Spin 2 for Tennis.

Condemned is still great, even though it's a FPS (not so much a shooter though, more horror game).
