SPAM. It's a trading site that charges $1 per trade, you'll still need to pony up some game to trade for another one.

LOL

they have

Ys: The Ark of Napishtim Ps2

at the same level as

ARc the lad collection for the PS1

good luck finding a sucker to do that trade

they have
Baldur's Gate: Dark Alliance 2

points: 100

yea right
They process trades at $1 a trade, games are cost + $1 :/
really cost is Game + buck + shipping and who knows if you get a working game in return

too bad gamefly or someone with a real name didnt do this

Goozex Guarantee: All members are protected by the Goozex Guarantee. This means you can trade video games that you own, worry free. We will credit you the Goozex points and the transaction fee for any game that is lost, stolen or damaged, subject to the terms of use.

so if your 50 buck game gets lost we will be happy to refund your DOLLAR LOL good one

Umm... Cheapy actually showed me this site a couple of weeks ago because someone he knows helped with the web design portion (not anything to do with the actually site, just the design). For that reason alone, I'll keep this topic open until we get the final word from Cheapy when he wakes up in a little while here.

Edit: I did change the title to reflect what this actually is though.

And until then, they can remain banned like the rest of the spammers, and that topic can stay in The Dump.

Actually, I have a friend who knows the site owner.
I just signed up for it to check it out and I still can't figure out how it works.

You know, I can't even seem to find out the condition of the games. Maybe I'm missing it, but it's a bad move on their part if you can't.

Killzone
platform: PlayStation 2
points: 100
status: Match! Your request is waiting confirmation from the seller.

oh i guess i got a copy... just waiting for sellers confirmation

I actually like the idea of this. I actually have thought about doing something similar to this every since I used "TradeDemon" many years ago. It matched trades and even 3 way deals. Good site, unfortunately it went the way of many dot.coms.

So maybe this site has promise if it gets some more exposure.

I agree that the condition should be listed and points added/subtracted for the condition.
I can't figure out many things there. Suikoden II for 200 points is funny though.

Edit: Are the games even complete?
this is why i wouldnt do it. They can send you a burned copy of a game and all you get back is 1 buck

so you traded your 50 buck game now you have a burned or broken copy and 1 buck

Yeah, but I'm tempted to try and get that free game the OP mentioned. smellhasreturned, how many points total did you have after using that code?

ahhh
The website, www.goozex.com, is designed poorly.
Trying to naviagate thru the site is a pain in the ass.
You can't sort by the number of points.
You can't narrow it down to genre if you look at what is avaliable.
Whoever wrote that site should be shot in the head.
I haven't seen a website this shitty in a long time.

edit:
Just figured out how to view the items available, items wanted separately.
I feel so smart now
:)
One more complaint: that dinosaur mascot (or whatever it is suppose to be) looks retarded.

Since Cheapy knows the guy, so just send Cheapy a gun with a note attached.

I believe the site just launched two weeks ago........running beta tests now, so im assuming they will make alot of changes here and there.
I'll give it a shot. Castlevania SOTN is only 350 points.
someone is requesting that item at 350 points, it is not available.

Signed up since you can do one free. However the site giving away free points w/o games actually being traded into the system could swing into crazy goozex point inflation if they aren't careful. Just something to keep in mind if you plan to trade into this thing.

Also, based on this page maybe everything is disc only? Sure looks like their print and ship envelope is designed for just the disc. Shippped in two folded up sheets of paper too. Very Hi-tech...

OMG that's hilarious. That's light years beyond our technology. Oh well, I plan on getting my free game and then cancel.

I think you guys are overreacting about navigation. Wasn't too hard to learn how to trade and stuff. Hope my La Pucelle Tactics goes through!

If you guys are interested in the idea of a $1 trading site I highly recommend Barter Bee. I've been a member now for about 2-3 months, and have got a number of games / dvds on teh cheap since then.

Signed up to try a free game at least. I found one "Available Now" and just have to wait for the trader to agree. Added a few more games to my requests but none of them are up for trade, just added them in hopes of maybe someone adding it soon.

I'll give this one a go for the free trial, with a junk email address.

If the game ends up looking like ass like I think it will, I know I'll cut and run after the first deal.

I'm a little suspicious of anyone who joins CAG on thier first day - July 23, 2006 and this is their first and only post.

Plus I don't see where condition of games is mentioned - maybe most people don't care about the condition of games as long as they play?

if these actually come disc only as the "envelope" suggests then we will have imminent failure of yet another dot.com idea:cry:

wow i must have just gotten in on time :bouncy:

Anyways i wouldnt trade a bunch of games on this because you will have extra cases and you wont get cases with the new:used games. if someone came up with this same thing connected with gamestop etc then it would be better.

I'm not exactly sure how to use this site, I'm befuddled and my lack of sleep doesn't help. I used the coupon code and I got a free trade and 200 points, now how do I get a free game?

edit: Me IZ STUpIDZ0R5. I think I figured it out, tme for me to go to sleep!

Can we have a category for "most confusing deal" this year for the Cheapies? This one wins it hands-down. I just read through all the posts, and I'd like to donate postage to send said gun to anyone involved in this deal/website.

"Mint & Complete. Disc only." - seen on an eBay auction description.

Some stuff I've figured out:

Putting games in "My Library" means those are the games you have and putting up for trade. "My Requests" are the games you want. It's first come first serve in both receiving and trading away games. Points are set by the site.

It doesn't seem too complex but it is different. I put up 6 DC games and 1 PS1 game for trade, They will all be shipped complete (If anyone wants them).
