Goozex Game Trading Site - Coupons and General Discussion

I must say it's too bad we can't have something like this on CAG, but with dollar values instead of points. The service is pretty cool, but the fact that the points for some games are so screwy is bad, but in some cases really good for me (Marvel vs. Capcom 2)

Has anyone used there 200 points on a 100 point game? I requested TMNT 2 for Xbox, Pikman for GC and Driv3r for Xbox all for 100 each. I got Driv3r on its way, I was wondering how do I turn in my other 100 pts for one of the other games, both of which I am first in line for?

They only give you 1 trade slot with the coupon, you'll have to buy more. You can only buy 5 at a time, for $5.00 dollars.

Is it possible to remove something from your request list once they've found a match, but before the person confirms it? I really wish I hadn't put GT3 on my list, but I guess a free game is a free game.

Beyond Good & Evil
platform: Xbox
points: 150
status: Active (2 turns to go)

Is this good? How long till it says match?

Depends on how many people are trading it in. I am number 2 on Marvel vs. Capcom 2 (Xbox) for three days or so.

I think I'll wait for someone to actually receive their game before giving out my address to some random person, to see if its worth doing or not.

I see. They get ya by making you buy 5 at a time. I really wanted TMNT 2 for $1. I guess Ill wait and see what shape Driv3r comes in before I descide wether or not to continue with this site.

On a side note, anyone want to trade for my 500point Tobal No. 1 for PS1?

I'm number 2 inline for MvC2?? I really want a Guilty Gear game, but it's taking too long.

People remember to check games that are available.... just becuase you are number 1 in line doesn't mean anything if the game isn't available.
the wait on MvC2 may be forever...think about it..how many people are going to trade it in for that point total

OK, I bit, for the free game. If it works out I have a couple games to trade, that aren't moving on here.

We'll see what happens.

Anybody get a game from them yet?

PLEASE READ:

A lot of people don't seem to understand how the site works. You have to click on the link on the left hand side in the "Special Search" box that says "Available Now". Right now there are only 447 games that someone has actually listed for trade. Out of those, you have to find one where you can be "Active (You are the first in line!)" Then the site can match you in a day or so, and then the "seller" has to confirm and send you the game.

If you are "Active" on a game that is "Available Now", but you are not first in line, good luck getting the game.

The problem is that the site gives an arbitrary point value for games, rather than the point value being set by traders. For example NO ONE is going to trade Ninja Assault w/ Gun for 100 points!

It's no different from ebay.

I acually have a match for Final Fantasy VII, I hope I get confirmation from the seller soon.

You can request games before they become available, and if your first in line, then you get first crack at it and it won't even be listed in the "Available Now" section when there's a match.

Are you sure it won't be listed in Available Now when there's a match?

I just looked at Available Now for Xbox - 139 titles. And then I looked at Requested Now for Xbox - 94 titles. I did notice a couple of matches.

Of course, neither of those lists are in alpha order (or any order from what I could see). And it doesn't say if a game's been requested or is available on the game's info page. That might be a nice addition.

I also noticed that I'm 6th in line for Beyond Good and Evil and its not listed in Available Now. I this could take a while.....
matched on Beyond Good and Evil for ps2
we'll see how this goes
Are you serious? This was the first game I added to my request list when this thread first went up and it has said I've been first in line since. It must have skipped me.

The person requesting it must have enough points to get the game. I was 4th in line for FF7, but it matched with me, and it's not in "Available Now". If it's in "Available Now", then it is currently available.

OK, that makes sense.

Now the question is, how many CAGgers does it take to figure out how this website works? lol.

Sweet deal OP! I signed up, requested Sega Smash Pack Vol. 1 for DC and I got an e-mail saying that it will be in the mail in the next few days. I am pretty excited about this game...the majority of the games I liked for the Genesis are on it.

I can't wait for the bitching about these being disc only to start once people begin receiving their games even though it says in the FAQ that they are disc only. Should be fun. (And no, I haven't received my game yet so I can't start the bitching:))

I'm sure they'll be refunded every penny they paid.

Yeah I just read about the disc only thing, they even ask you to ship disc only... gross.....

"- Please use the Goozex shipping envelopes that you can print directly from the computer to ensure proper postage and disc safety. Send the video game disc only. Instructions and directions can be found online at www.goozex.com."
I am pretty damn sure that I will get a burned copy of Halo. I don't think the really check the discs.
What would be the point of someone sending you a burnt game? They are trying to build points up on that site, but then you would leave them a negative, so I don't think that would help their cause.
Did you get dissabled as well? Also, I still have one active account left and I still get Beyond GAE free.
I have a match for Final Fantasy X for PS2 - "waiting confirmation from the seller" for about 1 day now... here's hoping he/she confirms...

Same here. I think it's from the same person too. They listed a bunch of FF games at the same time. No confirmation yet though.

A problem with this site is that they want you to list all the games you own in your library (according to faqs). So people will list games that they don't want to trade. Which is stupid. Since I have a match for a 200 point game, I can't get a different game until the would-be seller decides to trade or not trade it.

Well signed up with the coupon and am now 6th in line for Beyond Good & Evil for the Xbox. I hope this thing actually works cause I really want to finally play that game.

I should be getting my games by tomorrow or the next day, I'll be sure to keep you guys informed.

You would think that they would be able to send you the case if it's a PS1 or a Dreamcast game, but oh well, they were free. I'm just hoping the discs will be in decent condition.
Way to be some major asses and make multiple accounts guys.
Thank you, thank you very, very much.:applause: Why does that make me an ass?

that game suck all the games ran slow as molasis
the fact that you're hording/trying to horde all the games not letting everybody get one.
Hording? Does taking 2 or, at most, three more games than any one else make me a horder/ass?
