GoW Collection on PS3 draws interest in other PS2 blu-ray ports

Castlevania
Strider
Gradius
TMNT arcade games with original soundtrack and PIXELS
 
I think Shadow of the Colossus & Ico re-released would make the most sense.

Ico is almost impossible to find ANYWHERE, and SotC is brilliantly unique. Considering that not a lot of people bought either of these games, they should build hype for Team Ico's next project by re-releasing the two on a blu-ray with trophies and updated graphics.
 
Well that was a good idea bringing the best sellers of Ps2 to Ps3 that will help their marketing and of course those who owns ps3 dont have to buy ps2 just to play those games they left or havent played on ps2.
 
I know this would never happen as the originals were released for xbox/pc, but I'd be awesome if somehow some way, KOTR was released this way.

I thought about Grand Theft Auto, but the games tend to play best on PC since GTA III and Vice City use free aim on PC and not a bad lock on, and also play in high resolutions with good textures. Now Resident Evil 4 on PS3 would be awesome and kick the crap out of Resident Evil 5.
 
If their going to do a remake why dont they try All Final Fantasy Versions, Those people who havent played the earlier versions might get interested, anyway FF really is a former all time favorite and most anticipated RPG back to old days,

Sony removes BC because they want to 'focus on PS3 games' and now I hear they are planning to sell PS2 games as DLC, and resell me games I already own on Bluray with anti-aliasing and higher res textures?

Well, you don't have to buy it... Come on now, even if you don't like the idea of releasing older games on blu-ray, you don't have to pour cold water on everyone else. You've said yourself (in bold), it's not the same thing as the games you already own.

I would also like to see Street Fighter Anniversary Collection and the SF Alpha Collection on bluray, unlikely to happen.

whats wrong with the castlevannia games ? i never got to play the second one but i enjoyed the first one it was pretty cool the only downside was the camera. also whoever mentioned gta that would be cool too remake them all with current gta 4 graphics or even if it was just a mp game with all the gta worlds in one game that would be the shit but id settle for a remake of san andreas with gta4 graphics and mp.

But it's not a crap move for many people, including myself. I already have 2 60GB PS3s and the two GoW games but I'll get the rereleases anyway. Not because I'm stupid but because I want to play them with improved graphics and sound.

Many people also will purchase PSP Go and you shouldn't judge them and assume they're stupid. They will have their reasons for buying it. If you think PSP Go is "horrible" then just don't buy it. They made the PSP Go with a specifc audience/demographic that you're just not a part of.

It makes no sense to get offended by a company releasing a product that doesn't appeal to you. You'd be pissed off constantly, about the millions of products you don't care about.
 
I do agree w/ what u said Teh Nitwit but we cant deny theres lots of people out there who is disappointed in PSP GO! IMO the PS2k is more reliable for flexibility of the things it can do, but i still do hope that someday there will be CFW and HB available for pSP GO! i want the hacx

I'd be happy to have a GTA collection with 3,Vice City, San Andreas, Liberty and Vice City Stories, especially with trophies added since I wouldn't mind going through the 3 main games again, and never got around to playing either one of the Stories titles.
 
I do prefer the Castle Vania some what RPG's like these deserves a sequel and a remake IMO i find time crisis boring, maybe its just im not a fan of FPS games. :)
 
I was thinking about this bundle the other day and it occurred to me that the PSP God of War game isn't included. It seems like something that would be pretty easy to include and would sell even more copies of the game, since I'm sure there are God of War fans who don't own a PSP.
 
Eh, I think that's pushing it a bit. If they did, it'd be a coupon, and it'd probably be bumped up to 49.99, or even 59.99 with it.

Sonys main concern is for people to buy a PSP to play PSP games. Its stupid, i agree, since i'd like them to let us purchase PSP games on the PSN and play them on the PS3 in HD. They would sell a crapton more software and add the benefit of having that said person end up buying a PSP to play those games he already purchased on the go. But sony does not believe in that strategy.

Im hoping once a PSP2 happens, they will do a PSP emulator for the PS3 to give the games more software sales, just like they are going to do for PS2.
 
The PSPgo should include at least 1 game for free with your purchase in North America. Everywhere else has at least 1 game for free (Japan gets 3 for free). A free "Exclusive Demo" isn't going to cut it. The PSPgo is pretty much DOA at this point, especially since rumors are already going around about the 4000.

Back to hopefuls. I don't know how much disc space the GOW collection will take up (I'm going to guess it's a single-layer disc) but I think Sony needs to get other games on board exclusively if this does well, which I'm confident it will.

Of course we do :) GoW fans are incomplete w/o GoW:CoO. However, the PSP version plays differently and it can't really be ported over like the big brother's GoWI and GoWII. Personally, i love to earn GoW:CoO trophies as well, but i just don't see how it's going to work like the PS2 versions (PSP games on a big screen? It's going to look like crap and the control will be very awkward giving that the DS3 got two sticks while the PSP got only one...)

Crap moves like this? You ever think about why there are so few retro compilations (the really good ones) and hardly no remastered collections? I blame on "stupid" haters like you. Just let it be... You don't have to buy them, all i'm asking is, stop hating them just because they can be played on the older consoles or via suppose-to-be-BC. Obviously, this Collection this not for the mass audience, so as a fan of the series, it's really a bliss than a thorn in the ass that it actually getting released.

Horrible PSP Go? Dude, think of this way, even if sucks, the PSP Go sure will grab some new comers (people got used to the slick iPod Touch/iPhone, they don't think the PSP 3000 is sexy, UMD to them is extra dead weight). So how's that work in your favor? More PSP user base = more games/apps, simple logic. Personally, i'm intrigued by the new PSP minis and the Go is a nice way to introduce them (both user base and developers, you honestly think people are inclined to create new minis for the PSP 3000?).

I know that the PSP 1000, 2000 and 3000 can do everything the Go can. But come on now, if that's true, why there's no talk of PSP Minis until now? The real question is, will PSP gamers ever see the light of the Minis if Go is never introduced in the first place?
 
I'm very excited for this collection (especially with the demo) and would really like the SOTC and ICO one to come true as I never got the chance to play those games and would really like to do so.

I know, they are such assholes. Mocking us with their beautifully re-rendered God of War 1 and 2 on one disc. It's just like those SOB's that re-release their movies in HD - give me the damn fuzzy version!

Me too im really looking forward for this one, since i only played GoW PSP version, and i do hope there will be a new version of GoW for PSP :)

Well, seeing as how BC is officially dead due to Sony starting to do this bullshit, I wouldn't mind seeing a compilation of the 3 GTA games from PS2(not those shitty "Stories" games that were PSP ports), but only if the versions of the games allowed me to use my old saves I have lying around.

I'd probably go back into Vice City and pull another 5-6 hour Vigilante mode spree going to level 300 again at the airport. I think the last time I played the game I had about $150 million in the game.

Yes you are exactly right, Sony was the first and only company to rid itself of BC and it was only to do this. :roll:

(not to lower costs and lower the price of the system like everyone wanted by removing a feature that less than 5% of people use....)
