Grammys - just horrible
Christina Aguilera and Mariah Carey have two of the most amazing voices in popular music by far.
uh....ummm....uhhhh.....

To me all Mariah does is shriek, its not even singing. And is it me, or did she get blacker the whiter Michael Jackson got

I don't find Fergie attractive at all. Her body might be fit and all that, but there's just a dude's head attached to it. I don't believe in brown-bagging-it either.

You guys are bitching about the Grammys......I think the Rock-N-Roll Hall of Fame is fucked up. Here are some of the bands who have yet to be inducted:

Alice Cooper
Deep Purple
Kiss
Grand Funk Railroad
Uriah Heep
Iggy Pop and the Stooges

Mind you its been over 10 years for Alice Cooper. I'm sure there is more bands that I don't recall right now that haven't even been taken seriously by the Hall of Fame.

well Alice has to go in before KISS

and Iggy should go in before half the people there now

You're forgetting that some bands refuse to let themselves be nominated. For the longest time, Ozzy didn't want Black Sabbath in there. He finally caved in though

If I want to know who the most popular musicians are I'll just turn on the radio or mtv. I don't need to watch a show dedicated to it.

Most music fans I know (at least the ones that buy almost a CD a week) don't even listen to the radio. They can't stand it. Everything from repetition to censorship makes them abhor it. I listen to the radio, but then again I haven't bought a CD in a year.

well all in all at least the girl sinign with justin timberlake was worth a chuckle or 2. damn she was horrible and she danced like an arthritic zombie. i wished theyd have shown the faces of the 2 girls that didnt get chosen to see how much they were probably laughing.

Exactly. I haven't had any impulse to buy any huge new releases for a long time now as most of my CD purchases have been older material. Everything to me on the pop stations sound exactly the same these days - the same synthetic drum beat, the same tin canned lyrics, the same commercialized for your Soccer Mom's enjoyment in the mini van as she drives her spoiled brats to soccer practice.

Until the record industry realizes that this tin can crap is what's hurting them a lot then things won't change. But I suspect that any chance of that change happening won't happen. Any bands or artists today who have potential are not given a real chance since, after all, they don't become huge right away so they are easily discarded for whatever the label will push next to be the "next big thing."

That's awesome - those guys sound like Yanni when they really get going with the pan flutes.

As always for the music industry, the keyword is "out of touch"
Sorry but old Jethro Tull albums kick ass, sounds nothing like that new age douche Yanni

That said it was a serious travesty the year they won the first "heavy metal" award over Metallica...

Enjoyed seeing the Police perform after sooo long, brings back memories of summers at the pool... I hope they stop anywhere near me, like New Orleans
