I was reading a topic about Parasite Eve and I got to thinking how cool it would have been if the game had a graphical overhaul (kind of like how the original Tomb Raider is being re-done or Metal Gear Solid on the GC).

One game that immediately comes to mind is Twisted Metal 2. That was the only game from that series I really liked a lot, but it is really painful to look at nowand could use some dual analog goodness.

You didn't like TM:B? That, along with GT3, (and knowing GTA3 was coming out) is what made me buy a PS2 back in 2001.

I'd like to see RE2 redone.

TM:B's controls and physics just seemed weird to me.

I lke Ikohn's idea about GoldenEye. That would be sweet.

Also, I'd like to see Guardian Heroes (Saturn) with a Guilty Gear style make over. Also change the controls so you aren't jumping from plane to plane. Make it more of a tradional beat-em up.
Goldeneye Redone, online, for consoles, with the old bonds included as originally intended
Have you seen what they've been doing with Goldeneye: Source? Basically the original game with the Half-Life 2 engine. It's only PC, but it's still pretty gnarly looking.

It would be cool to see an updated King's Field I & II (yes I know, probably one of a small handful of people who like these two games) cause it would be great to actually get some facial textures on the people.

And of course the perennial favorite - FFVII - give the man some elbows people!

Morrowind with the Oblivion graphics engine and physics based gameplay (and maybe voice acting).
Chrono Trigger, maybe for the DS with the FF 3 engine.
Perfect Dark on the XBLA with improved character models, textures, resolution, and online multiplayer.
Resident Evil 4 on the Resident Evil Umbrella Chronicles disk with true widescreen support and Wii controls.

As for Mutant League Football? Just throw in create-a-player, and I'll buy three. Quite honestly, I'd be content if they just took Madden 'XX, swapped out the regular players for assorted monsters, threw a bunch of crazy shit out onto the field, and kept some of the "Nasty" audibles. That's all I'm really asking for, EA.
Yes, yes, YES. I can't see why they haven't revived the Mutant League series, especially considering how easy it would be to simply convert from the standard sports game. A new Mutant League football on today's systems could be amazingly fun. The original MLF is still one of my favorite Genesis games.

I approve of this. Also Xenogears. And I would love to see FF8 redone on PS3 to have the FMV graphics style be the "real-time graphics" like they showed in the PS2 demo way back when.

Goldeneye redone in DX10 and up to 32 online

Zelda Ocarina of Time and Link to the Past redone with next-gen graphics and voice acting

Super Mario RPG as a 3D Wii game

i though re4 felt perfect with the gc controller.

also, doesn't the ps2 version support widescreen?

The game is great as is. Changing everything about it would ruin it.

Pro Wrestling (NES). Why why WHY haven't they followed-up on Giant Panther, The Amazon, Kin Korn Karn, et al? As long as Nintendo did it themselves it would probably blow away most of the WWF/E games, realism be damned. Put it on the DS to avoid any chance of it trying to shoehorn motion control in there.

Punch-Out!! (NES) on the Wii, but if they do it I hope the Wii control is optional. Wii Sports Boxing sucks, and I wouldn't be too confident in Wii Punch-Out!! with the remote being much better

ThunderForce (Genesis). And if I can't get a new one, I'll take TFIII and IV on XBLA with high-def graphics.

Karate Champ (arcade). Update it into an ultra-technical fighter but base it in reality, unlike just about every other fighting game. Just keep the "STOP. JUDGE." voice guy. I still dig playing this game against my friends online via MAME once in a while. Nailing someone with the roundhouse kick to the face and watching him collapse into a pile of mishmashed pixels always rules.

I think the prime targets would be ps1 and n64 titles, where 3d first started. Final Fantasy 7/8, Resident Evils, etc etc. Pretty much the prime games of those days, but the only positive gameplay overhaul i see being only for the better to any "classic" would be an online play addition(goldeneye etc)

Well I would LOVE to see the original Deus Ex redone with better graphics, that is about the only reason I haven't finished it is because I can't sneak well with those graphics.

I would also like to Final Fantasy VII redone with Next Gen Graphics on the XBOX 360! But I release that I am just dreaming there.

The Smurfs game from the Atari days. Man I'd love to be able to tell which smurf I was making do all that jumping to save the smurfette's. That and ET. If I could really see all the detail in each one of those damn holes I was jumping over, the game woulda been so much more fun!

But seriously... Xenogears, for sho!

I would love to be able to aim my gun in RE4 with the Wiimote.
I do believe the PS2 version has true widescreen support, which makes it even more disappointing that the Gamecube version doesn't.
Oh yeah....

Xenogears and Vagrant Story would be so much nicer with PS2 level graphics.
If there is a gaming god, he (she?) must update Vagrant Story and give purpose to our measly little lives

...and fix the camera controls

I'd be happy if Sega would've not cancelled the final Eternal Champions and Streets of Rage 4.

But for true remakes? Castlevania: Symphony of the Night would be cool to revisit, though I'm not sure it could be improved beyond the PSP rehash. How about Wipeout XL? The rest of the series played like Saw, The Game - from the victims' POV - and it needs redemption. The first Loaded was another fun game with a lot of potential.

Did anyone play Bouncers on the Sega CD? You were the basketball fighting another basketball in what was sort of a fighting game. I wouldn't mind seeing a new take on that.

I'd love to see a graphically updated Perfect Dark, with the same gameplay. The first 2 Twisted Metals are also a good choice, though I would really just like to see a PS3 continuation of the series.

I waited for Super Bionic Commando and it never came.

I waited for Bionic Commando 64 and it never came.

I waited for Bionic Commando 200X and it NEVER CAME!

Im still waiting for an update to one of the best nes games ever.

Well, Vagrant Story does clean up quite nicely on the PS2 with the graphic enhancements.

And I would literally jump with joy if they released a remade Vagrant Story or a sequel.

I dunno. Dual analog Goldeneye would be sweet.

Imagine a DirectX 10 Goldeneye. All graphics redone, don't touch any of the gameplay. Up to 32 players online.

I would pay alot of money for that.
Super Mario RPG anyone?
But it is already beautiful. Perhaps if they just upped the color and pixel count.

I prefer the pixel pushing SNES/Genesis graphics. I think every thing starting with Playstation looks like ass or too real to be a game.

I like my cartoon looking games. They look fun, they do not look serious, it just seems right.

I'm probably in the minority, but the most visually appealing games in my opinion are Super Mario World and Chrono Trigger.

If anything needs fixing in terms of graphics, it's just about every good Playstation or N64 game that looked like a bunch of triangles. I'm looking at you Super Mario 64 and FF7 (and 8 and Xenogears and Chrono Cross and Star Fox and... and...).

Any of the Capcom fighting games.
They have been using the same ratthy sprites for 10-15 years.
Capcom Fighting Evolution shows how ugly and inconsistent they are.
The Guilty Gear games proved the PS2 could handle large hi-res sprites with alot of frame sof animation. So why can't Capcom do it?

Easy - lazy and cheap. It would cost too much to re-do all the animation.
And they know the fanboys will buy any Capcom Fighting game - regardless of improvements.

Plus 2D fighters are dead now.
Bushido fucking Blade!!!

Great choice, I'd also like to see another game in this series or at least an update.
