The rules! (spoilered below.) Read them! I’m serious. All credit due to our friendly neighborhood dv8mad for drafting this original set of rules. I have only tweaked them slightly to apply to a group lowball. Visit dv8cag.com for dv8mad’s Japanese item location service!
PAYMENT METHODS ACCEPTED: Amazon Payments (preferred), Paypal. Some sellers may accept alternate forms of payment and you’ll be notified if so when you receive an invoice for your winnings.
1) Simply type in your max bid for the item(s) in this thread. No PMs. No Emails. Just reply in the forum reply section. This is to keep bids public. Obviously post edits and spoilers hiding bids are NOT acceptable. If you made a mistake in your submission, please post again.
2) I will update the first page to reflect your bids as often as possible. Feel free to check the latest bids on the last page(s) if you are unsure of the latest update.
3) There is no minimum for any item. You can win them for as little as you bid. So if you bid $1.00 and win it, it's yours for a $1.00 (plus shipping). If someone bids $5 and you outbid them for $10, you may win the item for your $10 bid and pay your bid plus shipping at the end of the sale.
4) The smallest bid increment is $1.00, no $.10 or $.01 bids!
5) Please note that you will be expected to pay the amount you bid plus appropriate shipping if you have the highest offer at the end. Negative feedback may be left for those who choose not to follow through with payment.
6) If you place a bid, you are committing to that item. DO NOT place a bid if you do not intend to keep that bid active. Bid retractions are not my idea of a good time. I understand that sometimes unavoidable circumstances arise. If you are fearful that this may happen, please wait to bid on the last day so you know that nothing unexpected occurred!
7) All bids are welcome, excluding bids from CAGs on any of the members’ negative experience lists. Out of respect to the individual sellers in this lowball, if one seller will not accept a bid from a particular bidder for a given reason, none of us will. You’ll be informed via PM if someone has objections with your involvement.
8) CAGs with over 75 positive itrader at 100% are eligible for shipment before full payment if requested. Please ask if you do not feel safe bidding.
Ending the Auction:
This auction will have a solid end time. I will not be posting the exact ending time, but I will tell you it will end sometime late (EST) on 7-7-11 between 11:30:00 and 11:59:59 PM. Once I post saying AUCTION OVER - NO MORE BIDS ACCEPTED, that is it and nothing further will count.
Shipping/Payment:
If you’re new to group lowballs, this is how shipping works. For each seller that you win items from, shipping will be $3 for the first item $1 for each additional item. Because of the size/need for extra shipping materials, shipping for guides will be an extra $0.50 each. To illustrate:
You win four games from Seller A, a game and a guide from Seller B, and a game from Seller C. Your shipping costs would be as follows:
Seller A: $3 + $1 + $1 + $1 = $6
Seller B: $3 + $1 + ($0.50 x # of guides) = $4.50
Seller C: $3
Some larger items will require exact shipping and will be marked as such. It is up to the individual seller’s discretion as to whether to issue shipping reimbursement if shipping charges exceed actual shipping costs by more than a reasonable amount.
Also please keep in mind that shipping charges for any items won from dv8mad will be higher because he lives in Japan, so please contact me beforehand if you must know if something is dv8mad’s before you bid on it. He is mostly selling JP games but a few other assorted items are his.
Accepting bids from international bidders is up to the discretion of individual sellers, but it should be reasonable to assume that bids from Canada, the UK, and Japan will be universally accepted. Canucks, we know you’re getting boned by your own postal service right now, so shipping costs will probably be REALLY REALLY HIGH if you win anything as it will need to be shipped UPS or FedEx. Alternately we can hold items for you until the mail is running again, but payment will still be required upfront.

Handy guide to condition ratings! Read it and be enlightened, you’ll be glad you did.
Conditions and pics are listed for those items for which sellers have provided me with grades and images.
In an effort to make things as simplified and streamlined as possible, a single letter grade is provided for the overall condition of an item, meaning box/insert, manual, and game. Letter grades are based on the lowest-condition component of the three, so if you see something graded “C”, it simply means that at least one of the box/insert, manual, or game are in “C” condition, and not necessarily all three. Basically, things are graded conservatively to err on the side of caution. Anyway:
S – Sealed.
A – Excellent. Case/insert free of stickers/residue/nicks/tears. Manual is crisp and clean. Game shows no wear.
B – Good. Case/insert may exhibit slight wear or residue. Manual exhibits slight wear. Game shows a little normal wear from play.
C – Fair. Case/insert may have stickers, heavy residue, tears, folds, cracks, or other blemishes. Manual may have tears, folds, light waterlogging, etc. Game has a moderate amount of scratches.
D – Poor. Case/insert has visible, heavy damage. Manual may have severe tears, stains, writing, etc. Game has a heavy amount of scratching but will at least boot.
I – Incomplete. The missing component will be listed and a second score will be shown after the I. If you see a game listed as (I-B) (no manual), the B rating applies to the case and game.
U – Untestable. Used when a game is being sold by a seller who does not have the console to test it on.
GH/PC/PH – Greatest Hits, Players’ Choice, Platinum Hits
JP – Japanese region
For cart-only stuff, condition ratings generally apply to the cosmetic condition of the cart. Label tears, sticker gunk, etc. will generally be the determining factors in what grade a cart gets.
So, as the Romans used to say, caveat emptor, which I think means bid early and bid often.
